If you are mentally out of a relationship it’s better to have that discussion with your partner and break up instead of not saying anything and then basically dating someone else because best believe what she was doing with the ML was dating. By the way I enjoyed the drama cheating and whatnot until I got to ep15, my low rating is because of the breakup or taking a break that happened in ep15, it pissed me the hell off because it wasn’t necessary, it was just done to fulfill the breakup ep quota that Asian drama writers are hell bent on adding in almost all dramas. I have reached my tolerance level on accepting breakup that is not necessary in advancing the plot.

I was going to give this drama a higher rating but ep15 changed my mind. This almost end of the drama break up trope that Asian dramas can’t seem to help themselves but include in almost every damn drama whether it makes sense or not, and especially for the most insane unrealistic reasons is beyond perplexing because it not only destroys the validity of the relationship, it just cheapens the whole drama IMO. They have talked about everything under the sun in this drama, they have gone through so much and also know almost everything about each other due to the plot but we are supposed to believe/accept that they will break up or take a break because of that little misunderstanding, puhhhlease, such cheap copout reason to add a breakup to the plot has made me reduce the ratings for this drama. So good job script writer/director what a fabulous job you all have done. Also the amount of meetups between Shi Hoon and Ki Seok for their villain attitude/behavior bonding sessions was way too much for my tolerance. About the cheating debate. Did they cheat? 💯. Am I going to defend it? no. I feel they made the FL look way to bad because not only did she cheat on him she also gaslight him with the you want to marry me when your father doesn’t approve of me story when she has long fallen out of love with him and falling completely for someone else. I guess the deranged psycho behavior by Ki Seok was to justify the cheating because I have yet to come across anyone much less a guy that will take back someone who not only cheated on them but is also in love with someone else. I know they tried to play the whole I’m doing it to bring you down but there was no deep relationship between him and the ML initially to warrant such aggressive behavior of wanting to bring him down. The way I laughed when I read the FL, ML & SML should have used their super powers to find and save the plot first. Nothing can compare to L&P- that is at a different level. Infact I went back to it after I watched this one
lol. I have watched L&P 3 times. I have a lot of things on my watchlist don't make me pause them now and go rewatch L&P. Lol. The standard of that drama is immaculate.
The chemistry in this drama was chemistry-ing lemme tell you. The intensity of the chemistry was the most I have ever watched in any Asian drama even Lighter & Princess ( but Lighter & Princess was still a better and superior drama all around IMO) but I feel this series was let down by the weak make out sessions especially after it still continued after years of dating, I’m not expecting them to shove their mouths down their throats like western shows but the kisses were to tame and so very unrealistic for not only the level of chemistry, passion and love that was portrayed but also the length of time they have been dating. I really liked the no toxic character in this drama, it was really a breath of fresh air, as it’s a departure from one of CDramas favorite tropes. Someone in the comment section on VIKI where I watched said that all the characters in the drama were there to propel the leads romance forward and that was such an accurate statement. I liked the camaraderie and sportsmanship that was displayed. I liked all the characters. The eye candy is this drama was overflowing. Special shoutout to our MVP brothers/cousins. Although i won’t be rewatching this, it was a really good drama and i recommend. Rewatch Value 3/10 Overall Value 8/10

Seriously. Like I watched up to ep17 but it was really very hard to try and figure out what was actually said because the subs were definitely not matching what the conversation sounded like. So I really I’m glad to have found the retro fiction channel thanks to naive_gender

As the Eng subs on KissKH, Dramacool and billilli all seem to be machined generated. I’m at ep17 and it’s been a real struggle because the subs are kinda bad most of it is not making much sense. That fight scene (if that’s even what you call that) between Joo Won and the big guy in ep19 was trending on ridiculous. Really they were like I will just stand there and you punch me, then the other one will just also stand there and await the return punch. Really what was that scene?. I was mind blown because that scene was so surreal and not in a good way, It left me completely bewildered in an otherwise stellar production effort so far. Anyways I did enjoy the drama overall. I actually preferred the adults story more than the kids because the kids really didn’t even have a story IMO and their abilities were significantly less than their parents or they were not properly trained, the north attacked because they felt the south were training new generations of talent, they really shouldn’t have bothered because that school was basically useless in training them, anyways as much as I enjoyed the drama at the beginning and midway point, I was ready for it to be over by the last few episodes. I highly doubt I will be rewatching this but I still recommend if you like this genre because although there were some eye roll moments the drama was overall, really well done. Wow. Such a good series with matured cast and matured acting. The cast did such a good job portraying their characters. Oh and that chemistry was definitely chemistrying…. I can’t honestly say which was better, their conversations/banters or the way they look at each other, both were simply magic. I honestly wish CDramas will transition away from the baby/childlike talking FLs and ridiculous cliched/tropey filled plots and give us more matured like dramas like this. I doubt that will happen as it seems the mature plots is not popular with their targeted audiences, which is such a shame as the minority are constantly subjected to a regurgitated load of mess. I want to start by commending the casting director because they did such a fantastic job. Aside from the script/plot (although I agree it went a little bit sideways in the last 7-10eps) which was stellar, the success of this drama IMO stems from the fact that the casting director and director of this drama didn’t cast any popular “idol” and casted people that can actually act. What a refreshing breath of fresh air to watch a drama where nobody is conscious of their angles and trying to look good instead of actually acting naturally. I totally understand that dramas want to make money and they have to cast this idols but most of them can’t act worth a dime, even to save their lives, but since they are popular and bring in lots of traffic and have fans that will defend their acting until their last breath and swear to the heavens that we haven’t seen acting like that in history and if you dare state otherwise, you are thereafter branded a hater/anti (unfortunately a lot of reviewers fear the attack from the aforementioned mobs so they keep quiet instead of rocking the boat and give their honest reviews if the drama sucked or the acting sucked), this directors are unfortunately forced to work with this very good looking but extremely average actors. Also not just acting, the combination of average and recycled scripts are also part of the problem. I honestly commend all the actors for a job well done, I can’t emphasize enough what an awesome and stellar job you all did, it was incredible to watch, I want to specially shoutout to the most outstanding character to me and that is Prince Li aka Princess Yang Ying, the Justice this young actress did to her role will go down in CDramaLand history IMO, she was spectacular, she was believable at every point of her journey, I was left in awe everytime she graced the scene, I can’t wait to watch more from her in the future, honorable mention to Yu ShiShan, Alen Fang what a fabulous job you did with that character (and that shimmy was definitely on point). This drama has reinforced my stance on not trudging through average dramas with bad script and acting even if I like the actors. I wish the last few episodes weren’t so rushed and was fleshed out as the beginning of the drama, it felt like they just threw everything at us all at once but all that being said, IMO this drama is still definitely heads and shoulders above the dramas of its kind this year.
