I think it's pretty obvious some people are coming here with a vendetta to shit on this show bcs the cast has…
"Deliberately downvoting (you guys have done that to f4 too, even on imdb, we know.) and dragging him here isn't the big genius move you think it is. It makes you look petty."
I really don't get it either. I donβt know what some of these individuals expect, with these sort of reactions.
This is really nice series, that isn't some over the top lakorn based on impossibly rich characters, dealing with outrageous situations in their lives.
Mai, Off, and Bright, along with the rest of the cast have brought these characters to life.
I think you should take the spoiler tag off because more people need to read this. I don't understand the amount…
"For example, Green from 2gether, he was fem gay and was a side character so everyone laughed it off as silly but he was literally following Tine even to the toilet (like Kong did with Toh). But that was acceptable for most cuz Green was not the lead."
Exactly. Green, in "2Gether" was supposed to be the brunt of the joke. The one that the audience laughed AT, not with in his interactions with Tine, Sarawat, and the other characters. Hell, even his potential love interest Dim, initially saw him as a joke.
Neau never saw or treated Toh, like he was supposed to be a joke, and I think that having Toh being seen as a character of value, just messed with certain viewers opinions.

"In fact in most other BL and romance shows/novels we see a lot of obsessive behavior, stalking, controlling and agressive actions and people are just swooning over them because it's all portrayed and understood as romantic as even natural coming from the standard male lead."
Bingo. "The standard male lead" is key, in my opinion. If Toh had been portrayed as slightly less effeminate, not a character that had extreme issues with his self-image, self-esteem, and how others viewed him, the whole entire message of the series would have been lost. That anyone, even someone that doesn't value themselves, is actually worthy of desire, affection, and love. Even from the big man on campus. BLs are centered around fantasy, but this type of character, is the one that makes certain viewers go, "What?! I just cannot see it?!" π π§
Sad truth :( MDL used to be a peaceful place with reasonable ratings but ppl r becoming not humble enough or something…
"coz how does chemistry , acting etc matter if the characters are unlikeable"
It matters, when all that you want to see is scenes of two male actors simulating sex, kissing one another, and AMPLE amounts of tongues being swapped. It seemed that the "tongues" were more praised than the storylines.
Okay, this says to me you never read the book. They actually followed the book pretty well. They even kept most…
"If the audience has to read the source material in order to appreciate a series, that says a lot about the writing and production quality of the series. "
I love that the same topic continues to try to be used, to justify the incompleteness of the plot for the TV adaption. It continues to make me laugh. The TV adaption, should stand on its own. Especially for viewers, who will never, ever attempt to seek out the source material.
You can see the love developing between Geum Seong, and Hye Seong/Salbyul.

I'm enjoying it, because of the characters, and the current/potential pairings that we will see in this series.
Mek, Kim, and their constant bickering, when they're not starring into each others eyes, have me in stitches.
Bomb, and his crush on the clueless Bear is adorable.
The sweetness of the long-term secretly in love duo Park, and Lee.
I'm intrigued by the friends to lovers potential of Tim, and his manager. What is that character's name by the way?!
