Isn't he successful? Are you kidding? He's the most successful actor of the 2000s.
He can't delete my comment, only his own. I'll mind my own business, when bullies stop getting bolder in harassing someone I know for being fans of an actress. Otherwise that's how bullies feel empowered, and then these whackos go to fan pages to harass other people.

As far i remember, Youku wanted now to shortened the number of Episodes of all upcoming soon to be filmed dramas.…
What is most important is that the totality of the episodes showcase a good script, good to excellent pacing and natural developments, a proper ending (hopefully happy), evocative and unique characterisations, with engaging yet beautiful camerawork that enables the audience to swoon and follow our cast as if we were there, until we want to be there !
From the stills and videos, one can see Ai Mi's natural beauty is allowed to shine while showing glimpses of the young woman who walked the red carpet at the Wenrong Awards less than two months ago.
Take your time. I have a friend who has finished episode 30, and another who is about to start this drama. The…
I understand where you are coming from, even though from a Buddhist perspective I was happy for Tang Lici. My only grouse was that I wished Xue Xianzi who seems to have remembered Tang Lici could at least write poetry, to commemorate him by.
If I'm not wrong, Luo Yunxi mentions that sometime in a very distant future, they all reunite again. But of course, since no hint of that appears in the ending, it would seem almost unbearably sad.
The drama ending matches the screenplay that draws from the novel at the time that the novel was not finished,…
The novel for this drama is more extreme than Mysterious Lotus Casebook. This drama tones down what is in the novel, such as Xifang Tao in the novel isn't actually just an evil woman. Tang Lici is far more grey than in the drama. I recommend you read the novel but bear in mind what Azure said, because it remained unfinished and wasn't on Teng Ping's writing radar of her preferred novels until it got adopted for the drama. The drama has some basis in the novel, but it is not an adaptation and saying it is based on the novel wouldn't be correct to me either.
For Fated Hearts, the novel wasn't great. But the character who most caught my eye in there ended up as the only character who was somewhat butchered in the drama adaptation. It was a somewhat fascinating novel for me though, given the twist to novel-Xia Jingshi that wasn't in the drama. Novel-Xia-Jingshi is good in several interesting ways. I made a discussion thread on the MDL drama page, and I received quite a few questions about the novel versus the drama.
Love In The Clouds managed to totally dumb down Ji Bozai plus Ming Yi, which is quite a shame because in the novel they are well-matched in wits and words and the plot flows much better, plus Ming Yi is quite a feminist and created her own male harem and made Ji Bozai regret his earlier decisions to cheat on her, etc so for me, the novel is much better than the drama.
Kudos to Lu Yuxiao for acting out drama-Ming Yi so sincerely and completely because the characterisation was terrible there and Ming Yi was such a horrendous example of a female I couldn't get behind. But Love In The Clouds will do well because it is a KISS drama which the screenwriters managed to go for (while somewhat warping Situ Ling in the process so he becomes quite unlikeable and unlike the novel).
It's quite an adventure. I am rewatching this drama right now. The Celestial Realm enabled a lot of emotional…
Liu Yan would sadly misunderstand because what Tang Lici did is (by chinese medicine standards) only the actions of a complete lunatic or an evil abomination, to take out Fang Zhou's heart. Western medicine and eastern medicine approaches towards anything surgical is very different. Liu Yan would also go ballistic to try to deny guilt because he remembers it was his medicinal skills which saved Tang Lici, leading to this disaster (also because he didn't understand how the Rebirth Scroll works).
I wonder at how Tang Lici became so confident across four years when back at Zhoudi Lou, he was the equivalent of an emotional toddler who managed to grow and barely passed childhood when the tragedy with Fang Zhou occurred. Luo Yunxi moves magnificently and carries himself very well on a stage, and it fits the settings. Huang Wei would be over the moon, because he is a costume designer's dream.
When the story starts in episode 1 and across ten episodes, Tang Lici's behaviour and thinking makes me see him as a teenager, ego-wise. Because of what he went through, I was happy to see him eventually warm up and open up to Shen Langhun, Chi Yun, A-Shui and others. To me, he was not yet an emotional adult, until he decided to teach Liu Yan a lesson that Liu Yan deserved, including saving Liu Yan from Gui Mudan. Tang Lici never really had friends who treated him like equals, until all these other characters appeared. He was treated like a ward at Zhoudi Lou, because his emotional development then was the slowest.
Liu Yan's treatment of him cut him to the core, plus growing up with such a royal godfather and surely exposed to the workings of the court? His wariness and suspicion of others would be maximum.
I thought Zhong Chunji's characterisation was a bit abrupt in how she fell for Tang Lici. I would have improved her storyline development with that more naturally in one of two ways, but the PTSD she suffered from what Liu Yan did to her in captivity cannot find the help she needs, hence she has to dig her way back out. Enigma05 made a post about the PTSD much earlier, but got attacked.
Her PTSD doesn't excuse her bad decisions, because people with PTSD behave in ways that can be illogical simply to protect themselves from what they view as rejection that attacks their insecurities and exposes them as what they refuse to accept. It is still wrong.
I already knew Chi Yun would likely die (just as he also died in the novel), but it was still heartbreaking. Before that, I enjoyed his camaraderie with Shen Langhun and Tang Lici. Chi Yun's theme song hits harder because of all this, and his theme song makes my eyes a bit watery.
I figured Tang Lici would sacrifice himself because he keeps trying to give the unlikeliest people a second chance, which is also why he keeps suffering injuries to himself. But he broke the cycle of rebirth, and he changed his destiny, and everyone else has a second chance to live the life they can enjoy... Proving everyone is born good and not inherently evil.
Does Yunhe have a particular problem with WoF? This coefficient is very low, and the data from others largely…
Kwanto previously shared how Yunhe gave the lowest co-efficient ever (which makes a Yunhe a joke on this subject and totally destroys their credibility) and why Yunhe shot themselves in credibility:
Ranko Zeravica also shared a good summary, which I will C-and-P a bit here:
[ I have to laugh at the idea that Yunhe is considered trustworthy. This is a company with only two employees paying social security, and a debt-to-asset ratio of 137%. Yunhe’s data is widely known to be biased toward iQiyi dramas. In fact, Yunhe is often called as ‘Taohe’, a term used in the film and television industry in the past two years to refer to the relationship between iQiyi and Yunhe. It primarily refers to allegations that iQiyi dramas' performance on Yunhe Data is systematically inflated or manipulated.
Yunhe also reportedly attempted to integrate with Migu, but was rejected due to transparency issue. Migu is a state-owned company, and Yunhe failed to meet its standards...]
oooo we still have a month to go for this year and it’s already 3.9B today , I hope it tops the charts !!
Looking forward to your post! WoF reached Top 5 of annual rankings while having the shortest broadcast period. WoF is ranked Number 1 on Maoyan for November Effective View Count Chart!
If I am not wrong, also in the top 2 on Lighthouse’s November Full-Episode View Count: 714 million full-episode views, with the second-highest spot among all dramas.
This officially cements Yunhe as a joke for metrics, including anyone who pushed it/wants to push Yunhe as reliable…
😂😂😂😂😂 LoveDemonGodTTJ is also keeping track, with WoF very close to 5 billion views! Happy to know WoF is ranked Number 1 for November Effective View Count Chart!
What is your point of coming to her fanpage to say all this? Do you want to drive away all of Ai Mi's fans or…

