Yes, he low-key keeps an eye out for her. In the latest episode, it's probably the most apparent when he goes to find her at night with his fish bowl lol. It's a great little scene between them. This is a very slow-burn romance.

Yeah, I think I'm going to wait and see until at least when the female lead shows up and see if things work for me. I liked WHD best in Love Between Fairy and Devil from 2022.

This has been a real treat for me in an overall meh year as far as C dramas (in my opinion). Solid from beginning to end and written with an elegance I haven't seen in a while in Chinese period dramas - makes me miss the good old days.
