Giving my 2 cents- I really really loved the cinematography of the battle scene. I think its the best I have ever seen. A lot of stuff happened in 2 episodes, I am kind of dizzy, and I will have to rewatch, but yeah I expected, they have to rush it now a little. I am happy about the palace politics arc that is going to start now.

Xie Zheng has never questioned Sui Yuanhuai's parentage. The fact is ML never saw Sui Yuanhuai, he never came to battles so when Sui Yuanhuai introduced himself as Mr. Qi from the capital, ML though did not trust him, but never found a connection to Suis.It was only in episode 28, end scene, ML realized after hearing from Zhao that Sui Yuanhuai is actually the assumed dead son Qi Min.I remember ML telling his subordinates later in Linan, to gather information about Mr. Qi. They told him they had no info. I think this is because Qi Min being weak was always confined at home.So I think though ML distrusted Mr.Qi as a rice merchant from the capital, but he never knew he was Changxin's son or Crown Prince's real son before ep 28.

I have tried to see a lot of them though. Like many cdramas with normal political intrigues and everything I have seen. But then binge watching is not really me, I did see a lot of them while I had a long holiday. But for now I think airing dramas suit me. Plus I really have fun commenting and discussing with others, while the drama airs, binge watch never gives me that satisfaction.
Trust me I really want to watch them- Bai Lu has so many I regret missing them- but all those internal energy, heaven, hell, demons, sects, reincarnation, its so heavy on me. LITC has been on my list as well. So if I get to complete these and even When the Destiny brings demon which you recommended, I will definitely ask you for more recommendations.

My first cdrama was in 2023 Hidden Love. But I just watched few of them then after that When I fly towards you, Only for love. But this was it, I was not into cdramas as such, except very few, I watched kdramas. I don't remember if I have watched any historical cdrama before The Double, or maybe it was that good that I forgot if I did. So yeah after The Double, I watched many. But I watched it last year, like not while it was airing. Like now historical cdramas are my favourite genre. But I did not know about MDL before last June-July, so that's when I created my account.

1. Prince Changxin's consort and elder son Sui Yuanhuai were in the eastern palace along with Crown Princess and her son Qi Min. Crown Princess set the palace on fire, burnt her son's face, changed clothes with Sui Yuanhuai, and sent Qi Min out of the palace with some loyal subordinates. Sui Yuanhuai, his mother, and Crown Princess died in the fire. Qi Min lived as Sui Yuanhuai in Prince Changxin's home. For everyone, it was Qi Min who died, and Sui Yuanhuai who lived, but in reality it was the opposite.

After death of Crown Prince, Crown Princess realized it was a conspiracy hence feared the life of her son. So that he survives, she did that to let the world assume that crown prince's son was dead, hence no threat to her son.

About who killed crown prince- that's a spoiler, and not shown in the drama till yet.

They had problems they were going through during these episodes, with conflicts, misunderstandings, true identities, their goals and everything, hence he just got pecks. But we will have what we want soon. Social media is full with their hot steamy scenes. So we will get them.
