This is a good review! I have many similar sentiments. I like the main leads' chemistry more as siblings than lovers, and I feel that the transition to romantic interest on Luo Yi Ning's part lacks good development. As for SML, just like you, I feel bad for what happened to him in the end. Yes he is a gray character, not really noble, did some bad and corrupt things, but I think his love for LYN is true, although it's bordering on obsession (I wish he had just moved on). I think Ci Sha did a good job here. Of course, I like Zhang Wan Yi as Luo Shen Yuan, and his voice is really unique 😊. And I agree, Ren Min does look good in this drama.
Hi! I also would like to see more on their backstories, especially between Lu Wen and Cui Xing Zhou, when they were fighting and trying to outsmart each other 🙂.

I like the scene in her room with his surprises for her (scattered flowers and the swing), and that their misunderstanding was cleared and it did not drag on. It was really sweet. Mu Yao and Liu Fu Yi also have their moments. I feel like the 2 couples' relationships moved a notch higher here. And it's good to see that the 5 of them are joining forces to fight their common enemy.
Just finished episode 15, and it's such a hilarious episode 😂. Ding Yu Xi's portrayal of Mu Sheng is spot on - his eyes, his smile, his facial expressions and actions. I like how he conveys his growing feelings for Miao Miao through the way he looks at her👍. The main characters are doing great, especially Ding Yu Xi, Esther Yu and Bambi Zhu, and Cui Cui is adorable.

I find the first half (or up to 20+ eps) really good. Some subplots in the latter part gets a little repetitive or not as good as the first part, but I like the premise of the story and I Iike her character. So I still like it as a whole 🙂.
I'm on episode 4 right now. Esther Yu has a knack for comedy. She's so funny 😂! I'm also glad that Bambi Zhu is one of the main characters in this drama 😊.
So I finished this drama yesterday. The second half did not disappoint. The pacing and plot are good overall. I enjoyed this one from the start until the end, despite my comment on the face-swap/body swap (previously mentioned). Kudos to Liu Xue Yi, Ju Jing Yi, Zheng He Hui Zi, Li Ge Yang, Wu Jia Yi and the rest of the cast and crew!
I'm halfway into this drama, and I like it so far. Though I find it amusing that the face-swap or body-swap doesn't seem to be a big deal for the others in the story. Sure they wondered what happened and were surprised, but they seemed to accept it easily. But aside from that (and some minor observations), I'm enjoying the mystery intertwined with the developing romance between the main characters 😊. I'll see how it goes in the 2nd half.
