So how do I watch this? I thought it was on AIS Play, so I became a member on their channel. But the only member-only videos I'm seeing are Oh! My Sunshine Knight and War of Y.
Errr, controversial much! I'm sitting here honestly wondering if at any point did Pleng SAY he didnt want a relationship…
Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of comments shitting on Duean Yi, and while I think they both were dumb, I'm more on Duean Yi's side. He's been very transparent with his feelings and what he ultimately wants from the beginning. 100% wearing his heart on his sleeve. There was no way Pleng could've misunderstood that. Duean straight up tells Pleng he likes him and wants to pursue him, and Pleng even challenges him to try. And then Thitnuea tells Pleng that if he's not serious, then don't lead him on because Pleng should know how that feels. So to then continue encouraging Duean's flirting, kiss him, have sex with him, and then ghost him afterwards, it's a really dick move. He should've made it abundantly clear from the beginning that he's not interested in a relationship. He did say that he's probably too busy for one, but that's it. Afterwards, the flirting just kept going and Pleng encouraged it.
Where Duean messed up was not being able to let it go. He let his anger get the better of him. When they finally got a chance to talk, he yells and blames Pleng instead of just talking and trying to understand him. In the middle of the episode, Duean was saying he understands Pleng's reluctance due to his past awful experience, so where'd the shouting come from? Or better yet, the moment Pleng started ghosting him, Duean should've just moved on instead of remaining so persistent, but I guess we wouldn't have a show then.
*after watching episodes 1-3* Y'know, I kinda dig this show. It's refreshing that we have a main character that unashamedly has a crush, pursues said crush, and is completely honest with their feelings. I'm so used to BLs where the main lead is the one being pursued by the "top", and the ML usually plays hard to get or has some kind of insecurity that's preventing them from going for it. It's nice to have a ML that knows what they want. It's doubly nice that the "top" is so into it. Just two guys that like each other and aren't shying away from how much they like each other. This is what I like to see. I grow so tired of shows that have drama because one or both of the MLs were being stupid or not communicating. Makes it difficult to respect or like them when they're being so dumb. But not here. I really like PlengDuean so far.
"Earth is such a terrible actor he's like a black hole of acting, that sucks all the life and light out of everything.…
A little harsh if you ask me. I've definitely seen worse actors. Or sometimes it's not even the actors really, but the character, the writing, and the direction that's awful. Like, against my better judgement, I'm currently watching Check Out and that show makes every actor look bad.
Getting really tired of this whole "I'm breaking up with you for your own good" bullshit. Too many series have been ruined because they had to throw that shit in at the last minute. And you know they're just gonna apologize and get back together in the end, so what's the point?
Why's the show suddenly acting like Tee and Daonuea weren't actually in a relationship? This was established episodes ago. Daonuea made it Facebook official and everything.
Also, I'm loving how the score of this show keeps getting lower each week. 😂
Yo, why is this show's opening song so freaking long? Don't get me wrong, I like the song, it's quite catchy, but it's 3:25 minutes long. It's like for this show, instead of making a shortened "TV" version that would actually play in the opening and a full version you can listen to on Youtube or something, they just said "Fuck it, we'll use the full version every time."
One positive thing I can say about this show is that I can eat while watching it. Usually with subbed shows, I have to really pay attention to read the dialogue because I'm admittedly a slow reader. I can't take a moment to take a bite of my food because I'm afraid I might miss something and then have to go back and pause.
But with this show, it doesn't matter. I can eat and miss some dialogue and feel like I missed nothing, because like 8 times out of 10 whatever they say is useless fluff that doesn't add to the plot or characters in any meaningful way. It's great!! 😄
People in real life have survived in worse situations. As long as some vital organs aren't raptured, its a long…
I dunno. It looked like he got shot 4 times in the stomach (and once in the shoulder). I could probably buy surviving one shot to the stomach, but 4? And even if no vital organs were hit, I figured he'd at least bleed out like Chan did at the beginning of the fighting or Big in episode 10. Granted, I'm not a medical professional.
Sorry, when Vegas got shot, I couldn't help but think...
Main Family Guard #78: Don't worry, Pete! I'll save you! *shoots Vegas* Gottem! Pete: AAAAAAAHHH!!!! *shoots #78* Main Family Guard #78: ARGH!! Dude, what the fuck!!? *dies*
Also, how the hell did Vegas survive? He got shot 5 times. What is this boy made of!?
i think we can all agree that this show has amazing cinematography and amazing acting considering it's a thai…
I don't think the situation with the family was resolved at all actually. There's still may lingering questions and I think that was done on purpose for a possible 2nd season. But even though many things aren't outright told to us, there are pieces that hint towards the truth. For one, I don't believe a thing Korn says. I think he's lying about many things for the sake of control. He did say "History is written by the victors" meaning that Korn could be lying about everything, but it doesn't matter because he won and can say whatever he wants. Gun was the only one who knew the whole truth, and that's why Korn shot him. If Gun was lying, I don't think Korn would feel the need to go that far. I think Korn wanted to kill Gun and gain full control of the minor family for a long time, but didn't want to look like the bad guy. So he faked his death and baited the minor family into a war so they'd look like the violent ones. And if everything Korn says is a lie, then it's very possible everything said about the mother is a lie too. She might not even have amnesia. She could be pretending. Maybe being threatened by Korn. Who knows for sure, but I'm intrigued. Kinn, Porsche, and everyone are partying and everything's happy like "all's well that ends well", but I think they're all being played like a fiddle. So the ending to me feels more bittersweet.
After thinking of VP for the last few hours I am here to share my thoughts concerning some things about the finale.Let's…
Daaaaamn! Now that is interesting. Yeah, after the final episode, my brain felt fried. I was so confused wondering what's the truth and thinking that there were so many plotholes. But if your analysis on Korn is true, then maybe that's the point. The confusion comes from Korn being a manipulative liar, playing everyone like a fiddle, even the viewer.
I think the Thai BL industry suffers from 'Mass production' in that they saw it was something that was popular…
I mean, I could just as well search why Japanese tv is so bad. I remember reading a thread and listening to a podcast where they ranted about how bad the acting in Japanese dramas are (as well as how bad Japanese tv in general is). How they seem so over the top and exaggerate everything, as if they're anime characters, but they're live-action so it comes across as cringey. Then they talked about how Korean dramas are far superior. I didn't necessarily agree, but it just shows that in the end it's a matter of opinion. I think Japan has a unique style just as I think Thailand does. I do agree that recently, Japan and Korea seem to more consistently deliver good shows than Thailand. But I've also seen some stinkers from Japan and Korea where in that same month I thought a Thai show was much better. For me, it's a roll of the die whether a Thai show is good or not, whereas Japan and Korea seem more reliable. But when a Thai show is good, it's GOOD. I know you personally didn't like ITSAY, but I have to disagree. For the longest time, it was my top BL ever. I thought the acting, emotions, cinematography, and directing were better than anything else I had seen, not just from Thailand, but in general. But hey, that's opinions for you.
Porsche: Vegas, you've done so many disgusting things that have affected me, my brother, my relationship, and now my best friend Pete. I don't trust you, you slime!
Also Porsche: Vegas, let's work together to uncover the connection my parents have to Korn. In exchange, you can talk to Pete, the guy that JUST escaped your imprisonment.
I had the biggest smile on my face when Pete made it back to the main family and everyone gave him a group hug. Seeing the gang back together just made me real happy.
