Oh god, the next episode. I REALLY hope the traitor isn't Dan. I like Gumpa, but honestly, I'd rather it be him than Dan. I mean, Gumpa is the one who suggested getting the police involved to begin with.
I...I don't know how much more of this I can watch. The characters are all annoying, creepy, or both. And as much I hate using the word "cringey" because I feel like people use it way too much to describe anything, that's the best way I can describe this plot. Honestly, I'm only watching it because the episodes are in 4K HDR and it looks REALLY good on my TV. So maybe I'll just turn my brain off and enjoy looking at the pretty colors and the individual strands of hair on everyone's head. 😅
It's funny. I feel like the original Color Rush was primarily a romance with elements of mystery in the background that doesn't get fleshed out much at all. But Color Rush 2 is the complete opposite where they dive deep into that mystery and the romance takes a backseat. But both suffer from really abrupt endings. I'll be totally hooked throughout the show with its unique premise and story, really looking forward to how it's all resolved, but then watch as it stumbles to a rushed conclusion. At least they leave room for a possible sequel. Also, both kiss scenes are a let down...
God damn, Black is ruthless. And I thought Sean could be a dick sometimes, but at least he apologizes. White NEEDS to tell Sean the truth though. There is no reason to keep up this charade. Black is already awake. It's only a matter of time until they both show up in the same place in front of everyone.
Maze: Phap should pursue his calling as an artist and go to Japan. Keeping him employed here is only shackling his potential. So I'm going to push him away for his own good. In fact, I'll fire him. He's fired. He has no choice but to go now. It's for the best
Also Maze: How could you go to Japan and leave me alone like that, you selfish jerk!? Do you ever think of anyone but yourself!? I was so lonely without you!
What...the fuck!? I'm really upset because I thought this show was really good up until the end of episode 9, then it took a nosedive in quality. All these characters I had come to like were suddenly super unlikable and by the end I didn't even care if they got together or not...
Omg same I dropped after ep 9 . I was gonna start ep 10 but as soon as I saw Nueng in ep 10 acting like nothing…
Yeah, honestly, I was enjoying this show quite a bit until the end of episode 9. That's when this show lost me. It's like someone hit the reset button on Maze's character development and Nueng was momentarily possessed by an asshole ghost, but by the time he came to his senses, it was too late.
I really liked this show but, man, what a nothing ending that was. The show just...stopped. The last episode plays out like any other, with the usual shenanigans and introductions of new drama, but just ends before any of them are resolved. There better be a season 2...
Calling it now. Tawi is being genuine and doesn't know about the drug trafficking. Someone else who may be affiliated with Tawi in some way is the mastermind. Black probably found out the truth and that's why he was almost killed. And I don't wanna say Tod is sus but...Tod is sus.
Really not sure how this is all gonna be resolved in just one more episode. I doubt it can without feeling rushed and unearned. Maze NEEDS to apologize and admit that he's been treating Phap poorly for any progress to be made. But based on the previews, he still seems very stubborn. Their dynamic of free spirit and stiff businessman was cute for like the first 9 episodes, but then got annoying when you realize the show's almost over and they're still arguing and hurting each other more often than not. The best thing about this show though is its all-star cast. This show has so many familiar faces from different Thai BLs over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if in the final episode, we see one more famous Thai BL actor make an appearance.
That ending was so confusing. I thought it was about to reveal that Nueng is actually a giant asshole, but then he's all like "I was just testing you." What!? It really complicated what was otherwise a very cute episode...
Looking at the show's score and reading some of the comments saying how slow and boring this is, I had my expectations at rock bottom. But I gotta say, I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this show. I mean, it is another BL with a love triangle where it's painfully obvious who's gonna win and who stands no chance. And then you dread the moment that the loser gets rejected because they're a nice person and they don't deserve it. Very predictable. However, this is the only series that has ever made me genuinely wish all three of them could just be together because I REALLY loved their dynamic as a trio. Even the two who were competing still cared about each other in the end. At the end of the day, they're all friends. If there is a season 2, I hope it's just the three of them living together with dumb little shenanigans and minimal drama.
But overall, I liked this. It was cute if nothing else. It's definitely my favorite thing from Star Hunter Entertainment. I know some comments thought this was slow and boring, but honestly, it's the only show from Star Hunter that managed to keep my attention the whole way through.
I liked the concept of the show and I also thought the actors' chemistry was good. Some pretty solid kissing scenes too, they really didn't hold back there. But the story, script, and editing just screamed RUSHED! Like, this really needed more than 5 episodes. Although funnily enough, as rushed as this show felt, there were still plenty of super slow scenes that didn't go anywhere...
Overall, I really enjoyed it. I think it's strengths are the characters, acting, concept, cinematography, and the sheer intensity it invoked throughout. But I do hope for a season 2, because there are a lot of unanswered questions as well as plot points they introduced that didn't really go anywhere by the end of it. I'm a big fan of Danganronpa, so I had a feeling I'd enjoy this. And Danganronpa 1 also ended with a lot of unanswered questions that eventually got answered in later entries, so I'm hoping Squid Game is the same.
God damn, why they gotta do Nont like that!? It's so mean. If this was supposed to be a love triangle, it was a horrible one. It was less of a triangle and more of a line with a dot somewhere off to the side.

Also GOD this show is boring! It has no plot, stuff just happens, but it's not interesting stuff either. It moves at a snail's pace. They decide to focus on the worst couple in the show where they're constantly beating around the bush about getting together, even when all issues have been resolved and they both know they like each other. In regards to Wayu and Thanu's relationship, you could go from episode 6 straight to episode 9, and you'll have missed nothing. And then after 9 episodes of waiting for them to finally kiss, it wasn't even a satisfying one... 😩
Also Maze: How could you go to Japan and leave me alone like that, you selfish jerk!? Do you ever think of anyone but yourself!? I was so lonely without you!
