he was REALLY into it!!!It wasn't like it in Love020 hehehe
Oh my goodness! I love the way you described it! Indeed which male actor would not be passionate kissing Dilraba?? And devouring QJJ like a fine feast. Yummy yummy.
Jingjing must be a very popular name in China. Have you heard of a Guo Jing Jing who married a real 'prince'?
Yes, their romance is almost like a page taken right out of Hollywood. And in Tokyo 2020, she was invited there as a judge for the diving events.
They overcome status differences too. Many of her husband's relatives must have thought that she is just a gold digger and their marriage will not last. But look how strong they are. 9 years and 3 babies. I think that just about kept all his relatives very very quiet.
When they first dated, they had the paparazzi all over the place taking photos of them, pretty much like what we see in YAMG.
Holy moly that's a lot of kissing scenes and they are def in the steamy category; especially that certain one.…
Yeah, I have lost count how many kisses they have done (and more could well be coming). So, if this does not send the viewership in China sky high, just don't know what will.
The underlying message of this drama seems to be true love can overcome status and socio-economic differences. When you find your true love, you will be able to enjoy a life time of love and romance that will overcome differences as severe as theirs, if not more.
I have seen some of my friends overcome severe racial differences because of true love. They found each other in the Unversity when they were only about 22 or 23. They worked for a long time overcoming initial parental objections. And now, still happily married in their 60s.
Indeed! For many of us who've watched Reba in some of her previous dramas, we knew that she is good kisser. She…
Even though they played the supporting couple in TMOPB, they were so popular and their ending there was so tragic, fans more or less demanded a follow up drama. And so we got The Pillow Book (ELOD).
Yes. I watched the entire series of Sword and the Brocade, while waiting for TLB. And I never thought it would have hit 4.79B views. Many of the plot devices there have been used in so many times in other historical dramas, even though the acting by the FL was quite good. I was totally shocked that it hit 4.79 B views in China. Which goes to show that viewers in China have rather different taste compared to us international viewers. Sometimes those tastes overlap. But often, they do not.
In Sword and the Brocade, they had a traditional marriage scene, at least one kiss scene (if I remember correctly) and even had a daughter. I think Chinese viewers like to see that kind of happy ending. Very unambiguous.

After the filming and airing of ELOD, the director mentioned that he had wanted them to do even more of those scenes. But Reba and Vengo thought that enough was enough and so the director just let it go. We might have gotten more of those steamy scenes, if the director had his way. It seems that the novel had more kissing scenes than what was in that drama.
But that drama was a great success for both Reba and Vengo. So everyone must be pretty happy.
Yes. Very much shorter than TLB. But, earlier this year, there was a drama called My Heroic Husband. Only 36 Episodes, with ML and FL that are considertable less than popular than Reba and YY. That drama ended its run with 4.35B views. Expectations were much lower than YAMG, so it surprised many people.
Here, if if YAMG can hit 4B, Tencent will be absolutely delighted. Even if 3.5B, they might still be happy. They can always blame it on the Olympics, for missing out on another 500M views.

Not sure you watched ELOD. She had passionate kiss (or kisses, I cannot recall) and a bathtub scene (which is pretty much equivalent to a bedroom scene).
All of her male leads, she pretty much had good chemistry with all of them. She cannot be too 'steamy' with the married male leads though, or their wives will not be able to handle that.
Oh, when they compute all those statistics, unfortunately they do not include international viewerships. Just purely what is found on Tencent's streaming site in China.
At the current rate, it should either just hit 3B by the time this drama end its run in China, or exceed 3B by a bit.
What is crucial will be how viewers react to the lastest episodes, because there is now no competition from the Olympics.
He should consider himself lucky that he didn't get punched after he told her she should have waited. She has been…
Yup. I felt exactly the same way. Trying to pin the timing of his rejection on her, instead of taking responsibility for giving lame excuses for the 2nd rejection.
So glad we got real kisses here! Haha no lovebird or parrot kisses to fake us out π
Indeed! For many of us who've watched Reba in some of her previous dramas, we knew that she is good kisser. She did not disappoint in YAMG. Neither did YY.
Those parrot kisses in TLB were beyond her control.

Hence, YAMG is no exception.

Edit: Should be Monday 5 pm, Beijing time??
