By far my favourite MDL article. I love your style of writting and didn't think I'd enjoy reading it as much as I did or gain much from it, but I did. I love that you included "Goodbye, My Princess", a drama I hated and couldn't finish (but spoilt all off) entirely because of how much I resented the ML and because I couldn't understand how and why he was so selfish and cruel, and able to essentially get away with everything. But with this context that it was the norm at the time for a person in his position to be the way he was, it makes the drama far more understandable, but not anymore likeable, at least for me. I also love that you included Moon Lovers. I loved the ending of that drama because there was litterally no other way for the FL to get a happy ending of any sort. But it's interesting to know that in real life, the emporor the ML was based off of, wanted to, and actually did marry his sister because he didn't want more corruption. I know that a lot off, if not all of the period dramas I've watched are VERY romanticised and not in any way historically accurate, but it's also very eye opening to see just how inaccurate they are in every way. I also know that I wouldn't be able to stand watching a historically accurate "romance" drama especially if it has anything to do with the Royal family.
I've never heard of this drama, it's currently airing episode 12, and I'm usually up to date with Li Hong Yi. Does anyone know where can I watch this drama?
I LOVED this drama. It was adorable, but not annoyingly so, it wasn't in the least bit cringe and the cast was perfect. The little girl was adorable, the male lead is handsome as hell and the female lead reminded me of the FL from Extraordinary You, at least look wise. A drama with no annoying characters and straight to the point. Also, the main leads are surprisingly the same age as the characters they played.
He is a jerk in suspicious partner. But wasn't his character in antifan also hateful? I havent watch the drama…
His charecter isn't bad in Antifan, he has a long history with the ML where they were friends but he comes off as bad solely because of the SFL, a whole love triangle thing. But the only bad person on Antifan was the SFL, his character had, in my opinion, the best character arc.
A Chinese drama that is entirely in Korean. The only the only thing Chinese about it is the main male lead who is Chinese and spoke Mandarin. His vioce was also dubbed over in Korean, I actually liked his dubbed voice, but why was he speaking Mandarin over everyone else's Korean. I'm also curious about why this is labelled as a Cdrama and not a Kdrama.
This was the only version of this story I found bearable and I LOVED Darren as the ML, his character was surprisingly NICE, as the cover picture portrays.

What I don't understand is how this story is so popular, there's so many remakes of it and they are all highly rated and recommended everywhere. I watched two versions of this, season 1 of the Japanese version, the second one was a movie and it was by accident. But, Darren Wang's Taiwanese movie version of this story was actually okay because the ML was always nice to the FL and the FL wasn't that big of a carpet.
I watched 2 episodes and I can't with this drama. The FL is BORING and so timid. I HATE her mother and little brother and I HATE how she doesn't stand up for herself, not even to her family.
I've watched 21 episodes and so far, the second and third female lead have fighting scenes, but not the main female lead. The main female lead can fight, but doesn't despite the storyline requiring people to fight. The main female lead is the most boring character in this drama.
I didn't see love triangle on the tags (ones shown at front) but there is one, maybe two. Both were ridiculously annoying.
The FL is in love with the ML who clearly said he doesn't love her, and she was unreasonably set on him, litterally following him EVERYWHERE, despite having such a sweet admirer and friend in the SML who worshipped her. I shipped her so bad with the SML throughout, I HATED how she loved the ML.
The SFL was the character I HATED most. A character that stabbed the leads in the back SEVERAL times and yet they both trusted and believed in her. Also, she too fell for the ML, who was TOO nice to her for his own good. I don't get why he didn't just let her die considering the fact that she MURDERED his family.
If anyone is wonderimg whether any of the one sided love stories have a happy ending, in the sense that they have their love be reciprocated, they don't. But all the endings were open endings suggesting that they move on, only one story had a happy ending showing that they moved on. The first story is (for me) the saddest, it was also the longest. The second last story with the cousin was my favourite and the one I shipped the most.
Praomook is a recent one that just finished. Definitely has this scene, but I preferred the fake gay relationship over the actual enemies to lovers romance
