When someone posted that they already obtained the airing license, it was already mentioned that the license was for 30 episodes for Part 1. Why would Youku want to unilaterally cut it down to 22?? It would likely destroy the entire story of part 1. Just ignore those kind of post.

Yah. That gap, we really don't know how long it will last. Hopefully she picks up the next drama quickly. Else, we will need to watch something else, while we wait.

If she is dating anyone, she sure knows how to keep a secret. Personally, I don't care too much about her private life. That is her business, whom she wishes to marry. All I hope, even after marriage, we still get to her her dramas, because she is a delightful actress.

Interesting. But, why might you not be interested in the male lead in TBW. He is a very good actor. Many of his historical dramas have done very well. And TBW is based on a very good novel.

For the scriptwriter:
The rebel princess must be her most successful hit.

She also did legend of Awakening, and some others, but these were not very successful. I think she is fairly young, so still learning the trade. Maybe, starting from Rebel Princess, she became really good?? And hence was asked to write the script for TBW.

She did really well in both her modern dramas in 2021. Maybe she does not have a strong company to back her up, hence so little lead roles. It is a pity. She is a good actress.

Yes! Zhou Shen and maybe Zhang Bichen? They are the king and queen of OSTs.

I did not read the entire novel. But, I played cheat. I know the ending. If the ending of the drama is same as the ending, we will be fine.

Lou Jin Sang is played by Hu Yi Xuan. She is a good actress. Hopefully, her supporters will come to this page to support her.

They do that sometimes, to show character change and development, and viewers love to see that.

We need the really bad ones and some in-between, so that in contrast, we will love Ji Yun He and Chang Yi even more. The more evil the Princess, the more wholesome our leads will look.

I think the OST and BGM will be great! They finished filming in June? So they have had months to select the best OSTs and best background music. Did you watch TLB? It has great OSTs and BGM.

If you go back to the page of Eternal Love of Dream, you will see that it also aired in late Jan (22 Jan 2020). I think that was the start of the pandemic in China, so people got stuck at home. With nothing to do, they watched ELOD. That drama raked in a massive 8B views! I think this time will be the same. The Omicron variant is spreading in China. Chinese New Year is just about a month away. Most people will be stuck at home. They can only play that many hours of mahjong at home during the CNY.

Next, perhaps this year, there is no blockbuster movies at the theatre. So even in places where there is no lockdown, people will not be flocking to the theatres.

Perhaps these are the variables they considered, when both Tencent and Youku placed their bets and decided to air against the mighty Winter Games.

Soon and very soon, she and Chang Yi will be in the small screen in front of us. And all the other cast members of TBW. We will get to watch it during Chinese New year. For overseas Chinese it may mean watching with family members during reunion dinner. For others, during the holidays, wherever Chinese new year is a public holiday.

I feel the same way too. These are smart and very experienced big Chinese companies. If they are willing to air something during the games, they must both feel that they have winners.

And they both air just prior to the games. My guess is, once Chinese viewers are hooked, there is no turning back.

Either that or there just isn't a script that she and her team find suitable.

Yes, everything he has directed has been a success. I think he really knows how to pace a drama well, and is a good story teller. His dramas flow very well. Even my 85 year old auntie could understand TLB without much explanation.

I do feel that TBW will be slightly different from MTC. Though both involve mermen, the plot will be different. Anyway, they involve different actors/actresses, their acting styles will be different. We can multi-watch TBW, but just need to watch MTC once.
