Daigo is surely violent, and he does tend to cross the line. But with literal cannibals, I think going a bit crazy…
He does actually say that when they are shooting thru the metal roll down door. He finally just stands there and says "fine, you wanna be crazy, then so will I" (paraphrased)
I assume this is a fictional account of the actual real occurrence in the 50s and 60s which happened to the Fore tribe in New Guinea who contracted Kura from eating corpses during funeral rituals. It's not so much a horror movie as a mystery. A very bloody mystery series. In real life, Kura victims die within a year and there is no known cure. The end stage of the three stages is loss of motor skills, losing the ability to speak, and they often develop dementia. The primary reason for dying is malnutrition/starvation because they lose the ability to eat and swallow. Most die from pneumonia Something to keep in mind if the sh*t hits the fan and there is no food except dead people LOL The series itself was presented well and you do feel the tension of what is happening to both the Gota and Kuroge. The series is also a cautionary tale of just how easy it is to brainwash people Waiting for the last two episodes to air
Sulli's brother and family speak out about how nudity was never part of the original script and that a body double…
What I find interesting is women, on one hand, getting upset that society doesn't take them seriously, but then when it suits their purpose, portray themselves as helpless victims. I see this over and over. Its a sad situation and does nothing to give women credibility in the world.
This was pretty good. The Blue Army is only mechanized, the Red uses high tech drones, EMP, etc. It showcases the issue where high tech is depended on too much and can often lose to critical thinkers who have great passion for their mission. This has been evidenced with examples like the sandal wearing, bolt rifle Afghans winning against the highly tech advanced US, and again, in the war of the Houthiās against the US in the Red Sea. Well done movie.
Thru out the entire movie we see the ML is a superb critical thinker, he is able to make successful spontaneous…
The scriptwriter gives small clues instead of blatantly giving us an answer. There is a remark made by his friend that his shipment was worth almost a half a million dollars.
So if the shipment was worth a half a mil, we can reasonably assume the profit is at least two to three times that. And we mustnāt forget that this was decades ago, the valuation of the national currency is a key as to why they were making so much money. Every scene that there is a bribe paymentā¦.its in USD.
Viewers are missing the understanding that the scriptwriter assumes most people watching these kind of dramas already possess., Consequently many viewers, looking for an entertainment film, are left feeling a little lost.
The title is a good one but an even better one might have been āinside the mind of a cartel leaderā. Viewers must approach viewing this movie as a character study, not just pure mindless, no point entertainment.
In the final scenes we get to see on his face the realization that there is no loyalty even among thievesā¦..and he makes the remark that the world is a cruddy place and riches make no,difference.

I agree it would have been better as a six or eight part seriesā¦that said the way the focus of the movie as a step by step character study of someone who always plans ahead while making lemonade out of lemonsā¦ā¦..I found refreshing.
Itās a movie for people who donāt have to be spoon fed. Its a movie where viewers realize WHY someone becomes a leader of a cartel.
When we look around at real life cartelsā¦..its only rarely even large governments are able to bring them downā¦.when they do, its almost always an inside job.
Off hand I would say cartel leaders have a genius mind and what makes them deadly is they are pragmatic and unemotional. Emotional people make mistakes.
In my mind probably the goods that he recovered were more profitable than down jackets - LOL. He is a secretive man. We see he travels by jet, he wears designer clothesā¦.his dreams are largeā¦so the movie is more about what he isā¦.and the rest of the organizationā¦.is not.
There is a clue of his secretive inner dealings in who he chose to deal with his friend.
Question : does anyone know how Song Joong Ki's character acquired his money between the killing of Alejandro…
Thru out the entire movie we see the ML is a superb critical thinker, he is able to make successful spontaneous decisions, he has a great business acumen. The other businessmen were what we call small thinkersā¦..they only live for the day and most have no inspirations in life. Its the difference between a guy who opens a burger stand and runs it till he retires at 70, and a guy who opens a burger stand and then starts a franchisee and retires at 50. A small example was his goal to build the shopping mall, something they had only discussed in passing many years before. But yet, we see a architects model on his deskā¦..he is a man that carries thru on a dreamā¦..where his friend only ādreamsā. There are actually a lot of cues as to how this manās mind works, thru out the whole movieā¦..he is detail oriented and isnāt afraid to take a chanceā¦..that is a trait we see in all rich businessmen.
I liked it. For people who wondered where he got the money, I wonder whether they were really watching the movie. They recovered all the goods when they stole them back from Alexandro. They lost their savings, but not the goods. it was a turning point in the movie so I donāt understand how anyone missed it. I felt it was a very realistic portrayal about greed. But where does greed stem from? Fear. People who are fearful are the ones who turn out like the main character. They have an unrealistic idea that control equals securityā¦ā¦it doesnāt, it actually makes you more vulnerable, as he repeatedly finds out. Cartel leaders always get murdered sooner or later. If you try to kill your way to the top of the food chain, eventually you also become the food. I love the scripts he chooses, they are always a little quirky and offbeat, and in my opinion his niche is the cold blooded killer. Its what made Vincenzo so popular, and he brings that same intensity to Bogota. The whole cast did a great job. Good script, no plot side trips, I liked that they didnāt try to weasel a romance in. I thought the documentary type script style worked here pretty well.
