I have no problem with the angst. 1-2 episodes of angst in a 40 episode drama, I consider normal. You don't have to be always lovey-dovey to show how healthy your relationship is.
I have a little problem with the way it is done. But again its too early to say this based on previews. I will watch the entire thing, till episode 40 and then voice out my opinion.

No they don't. It was not that serious of a reveal in the novel. Before he confessed to her about his identity, she had guessed it, but did not confront him about it. It was pretty late in the novel, I think in the second last chapter.

The original work and the drama have no similarity except the names and a very few basic characteristics of some characters.

What I don't understand is, the character in the novel was barely someone important. Why did they have to give a lovestory to him with so many scenes.

Its about JC's mother inviting FL's friend for JC's birthday.
Maybe he will tell that to his parents, but I will never see those scenes if the leads aren't in the scene.
