Keep going. It does get better, cause episode by episode, you will see more and more of the plot. The serious vibes will be maintained or even increased, because this drama is targetted for slightly older viewers.

Not to mention the rejection by the ML. Yet her character does not bear any animosity or anger against the ML, even though the reasons he gave for rejecting her weren't all that cool.

If indeed there are, viewership will soar by the millions.

Reading all the comments here, it seems quite soon. Most viewers do not like draggy dramas, where the main couple only get together toward the end. They prefer to see them get together fast, and then deal with some real life issues (as a couple), and then the series end happily, with them fully loving each other, the relationship solid as a rock. For me at least, that will be the ideal kind of ending.

Just to test out my own analysis, I watched the opening sequence for LS. I could tell why it would appeal to a younger audience. Teenagers will really like that shooting game, and get hooked to the drama. I did not go into FIYS, cause I am not a gaming person, but it is so nice to know that you just confirmed my suspicion that it is indeed slanted toward younger folks.

Hence, that is indeed how one can differentiate the 3 dramas, even if all three involve gaming. FIYS and LS, targetted more for younger teenagers (and indeed even some adults), but YAMG firmly appeal to slightly older viewers who can relate to all those real life issues or even romance.

Viewers ought not to keep comparing the 3 dramas, which is better than which, because they really ARE different. You dropped FIYS, because you found it too childish, Amana found LS boring, yet Aung Myint found YAMG weak (thus far). Maybe Aung Myint just found the first two episodes weak (for some reasons). He may or may not like the later episodes.

There are viewers who may like all three, but given the fact that they somewhat different, there will be very few such individuals around.

I guess there is nothing much we can do. The internet is a free space, and if people want to abuse this privilege, there is really no one who can stop them. But all the popular stars like Reba and Xiao Zhan, their fan base is so big in China. They can easily fight back.

Not so here in MDL. They can easily mess with all the drama ratings of the big stars.

All the bantering, just so sweet. You could tell, they are all just enjoying the filming. And Yang Yang in real life is definitely not the YT we see in the drama (thus far at least). Way more outspoken, and laughing more often. Quite expected personality, for a actor.

Yup. They are both at Hengdian Studios right now, filming Legend of Anle. Filming should be done no later than end of the year. We should get to see it by around June/July next year. Both Dilraba and Simon Gong are burning hot right now, so the producer will want to air this as soon as possible.
