That is rather strange. Most fans of the comic have watched it back in May of last year. But, like they say, it is better late than never. You will indeed get closure, but do bear in mind, this is an adaptation. They changed some of the stuff, to make it more drama-friendly. But the core characters of Li Changge and Ashile Sun remain the same. Most air time is given to Li Changge, followed by Ashile Sun, and then the time they are together.

Someone has just posted the airing schedule of Mirror Twin Cities on its MDL page. More or less confirmed it will air on 16 Jan, which is tomorrow.

For VIP members, they will watch the episodes on Sunday to Wed. But for Non-VIP members, they will still need to watch some of the episodes from Thursday to Sat. Last Episode for VIP members is 16 Feb. For non-VIP members, it will be 26 Feb.

Hence, if TBW is aired on 30 Jan., non VIP viewers of MTC will still be forced to choose between the two dramas.

If Youku and Tencent are trying to avoid direct clash altogether, we may well be looking at a airing date in March. It will avoid the Winter Games altogether, but it might clash with some other dramas. Not sure which one. It will miss the Chinese New Year crowd, which is a pity.

This is just my conjecture. If we do not hear anything official over the next few days, it may just mean that they have decided to air TBW in March, leading to longer wait for us. We will just watch other dramas, while waiting for TBW.

Just ignore them. Go watch something else, while we wait.

Same here. We will watch TBW regardless of what Allen wears or does not wear. Anyway, all the action scenes will happen quite fast. If we focus on the story and not on what he wears, we will not notice it.

Yes, the MTC people are really fortunate. But, we need not worry. Sooner or later, we will get an announcement from Youku, concering the TBW.

Yes, in an interview, he mentioned that Dilraba, being more senior and having worked with the director in Eternal Love of Dream and hence able to understand his way of speaking Mandarin better, would often pull him aside and explain certain things to him, if he did not understand.

For Eternal Love of Dream, if you find the earlier episodes boring, you can skip. I watched that years ago, so cannot remember correctly, but the 1st 20 episodes or so, it is what is called the mortal arc. You can skip that and still enjoy the rest of the episodes, because the mortal arc is not really connected to the rest of the story.

I am currently watching a ice skating drama, to prepare myself mentally for the Winter Olympics. But Dilraba's next drama, The Blue Whisper could be out soon. So, I will be waiting for that as well. I think I will get to DaoMuBiJi after that.

Eternal love of Dream, The Long Ballad, The Blue Whisper, all three are directed by the same person, Director Chu.

I am watching To Fly with you now. I will watch Cupid's Kitchen after that. And then maybe Reset. Reset is a modern drama, so I can easily watch that with TBW and not get confused.

To Fly with you will remind us of our kids. Cupid's kitchen will make our mouth salivate, because a lot of it is about food. I am rationing myself. Just about 1 episode of To fly to you a day, so that I can finish that just in time when TBW arrives. I only watched 1st Episode of Cupid's Kitchen, and, like you, will keep that for later viewing.

Oh yes! If your daughter had come to study in Singapore, she herself would likely be eating hawker food practically everyday. It is so cheap, she will hardly need to cook. And you yourself would have been able to taste hawkers' food, when you visit her. Quality of food differ from stall to stall at each centre, but there so many stalls to choose from, so it is rather easy to find a few that are really good.

Don't worry about this. Viewers who saw the first trailer noted some of the stuff mentioned in that article. The CGI people can easily use computer graphics to smoothen that and we will not be able to notice the difference anymore.

Perhaps this task is challenging and delayed the post production process, but the CGI team is pretty good, so we need not worry.

Just a rumour. We can ignore it for the moment and wait for something official. Airing date is totally beyond our control. Even if airing in mid-Feb does not make a lot of sense, if Youku decides on that, there is nothing we can do, but to wait for another month.

Many of us are not going to sit around and do nothing while waiting. MTC will be aired tomorrow, and there are other nice dramas around for us to watch. Killing time for one month will not be difficult.

We take whatever is offered, but TBW will still our top priority. We have waited for months, since the ending of YAMG. If we need to wait for one more month, it is not going to kill us.

