Look, Choi Hye Mi had NO BROKEN RIBS. Ever. Nada. Period. She claimed severely BRUISED ribs. Fun fact uncovered by KHJ's lawyer in the spring of 2015 - Choi Hye Mi went to a clinic for this rib injury 3 days BEFORE she got the certificate that she gave the police. Yep, that first doctor gave her a diagnosis of 3 week recovery for bruised ribs - SHE told him she fell at the gym! But then she got the second one - apparently crying on the new doctor's shoulder about how her BF beat her up etc. No XRays ever. No broken rib.
There is absolutely no evidence of 'battery' in this case. In fact the ONLY 'evidence' Choi Hye Mi has submitted that's not disputed nor an outright falsification is that certificate of 2 week bruising she gave, which certainly tallies with KHJ's account of that one mutually physical fight where he pushed her out of his flat cause she wouldn't leave - where SHE bit and scratched him (captured in the June 2014 fan cams and concert footage BTW). However, fun fact: that medical certificate does NOT correspond with those UNAUTHENTICATED pictures she sold to Dispatch in August! Nope, not at all.
Choi Hye Mi has been convicted of fraud and defamation, lost every one of her court cases and appeals, and ADMITTED lying. She apologized for it. The people who have all the actual evidence - ie the prosecutors, and the military judge - want her thrown in jail. The prosecutors appealed once again to the Supreme Court in SK that her sentence is too lenient!
You obviously have not actually read all the available accounts of this case that have appeared in objective, respected news sites.
She lied to KHJ several times about being pregnant - most horrifically she lied to him about that in May 2014 - claiming that when he pushed her out of his apartment she fell and it caused a miscarriage (LIES - she wasn't even pregnant, and she had no injuries severe enough to do such a thing). She got half a million dollars out of him for not taking that lie to the papers - THAT'S the FRAUD she was convicted of! Her selling unauthenticated photos and texts to Dispatch was the DEFAMATION part of that conviction.
Yes, apparently there is a child - she managed to get an ATM kid out of KHJ by lying & blackmailing him. He NEVER denied that this could be his kid, either. He just always wanted paternity testing done - like ANY guy wants with his EX! Especially this one... In fact the Family Court in SK requires such testing - and he complied immediately, paid for it and got time off from MS to do it, and video-taped it. SHE had to be court-ordered to comply. Yet idiots still pretend that he denied this child. It astounds me (although given the state of politics in the US it shouldn't) that anyone could seriously say that in the face of the evidence.
He never admitted to beating up or abusing anyone. Never. He said, one mutually physical fight involving pushing & shoving - that's what he meant by laying hands on her. He also did think he'd accidentally hurt her (the rib thing) but she'd LIED and that's proven.

He did fine in BOF & Playful Kiss because those roles did not require him to do much acting. He DID act very well in Inspiring Generation, and I have high hopes of him here - excellent first episode! He's certainly easy on the eyes :D

Viki, Kocowa, & OBK aren't going anywhere tho. Kocowa especially because it's owned by the 3 top Korean broadcast networks, so it's their own dramas they are showing.

That was a total lie from AT&T tho. Those greedy corporate A$$hats want to make a big bundled service to rival Netflix - and will charge a good bit more for it than what we paid for DF. Or for HBO - which will also be in said new channel & not available solo anymore, I predict.

I like the drug sub-plot, with the murder & investigation. I like Jang Hyuk, & the daughter's storyline. I HATE the whole boxing thing & that rival of his. I keep thinking I'll drop it & then changing my mind LOL

It's outrageous that AT&T just dissed millions of subscribers this way. I prefer to not STEAL if I don't have to - cause without money going to the companies who make these dramas there won't BE any more. I want to support the artists. DramaFever was a legal site. So is VIKI and Kocowa, as well as Netflix & Amazon. So no, unless I have to I'm not going to illegal sites. I'd rather just buy the DVDs of these dramas in fact.

I am NOT going to shell out a bunch of money for a site run by AT&T. I don't trust them a bit. I'll be fine with VIKI, Kocowa, and Netflix. If I have to watch a few more dramas on illegal sites, or actually BUY dramas, then so be it. I've boycotted AT&T for 20 years and have no intentions of breaking that now.

I agree that even those who think he's more at fault should give him a second chance. He did do some things that certain people will find negative (casual sex for instance) so I don't think he's pure as the driven snow or anything. But he deserves a fair assessment and a chance to redeem himself, definitely.
