she is the unofficial ambassador for this page lol
Will not be leaving anytime soon. Not when every few days that I come here, I keep seeing newcomers who turn up asking questions, with no replies for several hours. They might wonder if anyone is still around.
The manhua was halted due to legal issues between the artist and her former agency. So lots of the stuff in the…
Oh, wow! In that case your view is in line with a great majority of us here. There were still a few who thought that they went their separate ways.
We thought that is not possible. So many conversations between the two, they said they will be with each the rest of their lives. But some insisted that because they were not in the same frame in the final frame, they went their separate. It is interesting how different people see things differently, despite watching the same drama.
Oh how can we feel so much the same. This is a comment as if you have extend a microphone to my thoughts (and…
But, did you take part in past discussion about this drama? I do not seem ot your recall your name here. Like you said in the above post, perhaps you took part in the early days, and left after I had joined this page, and hence did not see your name.
Oh how can we feel so much the same. This is a comment as if you have extend a microphone to my thoughts (and…
Yeah! No wonder your name look so familiar! The YAMG page is so hot now. Too many comments there. So sorry that I didn't see your reply.
I was also at the page of TLB before it was aired. But I did not bother to join in. Was just reading all the comments. Was motivated to join, when I saw that there was just so many attack against either the drama or against Dilraba.
I totally understand why so many scenes of those aersopace stuff. To make those scenes more realistic, they had consultants from China Aerospace to help him make this drama (for all the scenes inolving the rover, satellites, etc.). Very likely, the producer did not pay them very much. But, in return, they will do heavy promotion for China Aerospace. Hence, first half of the drama, heavy promotion for Honor of Kings. Next half, heavy promotion for China aerospace.
This is a Chinese drama, produced primarily for the Chinese viewers. Their main goal was never to turn Dilraba and Yang Yang into global superstars, but to give what the Chinese people want to see. Judging from the viewership figures, they got it right.
I watched "Crash Landing on You" not too longer ago. There were product promotions in that drama as well. But not to such great intensity compared to YAMG. And that drama turned Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Hin into global superstars and very likely contributed to them becoming a couple in real life. They were already in their late 30s. Not only did they find each other in the drama, they found each other in real life.
When the Koreans make their dramas, because the domestic market is not all that big, they made them for both the domestic and international markets. Besides, the Koreans can always ride on the Hallyu Wave, to conquer the world.
The Chinese market is very different. It is huge! For them, the Chinese market is the world. That is why we see those billions, in terms of viewership for popular Cdramas. They do not care if they use a drama for heavy product promotions or nationalistic propaganda. If you like YAMG, great, if not, move to the next Chinese drama, because they make about 100 a years.
So, have no worries people. Many of us do understand and can tolerate all the product promotion that is going here in YAMG. No hate for those who love gaming or those who love those rovers and satellites scenes or both of those stuff.
Loving this forum so far!! Anyone can feel free to come here and express their views. And all are genuine viewers. Not those who did not view the drama, but come here to sow discord and hate.
Even if views differ, it is mature. No big battles between viewers with different opinions. Agreeing to disagree is a sign of maturity and tolerance of diversity.
You mean product placement? One is the yogurt drink... the other I didn't really notice, I just know the satellite…
I know exactly what you are talking about. There are lots of product promotion going on in this drama. Not sure if you see the one on the car yet. Do you notice the brand of the car they are using for her? It is a Mercedes Benz.
The story goes like this.... First they are showing about the female lead, they r describing about her goal her…
I completely understand what you wrote. But many are saying, would have been more interesting if 1st few episodes, mix things up. Some of her stuff, and some of his stuff. Just continue mixing, more interesting than 4 episodes totally her stuff, 4 totally his stuff. Too many of her stuff all the time, some may not be interested. Too much of his stuff all the time, others will find boring.
The way the script is written, I suspect many people will skip scenes.
Actually, no one is offended. Please do not worry. Certainly not me. I skipped so many scenes, and saved of time.
But I am totally at peace with those who find the current sequencing of scenes as well. Them enjoying the drama as it is does not affect me. It is win-win situation. They enjoy, I saved time.
woah YAMG almost break 200 million single day views yesterday. tsk just 1 million short 🤦🏻‍♀️ 199…
Wow! Great news! I think last night in China, no big sports event involving China at the Olympic games. So, no competition for viewing. As this is the number one web drama right, millions of Chinese viewers would have tuned in to watch this. Totally happy for this drama.
With due respect do you mind if I ask you what is wrong with promoting a game or maybe your own aerospace industry. Also…
No, nothing wrong with promoting a game. I completely understand why they need to do that, to recover costs. But I am not a game person, so I just forwarded lots of those game scenes that were boring. Same like if a drama were to used to promote a washing machine, because the production of the drama was financed by a washing machine manufacturer and I am totaly not interested in how they make a washing machine, etc. I will just skip those scenes.
So, I do not see anything wrong. And I am completely aware that millions in China play this particular game. So, millions will indeed not find all those game boring at all. They may well enjoy it so much!!
