Definitely agree with you about not dissing any other drama, especially FIYS and Love Scenery. We have long agreed that they are three very differenet dramas, catering to slightly different viewers in terms of views, even if video game was used in all 3. FIYS and LS seems appealing to younger folks, while YAMG appeal to slightly older age group.

As a non-gaming person, I do not even enjoy those game scenes in YAMG, but just fast forward them. Especially scenes with little or no interaction between YY and Reba.

For me, the game was just a plot device to allow the two of them to meet. Of couse, the game portion also shows how diligent QJJ was, in trying to be good at the game, since she is an endorser of the game. But, the technical aspects of Honor of Kings per se, I was not really interested, and I suspect that is the case for many non-gaming people.

Edit: I also share the view of those who feel that the game scenes were an ad for the game. But I do not have an isue with this. Tencent spent milliions doing the CGI to customise it for this drama; they are also the producer for YAMG. So, using it to promote Honor of Kings was not something unacceptable to me. They are just trying to recover their costs of financing YAMG.

I am getting two views here. You are saying it is not a dealbreaker, but Amastris seems to suggest it is not realistic. I saw the YT video by Amastris. It does look like a person will be able to react faster, playing on a phone. I suppose the same thing can be done with special gaming keyboard, if one is to play on a PC?

Also, I don't know about much about the game used FIYS, but judging from the competition scene in YAMG, I can tell that Honor of Kings does need some amount of strategy and teamwork to defeat the opponent. I suppose that is the same case with the game in FIYS?

If this can hit 4B in about two weeks, or before The Oath of Love is aired, it should be considered a very good result for this drama.

I read all those comments as well. I do not wish to offend all the 'kiss specialists' or those really charmed by the kisses. Both Dilraba and Yang Yang have attended drama school. I think one of most basic classes they would have attended would be "Kissing 101", how to kiss right. And they would be looking at all the great kissing scenes from Hollywood. Hundreds of them!!. And not just actors and actresses. Directors too!!

So, in terms of technique, it is not all that difficult. Good actresses and actors will remember how to look at each other, where to put their hands, etc.

What is most important is chemistry between the two. They need to have complete trust in each other; that he is not taking advantage of her in anyway nor she taking advantage of him. They are just professional actors, both wanting to do a good job.

The writer really needed to make all those bantering funny and witty. The plot isn't all that complex at all. It is going to be the fine acting of YY and Reba in those kiss scenes and in delivering those lines while bantering that will keep us glued to our screen. I said 'simple' does not mean it is bad. Simple as in easy to understand. Even YT and JJ rejecting their exes was not written in any complex manner.

I guessed as much when you mentioned Mark Chao. I do not go around looking for kisses, when I view a drama. Those are like bonus. Maybe some of the 'kiss specialists' here might be able to tell us who are the other good male kisser. For female actresses, Dilraba is definitely a very good one.

Some of us mentioned to people two weeks ago, this page here suffered from a coordinated attack by 'haters'. Many said not to worry, it will recover. After dropping from 8.6 to 8.2 within an hour, it recovered only to 8.5, after two weeks. All who feel that this drama is really good must now start to rate it at least a 9 and above, just to counter all those 'haters'. The drama is coming to an end soon. A 8.5 will send the wrong message to newcomers to this page, wondering if they should watch this.

I am sure they do. But it is much easier for them now, compared to early days. A marriage like theirs make you think about marriage between YT and QJJ, though now the role is reversed, with a 'poorer' guy marrying a rich girl.
