I agree with everything, except I didn't think Thua's sudden change was that unexpected. Well...it was unexpected,…
Yeah, it was...a lot. And I do agree with everything in your second paragraph. Going from part 3 to part 4 felt like an entire part was missing. The tonal change was bizarre.
Hmm. I have mixed feelings. I like that it wasn't predictable, but I don't think it was adequately set up, and…
I agree with everything, except I didn't think Thua's sudden change was that unexpected. Well...it was unexpected, but it quickly made sense to me. Throughout the show, he's been completely neutral. He was the guy that didn't get involved or say what was really on his mind. He was the silent one that looked away from the issues. But it was pretty clear that he did have opinions on everything, but just wouldn't say it. So here, he finally lets it all out, it's just that we see he was apparently holding in a lot more than we thought.
Okay, it was weird how everyone was angry at Thua in part 3 for exposing them to the whole school and continuing the Suppalo curse after Akk, but in part 4 everyone's all friendly with him as if it never happened. Did they make up off-camera? I feel like that's really something that needs to be shown. Also, despite all the revelations, I feel like nothing has really changed with the school. And there's only 1 episode left.
Are you kidding me!!? 20 episodes!? When!? How!? This is so stupid!! And this series wouldn't have to be so long if they didn't waste so much time on worthless scenes that don't go anywhere or add anything. Can't wait for the 20th episode to air, only for nothing to happen and we magically get 10 more episodes!! 🤪
So I was actually into this new plotline of an evil doctor trying to kill a family. As ridiculous and out of nowhere it was, it woke me up and got me to pay attention. I'm a sucker for suspense. But the show has completely squandered this golden opportunity for an exciting storyline by continuing to move at a snail's pace and now we only have 1 episode left. 1 episode! How in the hell are they gonna wrap everything up in 1 episode!?
And what the HELL is wrong with Payoo!? People are literally trying to MURDER Kim and you bring a bunch of his friends to come see him all with cell phones that can be tracked. Now their lives are all in jeopardy too! 🤦♂️
I needed this. I'm getting tired of enemies-to-lovers storylines and I've always hated when one character has a toxic personality or there's some kind of power imbalance between the two. I'm also tiring of shows where one character is in a constant state of gay panic and they don't admit their feelings until the show's basically over.
Here, we have two characters with a mutual attraction to each other, they start dating immediately, and the whole show is just watching how their relationship develops. And many BLs would've had them break up at some point over a stupid misunderstanding only for them to get back together in the end, but these two never allowed it to get to that point. They have ups and downs, but any issues they have are resolved quickly because they actually communicate. THANK GOD!
With the direction the story is taking, I kinda feel like Sun doesn't really have a place in it right now. The main characters that matter to what's going on are Kim, Phayu, Santi, Suwan, and (possibly) Rain. Oddly enough, Sun, the second main character of the show, is just a bystander at the moment.
I've never fast-forwarded or skipped parts in a show before, no matter how much I thought it was bad. I hate feeling like I missed something, so even if a show is painfully slow and boring, I never skip anything because context is very important to me. But this show is the first to actually make me skip through several scenes. I even skipped through one of the erotic scenes because I just did not care. At a certain point, the only thing that was helping me endure this show was hearing that IceTee eventually become a thing. So I pushed through the remaining episodes just so I can have context for the special IceTee episode. And while I enjoyed it significantly more than the main series (mainly just because I didn't hate the two characters), it still wasn't that great...
I feel like IceTee's relationship kinda came out of left field and was overall underdeveloped, and yet I still enjoyed them significantly more than the main couple.
I think I'm realizing that I really like shows where the top/seme subverts expectations. These characters are often cold, dismissive, or even aggressive like they're either way too cool for the bottom/uke or feel like they're above them, only to slowly warm up to them over time. That's boring and predictable. But I like it when they show that they were both equally whipped for each other from the start. The top/seme is cool and collected on the outside, but freaking out on the inside or has some kind of weird personality quirk. It's much more endearing. I felt the same way about Nuea from SCOY.
Ugh! I feel like I wasted my subscription on AIS Play. I just started watching this, but I feel like I'm missing so much context because they won't translate the texts, tweets, and comments. Then I hear that Gagaoolala is getting this show a bit later and they will translate the texts. And the other show I really wanted to watch on AIS Play, Triage, isn't even there anymore. I guess there's Oh! My Sunshine Knight, but that's just one show and it's kinda slow so far.
And what the HELL is wrong with Payoo!? People are literally trying to MURDER Kim and you bring a bunch of his friends to come see him all with cell phones that can be tracked. Now their lives are all in jeopardy too! 🤦♂️

Ayan: "Why're you so jumpy? It's just a cat."
Me: WHY IS THERE A CAT IN THE BOY'S LOCKER ROOM!!!?
