Lots of rumours and chats surrounding Reba's next project. I think she is really busy, bouncing from one red carpet event to the next, over the past few days. We wait for official announcement from her agency, what she is going to do, next.

Meanwhile, it is very likely that The Blue Whisper will air sometime in Jan 2022. Some of you are already there, on the page of TBW, but some not. Hope to see you there soon!!

It has just been announced that Luoyang, a high budget drama from IQIYI, will start airing on 1 Dec 2021. That will come into direct competition with Novoland Pearl Eclipse, albeit, toward the tailend of NPE.

So, not likely Yuoku will release TBW in Dec. Youku will likely monitor the performance of Luoyang. If it does well, wait for it to end. If it does not do as well, they may release it toward the tailend of Luoyang.

My bet is on a Jan 2022 airing. Exact date, we wait for official annoucement from Youku.

This does look great! There should be lots of fighting scenes in TBW, and those scenes will be primary. Romance could be secondary. They cannot show too many romantic scenes between Reba and Allen, for obvious reasons.

We could well be looking at Jan 2022, for TBW. Another big budget drama, titled 'Luoyang', the producer just announced that it will start airing on 1 Dec 2021. So, TBW will likely come in around middle of Jan 2022. Much depends on when Luoyang will end, and its performance.

The Mystic Nine, her connection would be with William Chan. She acted in a series with him Swords of Legend (2014). Reba was relatively unknown then. Sand Puzzle, her connection with Wu Lei. I think lots of people in the Tomb Raider series, she has acted with quite a few. Yes, a video connecting her with all these actors/actresses would indeed be fun to watch.

I think you wait till confirmation from Youku, regarding airing date of TBW. If subscription is yearly, it is worth it, because you will also get to watch Legend of Anle, her next drama after TBW. Youku might air TBW Season 1, anytime from mid Dec 2021 to early Jan 2022. And Season 2 would come shortly after that.

Another good one is Remembrance of Things past. This one has more than one couple, but the main focus is still on the main couple. But this one is a bit sad. Can make you cry.

You can try My Fated Boy. Main focus is on ML and FL. Not excessive drama, maybe just slightly more than YAMG. Beautiful and cute love story between an older female and younger male. Also has similarity to YAMG, in that they have known each other for years.

Yes, I think Li Changge was a very smart girl. She knew that her uncle had to kill her father, because of power struggle. She was only sad because of her mother, and was wondering why her uncle might want to kill her mother. But this was explained to her later, and she totally forgave her uncle, once she knows the truth. Yes, I agree with you that Li Changge really love her country more than wanting revenge for her family. She is really able to see the big picture, that her uncle is a really good emporer.

In the early stage of the drama, Li Changge did get alot of help from Ashile Sun. But toward the end, she became so smart that she did not really need his help anymore, and was even able to help Ashile Sun. They were both very good for each other, a perfect match.

I guess Jun Jiu Ling was more lucky. So many men around her helped her in so many ways, while very often Li Changge had to fend for herself.

And both Li Changge and Jun Jiu Ling were indeed princesses! Both were very brave and smart. Maybe Li Changge has one advantage over Jun Jiu Ling. She can fight. Maybe overall, she is smarter than Jun Jiu Ling, since she is good in military strategies and can do alot of planning.

What was or were the things that so charmed you about TLB?

I might have exchanged messages with you, but cannot recall your name. Please forgive me. This is indeed a great drama. And so many people who were here since May or earlier are still here today.

Allen's fans do not seem to be all that active. Hopefully, when TBW is aired, they will be. It is more fun, if they join us to create more excitement on that page.

Reba is a very good dancer. If she did not become an actress, she could have ended up being a dancer. Does she sing? I think at the beginning of her career, she did say that she wanted to excel in singing too. But, over time, I think she realised that her singing voice isn't very great. The only OST she sang was one of songs in The Flame's Daughter, back in 2018. Since then, she has not done any singing in any of her own dramas.

You think so?? Might be difficult. One of the factors, likely a minor one, that drove the comment up was so many people were shipping Reba and Wu Lei as a real couple when TLB was being aired. They will not do that in TBW.

Also, we might need the whole gang of old timers from this page to be there, on the page of TBW. We lost quite a few timers, some of whom were very active contributors.

We'll see. But my guess is that it will not happen on the page of TBW. If we get to 20K on that page, I will already be surprised. But, I could be wrong.

I also watched the drama Jun Jiu Ling, although I did not make any comment on that page. Jun Jiu Ling was not a bad drama at all, and the character Jun Jiu Ling was also well written.

But story and plotwise, I think The Long Ballad is slightly better than Jun Jiu Ling. Overall, I think the cast performance was better than Jun Jiu Ling. And cinematography in the fight scenes, OSTs, better than Jun Jiu Ling.

I enjoyed The Long Ballad more, but Jun Jiu Ling was not a bad drama.

And, speaking behalf of many people here, we are really glad that Li Changge exceeded your expectations and you really enjoyed this drama.

Yes, I self-deleted lots of my own comments. Must have deleted hundreds, cause I went back so many pages!! And looking back, I regret that. Should have kept those comments there. I deleted them to make this page smoother, and then realised that it did not really matter. This page was already smooth, when the admin at MDL deleted a week of our comments (apart from those self-delete). And, I do agree with you. If no comment was ever deleted, we should be close to 38k by now.

Probably. But, also, if they are standing back to back, them being about the same height will make any close up shots more pleasing to the eye.

For face to face type of scenes, directors usually like to have the FL look up to the ML with those loving eyes, to express romance and affection, hence they usually keep the height differences between FL and ML. Here in LOA, I think it willl be no different. We will see lots of scenes with Reba looking up to GJ.

For those still wondering if they have filmed both seasons 1 and 2, and how they spaced out the 2 seasons, we need to look no further than 2021 for a recent example.

This Xianxia drama called No Boundary:
Season 1 was aired from Mar 30, 2021 - Apr 27, 2021
Season 2 aired from May 10, 2021 - May 24, 2021

You can see that they clearly filmed both seasons at the same time. And also see how close apart they were aired? Season 2 aired just around 2 weeks after the ending of Season 1.

We are likely to see the same pattern for TBW.

Cristy Guo has a long acting career. If you check on her acting credits, she started acting way back in 2005. She is now 28, so that means she was just about 12 years old then, technically not in her teen, so just pre-teen, almost like a child actress. And her acting list is quite long! I think she is pretty good actress and has acted in FL role in a number of dramas.

We really need a good actress in this role, someone who will come across as the totally psychotic Princess Shunde, and having her play this role would be great. She will be able to give us all those evil facial expressions we want to see in a totally wicked villainess, so that when she is finally vanquished, we will not feel an ounce of sympathy.