I see!! So, that is where the connection lies. I am more into historical Cdramas than the adventure genre. For the adventure genre, I usually watch western movies. Like, maybe the Indiana Jones series.

The connection between Dilraba and Kudousi Jiang Ainiwaer is simpler. They are both Uyghurs, so screen chemistry between the two is a given. He was quoted as saying that during filming of TLB, if there was anything he did not understand concerning what the director told him, Dilraba will explain to him in their language.

I see. I am not sure about the actor who played She'er, but Wu Lei was actually a last minute replacement for the original Male Lead. So, having two actors from Tomb of the Sea must surely be a coincidence, than something planned by the director or producer.

2. Cupid's kitchen - this is a brand new one; just started airing yesterday. Song actually studied in the west, I cannot remember if it was the UK or US. So, she can speak English. In Cupid's Kitchen, you can hear her speak English a few times.

No need to watch too many episodes, if you just want to check her out. One episode of each drama will likely be enough to give you a feel of her acting style.

I cannot believe that you actually took the trouble to find a YT clip on hawker centre in Singapore!! This clip does give you a very good picture what a typical hawker centre is like in Singapore. Great variety of food: Chinese; Indian; Malay (the three main races in Singapore). And it is rather common to find Chinese eating Indian food, Indians taking Chinese food; or Chinese taking Malay food, etc. Singaporeans love to eat, so it is very common to consume food cooked by others who are from a different race or ethnicity.

Yes, I would say the MDL page does help to bring lots of people from around the world together; pretty amazing for me, that so many non-Chinese would actually appreciate historical Chinese dramas. Modern Chinese dramas are relatively culture free; but historical Chinese dramas do have lots of culture specific stuff, and for non-Chinese, only those who are open to Chinese or curious about Chinese culture would appreciate it.

What do you mean?? There is another rumour saying TBW will air in mid-Feb?? Does not make too much sense. Because the Winter Games is 4-20 Feb. If they want to air in mid-Feb, why not just wait till the Games are over and air in late Feb or in March??

I think no point speculating right now. Let's just see if they will make an official announcement over the next few days. If there is no announcement at all, we could well be looking at a much later airing date than 30 Jan, which will be a pity. Airing on 30 Jan would be great, to catch the Chinese New Year crowd.

She looked really short in TLB because she was always standing next to Liu Yuning, who is reall tall!

Bolero by Ravel is a rather interesting piece. It does not have too much of a variation in terms of musical notes. Just the same few notes played over again and again. But, it has this constant rhythm. Maybe Torville and Dean wanted the constant rhythm, so that they can concentrate on their skating rather than being distracted by a piece with greater variation. Anyway, their skating was perfect. When they finished their performance, there was little doubt that they would win.

1984, I was in Japan to attend a 6-months work related training in Tokyo, Japan. And watching the Winter Games 1984 was one of the things I remembered most about my trip there.

The Bad Kids? Not sure about that drama being nominated for the Korean Drama awards 2021. Was not even aware of the existence of that drama, till you mentioned it. Honestly? I hardly watch modern Cdrama, till YAMG. And it is all because Reba. But now, I am slowly beginning to take to modern Cdrama as well.

And I just read this news about Song Zuer, the FL of To fly with you. It seems that Tencent is promoting her as the next Dilraba. She will have a drama called Three Points Wild; ML is Lin Yi. The story is somewhat similar to YAMG. Tencent is trying to turn them into the next Yang Yang and Dilraba.

The more I observe Song Zuer's acting style, the more I see Dilraba in her. Just a younger and slightly smaller version of Reba. In China, they are forever grooming the next generation of actresses and actors, and I will not be surprised, she is going to turn into the next Reba (once Reba goes into semi-retirement).

But Song is still young and her acting skills is currently not quite the same level as Reba. So, I doubt Three Points Wild will be as successful as YAMG. But, I can tell, Song is getting there. If you check on MDL, even though she is still a student at the Beijing Theatre Academy, she has already gotten so many lead roles. She was at the BTA in 2018, so could well have graduated.

Another new one that just came out yesterday is Cupid's Kitchen. Very high MDL rating, as of now.
