Finally, LYN was willing to share more to LSY about her relationship with LJX, since LSY already had an idea in episode 23. Although they just showed a "summary" scene of her narrating it, the last scene in episode 24 when he bowed his head and clenched his fists seemed to say that he was very upset about it.
I got a bit emotional when LSY and his friends were paying tribute to Chen Dao Yan. His actions made them even more determined to reach their goals.
I also like that these 2 episodes continue to have flashbacks of LYN and LJX that connect to their present interactions, as these make their past even clearer, like putting together the puzzle pieces of what happened. This gives us veiwers more context as to why LJX can't seem to give up on LYN.

I'm done with episode 22. Story's progress is still good! So glad that LSY is on his way to reaching his goals - placing first in the prefectural exams, getting a breakthrough in his master's case, etc. It was smart of him to involve Qing Guo Gong in the case.
I like the part where LYN, LSY and Lin Mao tried to persuade Madame Lin to help them. Their interactions were humorous and endearing.
Just finished episode 19! The story continues to be exciting. Some thoughts below.
The confrontation between LYN and LJX in episode 19 was intense. LYN was quick-witted in response to his persistent questioning, while sublty conveying her emotions as she recounted what happened, without admitting that she's Mei Mei. It's good that this episode showed more of their backstory in flashbacks.
I like Ren Min's acting in the scene above and also when LYN got drunk. Actually, I like her portrayal of LYN as a whole.
Why am I rooting for the 2nd lead who is probably also the villain??? Is it just me or someone else feels this…
He is actually one of the more intriguing/complex characters for me. Aside from the ML and FL, I'm interested to see his story. So maybe that is rooting for him in a way.
Finished episode 17 last night, and I like it! It's one of the best episodes so far. Some comments below.
Love episode 17! It's a vindication and glorious moment for Luo Shen Yuan - entering the ancestral hall and being officially registered in the Luo family registry. The bird has started to soar and surprise everyone (referencing a quote from episode 4). I appreciate how Luo Yi Ning helped push for this to happen, and how she encouraged and supported him in this journey. Even Madame Lin (Lin Da Niang Zi) and Grandma Luo put in their efforts!
Also, that scene in the store for rent is quite funny 😂.
I think Ci Sha is doing a really good job as Lu Jiaxue because every time he approaches Yining creepily and forcefully…
It's my first time to watch him, and yes, he's doing a good job as LJX. He's got that dangerous, "don't mess with me" vibe. I finished episode 15 last night, and while I'm rooting for the ML and FL, I'm also interested to know more about his and LYN's backstory, as well as his own (if any).
I've watched up to episode 12. The pacing is good, the story is interesting, and there are diverse characters, some of whom are quite intriguing. A saying in episode 4 is one of my favorites (a similar one is quoted in "Oh My General"): "Some birds (a kind of birds) don't spread their wings for 3 years, but once they do, they soar high in the sky. Although they are silent, but once they make a sound, they surprise everyone." (有一种鸟，它三年不展翅，但飞必冲天。虽无鸣，但鸣必惊人。) Very apt for Luo Shen Yuan!
I finished Fateful Love a few days ago. I enjoyed it, although I find episodes 1 to 26 more exciting and interesting than the latter part. Episode 31 is also a good episode with many sweet moments between the ML and FL. The ending is Ok. Overall, it's a good drama for me, despite some parts that could have been done better.