But the international audience is different. Not many people overseas play video games, and even if they do, may not be this particular game, and hence may not find those game scenes interesting.
I think you might have missed reading some of the stuff I wrote. I definitely am going to continue watching this drama. I love to watch the acting of both Dilraba and Yang Yang. But I love to see more screen time of them together. Yet, I am not frustrated at all currently. Because, any scene that keeps showing all those aerospace stuff that is purely technical, without any interaction between them, I completely skip or fast forward.
Do I missed any of the character development of QJJ or YT by fast forwarding many of those scenes? Not really. The storyline is really really simple. I have watched countless of dramas. What they doing here, I am already seen in so many dramas. Even if I did not, so many written about it, and I have read what they wrote. I hardly felt like I missed anything but saved so much time by doing what I did.
I agree with some of your views but saying that it was terrible screenwriting…I don’t think so.It is just…
There really was no necessity for her to follow her novel to the T. That is basically what I am saying. Lots of dramas, when they adapt from a novel/manhua, they changed things, without losing the main plot, but kept the main storyline or the main characters the same. That is why they call it "Adpated from a novel". The way it is done, they should call this drama, "Totally copied from a novel".
Gu Man, the author of the novel/screenwriter for the drama, could easily have mixed things up. Every two episodes, some scenes show YT, and others show QJJ. Instead of 4 scenes for him, and then 4 scenes for her.
And honestly, it is not just about catering to fans. It is about making things more diverse, and hence interesting for viewers. 4 episodes totally about her, followed by 4 about him, and then 4 about her....this is boring. Well, at least for many people, maybe not for all.
A good screenwriter will know how to mix things up, without destroying the flow of the story. Lots of drama, they do mix things between the two leads. She just chose not to do it.
You've been REPEATING this statement. Hope all is well with you.
I have. But I kept seeing new people coming here, repeating the same thing, that the last 4 episodes were boring. And, who knows, some of the future episodes might be boring for certain people. Just trying to make sense of what could be happening, and why, so that they can be happy, and just move on with the drama.
I am totally good. I fast forwarded so many scenes, saved so much time, while still enjoying this drama.
Just finished and wondering if one of u can interpret the last scene with hawks for me. I wanna make sure I understand…
The manhua was halted due to legal issues between the artist and her former agency. So lots of the stuff in the drama were not found in the manhua. At the point where the manhua stopped, they never even got together as a couple, but in the drama, they did.
The way most of us who watched this drama months ago interpreted the ending scene was relatively simple: 1. They were married. wrote a post on this in the Recent Discussion section above. Look for it. 2. In many of the one-on-one converations they had, they mentioned that they will always be together. And both of them agreed, they will both go to the grasslands. Hence, you will see that they were indeed in the grasslands in the last scene.
Many viewers were not quite sure. If they were together, why are they not in the same scene? Well, relatively simple. We need to bear in mind, they are both very independent individuals, with slightly different interests. And Li Changge is a very independent lady who can well take care of herself. She speaks the language of the Eastern Turk and many of the dialects of the different tribes there. She knows martial arts. In short, she can take care of herself and do not need Ashile Sun to be her constant bodyguard.
So, the hawk scene just shows that Ashile Sun was in his battle gear, taking care of matters related to the Ashile Troops and Li Changge was just nearby doing some other stuff at the grasslands. The hawk was a means of communication between the two, that indeed should Changge needs any help, Ashile Sun could be there in no time at all.
I did a calculation, based on the flight time of the hawk, they were very close to each other. Again, check one of the post above for this.
Once each had finished his/her business, at the end of the day or several days, they will be together. Pretty much like saying, for a modern couple, what we see is a family where both the husband and wife is working. They both went to work, but at the different workplace; and work is done, they came back to the same home.
It is happy ending. They remained a couple rest of their lives, at the grasslands. But they are a unique couple Each highly independent, each fully capable of taking care of himself/herself, so the screenwriters need not show them riding on the same horse or on two horses right next to each other in the ending scene.
Oh how can we feel so much the same. This is a comment as if you have extend a microphone to my thoughts (and…
Good for you, if you plan on rewatching it. But do be careful. The experience of many of us has been, the more often we watch this drama, the more we get hooked to it. So much so, at one stage, we found it so difficult to leave this page. We came here to discuss and share so often, this page became almost as addictive as the drama itself.
I will never be able to forgive the person who did dilrabas facial makeup! It does not match her skin tone at…
Two possibilities here. One, that white foundation she has on? Could be part of an endorsment deal she signed with a cosmetics company, to promote their product. 2nd possibility, I read one article which states that Reba filmed YAMG right about TLB. She hardly had anytime to rest in between. So, in some scenes, she looked rather tired. And post production, they used white filter to make her look less tired. That is why her face looked so pale in some of the scenes.
We thought that is not possible. So many conversations between the two, they said they will be with each the rest of their lives. But some insisted that because they were not in the same frame in the final frame, they went their separate.
