Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it…
There is a visual of her in ELOD I cannot forget. I think she was wearing white, with braided hair, and she was carrying a box or something, and she was smiling (I cannot remember at whom, was it Dijun?). She looked really happy and joyful in that scene.

I think the CGI for Allen's tail is going to be critical. Millions of viewers in China have already watched the first trailer and many were not impressed. They need to fix that tail and his alleged bodysuit. They have a good CGI team working on it, and they have had so much time to do so. If they do release a new trailer, we will know if those issues are solved. And they should be doing so soon, if they are going to air it end Jan.

Ok. I did read somewhere. The budget for ELOD was not very high. So, they have had to cut back on making expensive costumes for many of the cast members. Yet, whatever they chose for Reba, even if cheaper than in TMOPB, she did look good. Her hairstyling in some of the scenes in ELOD was also very refreshing. Maybe those hairstyling, plus better facial make up for her compensated for the cheaper costumes.
Just received a tweet, showing Reba leaving the airport at Shanghai. Not 100% sure, but she could have gone home…
If she has several offers or options, this could also be a good time for her to think carefully before making a final decision. With modern technology, there is no problem for her to keep in touch with her team, wherever she may be.
Why do all Chinese actors are very thin especially the heroines. They all look so slim. Is it natural or the requirements…
Female actresses often act as product endorsers or ambassadors for lots of stuff like cosmetics, washing machines, etc. Or they may model for some fashion lines. Somehow, Chinese viewers like all these models to look nice and slim. I guess most female models in the west are also rather slim?
For some, it could well be natural. If they have high metabolism rate, no problem burning off all the excess calories that they do not need. Others may need to do lots of workout to keep in shape. If I am not wrong, they need to weigh themselves daily, just to keep to the desired weigh and shape.
But Dilraba deliberately put on weight for her role as Li Changge in The Long Ballad, because they felt that that will make her face look chubbier and hence younger.
Just received a tweet, showing Reba leaving the airport at Shanghai. Not 100% sure, but she could have gone home to celebrate Chinese New Year with her folks in Xinjiang and take a much needed rest. She appeared in lots of commercial shoots in recent days. Perhaps after the CNY, we will hear something from her?
Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it…
I must have read the same article, about him commenting just how beautiful she is. And he will not be the last male actor to do so. It must have taken Dylan lots of time to get over her looks, to remember saying his lines, rather than keep looking at her. He must said, "Where was I?" many times, while filming those scenes with her.
I think Reba has unique facial features due to her ethnicity. In her earlier historical dramas, they did not know how to deal with that, and kept giving her the wrong hairstyling that made her look even more un-Han Chinese. But, starting from TMOPB, they started to get the hang of it. In ELOD, they likely perfected it because she did look great in that drama.
In Legend of Anle, she is going to look great as well. Especially in that red costume with white trimmings. Here in TBW, I think she is going to look great with those furry tails. Those tails should be able to do some damage to her opponents and make her look menacing.
Wow! Congrats to both Reba and Yu Ning!! Hope there will be more to come!
Well, there will be many other drama awards and acting competitions in China this year. I am not sure how these competitions are judged, but there must be one or two that are decided by judges rather than by fan voting. So, perhaps he might win one or two like these? Because his performance in TLB surely deserve some kind of recognition.
The latest awards is the Weibo awards, am I right? I am also rather surprised by the win by Allen Ren, when he beat Yang Yang, for male actor in modern romance drama. If it is totally fans driven, Yang Yang should have won it (for his role in You Are My Glory). I think he has about 50m followers in Weibo. Surely, Allen Ren does not have more followers than that?? Maybe I am wrong, and he does.
We just don't know for sure, at this moment. We can enjoy TBW first. I think after the Chinese New Year, either she or her team will make the announcement and we will know her next project. Doing Feng Lai Qi will be something totally within her comfort zone. Doing Ball Lightning will mean she wants to venture into a new genre.
Lots of the more senior actresses like Yang Mi and Zhao Liying are trying out new stuff. Even Yang Zi, Reba's peer, is trying new stuff. If she feels that she is ready for a new genre, maybe she will indeed take on Ball Lightning.
I think as long the ending is sweet, people will love it. On the page of TLB, we have seen this so many times, so many people asking whether it is a happy ending. Some people can stomach sad ending, but most prefer happy ending.
Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it…
I don't think your subscription to WeTv will be wasted. For sure, you can watch Mirror Twin City. And TBW is more or less a done deal, just waiting for official confirmation that it will be streamed on WeTv as well. But, I am not sure if 3 months will be long enough to cover you all the way till the end of Part 2 of TBW. All depends on when they air Part 2, and the airing schedule. In the mean time, you can wait and see. Perhaps airing day of Part 2 will also be announced by mid-Jan.
I too have IQIYI and Viki on my phone. IQIYI do have their own dramas, which are sometimes not available on WeTv or Youku or even Viu, so it is very useful.

I have Viu on my phone, can practically watch YAMG anytime. Sometimes, even watching the first episode is enough. Watched it so many times, just 5-10 minutes into the 1st episode can bring back so many sweet memories of last summer.
Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it…
Yeah. I finished the entire series of FBI, season 4. And then moved to Hawkeye. All are American series. And then moved to Kdrama and watched Happiness. All while waiting for TBW. Even now, there is still time, so may watch something else again.

Yup. Some people got fixated on certain actor or actress, so much so all others are seen as competition and bad. That is how fan wars are started. If we can widen our appreciation of actress and actors, as long as they are good, portray their characters well, there could still be comparison, but there will be no fan war, because they all did a great job.
Besides, appreciating actor/actress is a bit like food and fruits. No matter how much we like a particular food/fruit, we cannot be taking the same thing everyday. It will be boring.
No matter how pretty and talented Dilraba is, if we love Chinese dramas, we cannot survive only on her dramas and none others. That would be a very unhealthy diet. As a matter of fact, we cannot even be watching only Chinese dramas! Just for a change of flavours, good to switch to American, Indian, Japanese, Korean, etc, now and then. Each type has its strengths and weaknesses. Watching more varieties helps us to be more tolerant of differences in the way different cultures do their storytelling.
Goodness. Did not know so many of you are already on that page!! FL is a dancer. And we know Reba can dance!! But not sure how much dancing is really needed, as the character is not focused on dancing but other stuff. Story sounds interesting, though.
.......what's with dilraba and her always finding the best male co stars T_T
Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it must be very difficult to be her male co-star. She is so pretty, her male co-stars could so busy starring at her that they sometimes forget their lines.
But, we need to admit. We are her fans, so we make such comments. Fans of other female actresses may disagree with us and that is completely ok. We gravitate to different actors and actresses for different reasons. Others should not dispise us for our views, nor should we dispise them for theirs.
Even as Reba fans, we should still be able to appreciate the performances of other female actresses. I think Allen fans are the same?? I am sure they appreciate other good male Chinese actors too.
