Episode 7 felt like it focused way more on the 3 bros and their friendship than the actual romance. I understand the whole thing was about puppy love and having a crush, so I wasn't expecting anything deep, but the two barely interacted at all. This is evidenced by how they both liked each other and confessed their feelings because they thought each other was cute and thats it, because they probably didn't have much else to go on.
What's going on with BL lately? I don't think it should be soft-core porn, but there's absolutely nothing now.…
Felt the exact same way. I thought this was the best story so far, but also the worst romance. I was really enjoying it until the end where it seemed like the writers remembered that this is supposed to be a BL. So they shoehorned in a romantic angle at the end, when for the majority of the episode it didn't feel that way. I honestly felt like them slapping on romance actually got in the way of what was otherwise a solid story. It changes Tonnam's motivation from him wanting to expose corrupt people because of his strong sense of justice and wanting to make a change, to him just doing it because he caught feelings for a boy. :/
Am I stupid? Episode 4 confused me. Like, I'm not sure I fully understood the conflict near the end. I know that Mek wants to be open with their relationship, but Balloon can't because of family pressure. But why did Mek just decide he was gonna ghost Balloon instead of talking to him and why did him overhearing Balloon's conversation with Ozone make him breakdown crying? Wouldn't overhearing that conversation help Mek understand Balloon's point of view better? But his reaction was like he just witnessed Balloon cheating or something. And they never even talked, it just skipped straight to them being okay somehow??
it's a mafia drama. 😆 it's suppose to be dark and gritty. violence, murder etc is their daily bread and butter.
The intent is important. If they're trying to show us how brutal the mafia is through a super toxic "relationship" that we're supposed to find disturbing, then cool. I'm fine with that. Kind of like Killing Stalking. The two MCs' relationship is incredibly fucked up, but that's the point. It's a horror series. It's supposed to be horrifying. But I've also seen too many BL that have toxic relationships with harassment and manipulation, yet they still end up together in the end and the intent is for us to find it sweet and cheer for them. So I just hope this show doesn't go the direction of the latter.

I'm 100% down for a dark and gritty BL with some action and violence personally. But if this story is really about a rape victim falling in love/lust with a rapist, then I'm not gonna cheer for them or find it sexy, nor should anyone. Violence, abuse, and manipulation between enemies, I'm cool with that. But between "lovers"? No.
I haven't actually read the original book though, this is just from what I've heard from others who supposedly have. And the drama could change some things so we'll see.
Wait...I'm confused. Who was at fault, Jaidee or Tac? Tac said that Jaidee got him drunk and blackmailed him? But the texts between them from earlier read like Tac was the one who took advantage of Jaidee or at least lied to her. Am I missing something?
I'm guessing the actor playing the father isn't actually a singer and they couldn't fake the concert, so they had to come up with an excuse why it had to be skipped. :P
I specifically watched episode 2 for Yacht. It's really refreshing seeing him play a character who isn't a total jokester. I want to see him in more main roles!
So is it bad that episode 13 was my favorite one because I was way more invested in Yu Zhen and Zi Tong's backstory than the main story? Yeaaah, I don't know what it was about them, but I just wasn't feeling Yu Zhen and Shi Lei's chemistry or attraction throughout the show. The plot tells me that they're falling for each other, but I didn't "feel" it. I was just taking their word for it because this is a BL so of course they're gonna get together somehow. But when it came to Yu Zhen and Zi Tong's relationship, seeing the genuine love they shared followed by the heartbreak of their inevitable break up, I FELT that shit, in just ONE episode!
I saw some earlier comments saying the original novel was problematic. What exactly about it was problematic though, because I've never read it of course? Is it the usual BL/Yaoi crap of romanticizing rape scenes and manipulative/abusive relationships or is it because it's really violent? If it's the latter then, I mean, it's the mafia. I'm expecting (and anticipating) violence.
So I actually discovered this movie on Pornhub a few years ago. No joke. I clicked because it had a sexually enticing thumbnail, but kept watching for its bizarre plot. 😂
How the hell did Taekyung win the contest when he flopped so hard on stage!?
Also, I've got a lot of respect for Daon now. I never disliked him at all, but I love how in this episode he's fully committing to Taekyung. I know some Shinwoo fans are saying he has no right and should stay in his lane, but no, he's showing Taekyung how serious he is. This is what Taekyung wanted from him for a while now. He's showing Taekyung that he is his priority. He's late, but better late than never I suppose. And it's not like Taekyung told Daon to go away and he's overstepping his boundaries. Honestly, the way Taekyung noticed Daon in the crowd first, asked where Daon was first, and still looks at him with those same doe eyes after all this time, is quite telling in my opinion. If it does go in that direction, I will feel really bad for Shinwoo because he doesn't deserve this.
But I'm really not on any "team". If anything, I'm "Team SeeWhatHappens" and "Team NamgungBetterNotEndUpWithSohee".
