Personally, I think that is a ridiculous concept. How could people assume that I am offended, or why? Even though I am an atheist, this saying sums up my view of the subject “vengeance is mine sayeth the lord” 😂.
I come from a different era…..it takes a lot, a whole lot before I get upset about something, or even care. It would take something akin to a person murdering a child before I would get riled up.

I am deaf......the criticism is a nothing burger imo. Seems like a lot of people have nothing going on in their life. 🤣

I think there are more than a few of us out here that steer away from continual “drama”, whether onscreen or in real life. I tend to gravitate more to CDramas for that reason and will often watch KDramas with the sound off. 😂

He is a real enigma for viewers. I kept getting the feeling he is actually one of the mistresses sons. The scene in the brothel was kinda strange….seemed sensual to me rather than just caring. We will never know.

I had trouble with this one too but different reasons.

First, as a really dedicated martial artist myself , I have always had immense respect for WDH. Seeing him smoking was traumatic for me and really kinda ruined the series for me. How could a person who has dedicated himself lifelong to almost obsessiveness with his physical fitness, care so little for his health? Just really disappointed. I found myself constantly thinking “if he lights up another one, I am f**king jumping thru the screen and killing him.”

I am a real fan of Jung-Se and he didn’t disappoint here. He is always a scene stealer….emotions ooze out of his every pore. He looks so handsome with the beard.

Jo Han Chul and Kim Hae Sook gave stellar performances.
In closing…..I think I prefer WDH in historicals or something like Bloodhounds
I also was sparse on the tears……only teared up when Jung-Se would cry.

For the life of me I fail to wrap my head around people who write nasty comments about someone else’s comments. EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion. EVERYONE. She never said anything mean, neither was she judge mental…she calmly, and succinctly said she didn’t like it.

Thank you. I was debating paying the money to Hulu to watch it but your comment about unnecessary violence has convinced me not to spend the $.
I love series about drug trafficking, etc…..but they never go over the top just because they can. What happens always fits with the situation.
It’s nice to read, although it doesn’t happen very often…..people being honest in their review….so many just ignore that something is bad or over done because they love the leads.

Superb. First really realistic movie or series on drug trafficking I have watched. Same goes for the fight scenes….really gritty and well choreographed. I’d say those scenes produced some hurting puppy actors…LOL…..no way they got away without being hurt while filming those scenes, especially the last fight.
Unusual to have a plot where the drug trafficker kingpin is an excellent martial artist.

You know the saying “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure”?

If you re-read my comment, I stopped watching at E10. Sometimes in KDramas, they change dynamics about half way thru so I sometimes stay with it if I like the actors a lot. This didn’t change by E10, so I dropped it.
Also, I am a quiet person and I don’t like a lot of unnecessary noise. This one had a lot of shouting or negative attitudes and when that happens I turn the sound off. Why bring that kind of vibration into my world?

Dropped at E10. A horrendous deplorable script that could have been written by a grade schooler. I tried to stay with it because I like the ML and FL and they did a good job of acting in a horribly written script so I tried to hang on.
I even tried to just skip ahead to E14 but it's like a ground hog day series....just the same drivel over and over again
I had to watch it with the sound off.....God.....the screaming mother, the shallow self centered mother.......t just goes on and on, and just for the record, I would not put up with an overbearing mother who wants me to be her puppet.....probably why I left home at 17 and never returned.

This may very well be the most profound movie/series ever produced. I had to stop watching at different points because it was just too emotional for me to absorb.

Neanderthal……cro-magnon, etc. Why has it not occurred to mankind that evolution never ceases?

I have a new question. Does it keep cycling the evolutionary points? Does the planet cease to exist when the last cycle reaches a certain number of repetitions of 7 or 9?

Does each repetition ascend a little further than the last before it enters the next phase, or is it abrupt. In other words, focusing on the Neanderthal phase, but in the next repetition (cycle) does the Neanderthal phase drop some of the more violent consciousness before it Cycles to Cro-Magnon, etc.

If that is true, then earth is again cycling in the Neanderthal phase but has dropped the physical manifestation (which is portrayed in Sweet Home) just retaining the violent consciousness.

This is so interesting to me. It gives a whole new meaning to what the Ascension means. It is individual but also planetary, which I already knew….but it reminds me of what a Master once told me….that we never should be concerned about saving people (religious) because they will all evolve according to their own timeline.

I am NOT liking this trend of Chinese actors completely reconstructing their face so they no longer look Asian…then adding insult to injury by bleaching their skin. 😡

Dropped. Getting really sick of lazy authors who use a revenge plot so they don’t have to actually spend time writing a decent script.
