On The Blue Whisper: Part 1 Jan 6, 2022
The chances of Allen and Reba filming any video to promote The Blue Whisper is just about gone. He just had the booting ceremony yesterday for his new drama, "Heart" with Angelababy as the FL.

The only promotion we can expect in the coming days would be new stills, OSTs, and a new trailer. Once we see any or all of these, we can sure that the drama will be out by 30 Jan.

To get around the airing license regulations. Too many episodes, if combined into one series
Most welcomed! Just playing a small role, to help make this place a welcoming forum for all. So that more people will feel comfortable to post anything related to this drama.

I cant recall - what is it?
I think you could have come here by accident, because this is not a romcom. This is a serious romance drama, with just a sprinkling of humour here and there.

There aren't enough words to show how much I appreciated this drama. I finished it within a couple days. I really…
9/10 is a very good rating for this drama. While we all wish for more romance, the source material has even less romance between the leads. The main focus of the manhua (the source material) is on the journey and adventures of Li Changge, triggered by the tragic event in E2 mentioned in the summary above, and how her character changed, as she went through some really challenging times in the aftermath of that event. Of course, meeting Ashile Sun was also one of the key turning points in her life, but greater focus was always going to be Li Changge character change and development. Romance would come second.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
If you are missing some Ashile Sun & Li Changge (like i do and I just finished it lol) watch this MV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG6VUJE7bnM
Watched this drama back in May 2021. The MV is a nice summary of interaction between the two of them.

That is rather strange. Yes, none of the main characters was suicidal. You are talking about Netflix with regard…
I am in contact with Netflix now, via Messenger. Hope someone from the other end will respond.

Could not get hold of someone on the other end. I tried a different approach. I went to the facebook page and dropped them a message about the tag.

You are right about that. The person on the other side of the phone might not have sufficient authority to change anything, but I am going to give it shot. Like, right now, after typing this.

I think I might drop this... I'm only on ep 7 but..Why do they have to waste time on other characters and unnecessary…
In addition to the timeline of events provided by Gizzy, you might want to read this article: https://supchina.com/2021/06/30/in-the-7th-century-a-chinese-coup-of-shakespearean-proportions/

It gives you more details about the Xuanwu Gate Incident, mentioned in the summary at the top part of this page.

This drama mixes fiction with real historical events, involving real historical figures, places, etc. Understanding the Xuanwu Gate Incident will help you understand the first few episodes better.

All historical Cdramas are like that. If you understand some historical background, you will appreciate this drama more. Also, this drama is 49 Episodes long. They do need to show some of the side or supporting characters. They cannot have 49 episodes of just Changge and Ashile Sun. The lives of these two individuals intersect with the lives of the side characters and help to give this drama depth, and provide contrast with Changge and Ashile Sun.

the pace was extremely slow and they were flirty af in the last few episodes. the final 2 episodes were a salute…
Yes, the way her character was written, it is flawless. Even when she was making less than humble remarks about her looks, I am not sure how it was written in the novel, but the way Dilraba conveyed those remarks in the drama, they came across cute, rather than narcissistic. And they were always kept within her inner circle (her manager, assistant and close friends) to display her sense of self-confidence, never used to put down her competitors or show to others that she is proud of her looks.

Wow! Congrats to both Reba and Yu Ning!! Hope there will be more to come!
I think there will be some big drama awards competition in China in 2022. Hope that Reba, Wu Lei or any of the main leads or even the drama itself, director, producer, etc, can win something big.

I see. My location, no Netflix. That is why I asked. I saw a 1800 number. Maybe I will call that number and ask them about that suicide tag

A bit disappointed to note that Netflix marked the Long Ballad with a “suicide” tag and rated it 16+. I hope…
That is rather strange. Yes, none of the main characters was suicidal. You are talking about Netflix with regard to which country?

Wu Jin Yan was an absolute delight in Yanxi Palace. I watched that drama without skipping a single episode. But, her dramas after that did not fare too well. Here is hoping that Imperial Cuisine may reignite her career, and make millions of her fans in China and overeas happy.

there is another Ming Dynasty series on them, its called Empress of the Ming Dynasty played by Tang Wei, i am…
I think they will follow the names of those characters in Empress of the Ming. But, they will not be following the storyline, since the focus will be on food.

They will use the names of real historical figures, but, just like in Yanxi Palace, I think they will take liberty to intepret history and add stuff where historical record is silent, just to make the drama more intereting.
