Aiyyy i just saw some extra spoilers for the finale. So the wedding ofc is a fake setup. The ones who will get married that day is actually for Wenshuo and Yuanqin (consistent with the novel). However, my poor LMX is dying - don’t tell me that DZY will never know his feelings and that his time is near? In the book, his personal maid tells her about the jade and that LMX is dying - which prompts DZY to postpone her marriage to Hy to seek treatment for LMX. I guess they’re changing it to kill off his character here?

I love the OTP and am glad they have their HE but my poor bias LMX 😭 DZY deserves to know

She didn’t do that intentionally, SML is ill and is like family to her. Yes he hs loved her his whole life but is supporting her happiness with HY

The scene with Mo Bei getting captured was WAY too easy lol, but I had a feeling they’d rush to wrap things up quickly. I really like Mo Shuang, would’ve liked to see her more. I was surprised that a princess who was doted on her whole life was capable of saving and caring for HY tho!

Yeah. He prob had an idea when she said those things, but I believe he only saw her as family - a little girl he took in and raised to become a multi talented right hand man. He only ever loves DZY

Yes! In the interview, the actress described linlangs love for LMX as similar to LMXs love for DZY. Both were ppl with unrequited love who protected the other persons happiness

Yes it was not realistic that he easily fell into such a trap but I kinda knew they were just gonna wrap things up quickly

I think it was in the epilogue when DZY told HY about how she spent the yr traveling with LMX to treat him. But for those who read the novel, correct me if I’m wrong but pretty sure it was the flower which they had no idea had healing properties

Side note, anyone watching Lost You Forever? Been hearing good things and apparently the novel writer was the scriptwriter for the adaptation and oversaw the filming. Would’ve been nice if we had that here!

So it looks like they kind of included some of the original scenes from the novel with their own twist. E.g. the scene where LMX talks to DZY when she's unconscious (I think in the novel, she only fainted after her conversation with the Emperor), and DZY recounting her childhood with HY to LMX. Ah, it was heartbreaking because it reminded me of how it was all played out in the novel - my second lead heart can't take it!

If LMX is able to get the seed to plant the flower, I feel like DZY can do the same.?I feel like LMX needs the treatment more at this point, with HY being treated after (so both men can live). I guess they want to make it more dramatic and have LMX sacrifice himself - it looks like he never thought about his own illness. I wonder if DZY will ever find out about him dying and his feelings for her (i.e. significance of the jade pendant) - I remember in the novel, his personal maid (who was in love with him, I guess LinLang took that role), told DZY about it. The whole scene with him at his near death was tragically beautiful!

Anyway, it looks like LMX and DZY going to lure HY out by putting on a show pretending that they're getting married. LinLang will die protecting LMX from getting attacked by LengBei. And then fast forward to the OTP married with their kid named after AN and LMX.

Yes LMX and DZY were engaged when she was born, glad they addressed that as it was in the novel. I guess it looks like LMX will die here (whereas he was saved last min in the novel with the flower). The flower will be used to cure HY’s eyes rather than LMX’s illness. I still love LMX :( even tho novel version was better

He seems to be more of a broody bad boy, his character is more gentlemanly in the novel right?

Yesssss i saw WKX too! Hahaha i still think that was his best role because we were able to see so many sides of him.

Not sure why ppl dont like him, i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion but he did just as much for her and protected her since she was young. I definitely think they made his character kind of pushy at times with the whole revenge plot, especially with what he did in the latest eps. If they had reflected his character from the novel, it would’ve been better

I agree LMXs character was good up until recently - the whole scenario of him shifting gears to help DZY and then the fake death scene were unnecessary. He shouldn’t have been involved in the war - not realistic that he could travel miles on a horse with his condition. He is still my fave from the novel and i do like the actor.

LMX is so good i dont want him to die. As for HY, he will get better and will be with DZY and their son later on. From ep 37 preview im pretty sure LMX will give the flower to heal HY’s eyes. The flower was supposed to be for DZY and potentially even cure hus illness, so he might die. Especially since the leads’ son will be named after Anning and LMX

Yes I miss the strong female leads (like how it was shown in earlier eps with DZY and even AN)! DZY has been a damsel several times - even the fight with Lengbei had to end with HY catching her and carrying her like a princess - for that typical romantic trope
