It’s far from dark lol the manga and novel could be a bit dark with the art style and psychological elements but this drama version made to be very light tone coming of age story and even tone down Hira character + light cinematography and OST.
I mean… I wouldn’t be too mad at how people kept spamming low rating on this drama on MDL because while it’s stupid and biased but, MDL doesn’t reflect how well the drama received overall. Let’s be honest, shows like pornographer got like 7.2 or smth here and still got quality sequels completed lol it’s how the strong fanbase that willing to pay locally for them, not the hype from people here. Utsukare goods like books, blu-ray sale number ranked top in japan and asian fanbase from JP TH and CN still crazy for it everyday and that’s all it needs. So yeah don’t stressed over this information page and support official releases.