Mephisto refuses to answer any of my questions, including their stunning talent of a logic void in coming to this page to harass and bully people.
They definitely need to watch Jackson Yee movies. Unless they have no parents or other older role models, their behaviour is embarrassingly lacking in the concepts of a decent upbringing, since they have no sense of how they bring shame to their parents with such infantile online behaviour.
I find this drama a bit depressing. So I will watch it slowly. It's interesting, well acted, a bit difficult to…

If you run into issues of trying to figure things out, please consider this forum thread titled "Group Collective Contributions: Details, trivia, insights across 40 episodes of "Whispers of Fate" at:
RBF made a post in 2023 explaining the official poster for this drama page and its symbolism relative to Tang Lici. TaraVerde's wonderful review sharing minutiae details extending into art and aesthetics of this drama is a feast for the senses. underthestars compiled many little details of each episode that you can check out, after finishing an episode. There are other contributions too. Hope this helps :)
I wish there was a short video or more scenes of Tang Lici's history with Xue Xianzi. It would have been hilarious. Our Tang-gongzi would surely have more than apples on Xue Xianzi! I might have to go into xhs, since douyin and weibo are so short on these (there's like only 2 BTS clips).
Bai Shu should do a spin-off 16-episode xianxia parody with Ai Mi, and rope in Caesar Wu. We don't have enough of these types of dramas to poke fun and laugh with XD
This rating is just so wrong. How is this even possible for a drama like this???? I rlly hope the rating won't…
This is what tends to happen: There will be a dip in the ratings. What matters is the tailwind that corrects the curve. The international audience is divided into two segments: Non-mandarin speaking and mandarin-speaking. Given the resounding stats of success for Whispers of Fate, it will only be a matter of time before the mandarin-speaking international viewers also gather.
As to the non-mandarin speakers, I'd say it also depends on what they can access. kwanto made an important post of record-breakers for Whispers of Fate, as of today. I quote one small section:
[ SLY broke Qiyi International historical records as the most viewed drama in one day, surpassing 10M. The significance here is HUGE: SLY is not a Qiyi drama, and Qiyi was airing 2 flagship dramas. ] - I believe a significant number of these viewers are international viewers who speak mandarin.
That is why I created a forum thread of efforts from several viewers covering trivia, philosophy, art and aesthetics and more:
And the important thing is to also have fun. The "Fated Hearts" MDL drama page went in all directions but the discussions always remained mostly mature yet agreeably cute because there was a core group of us who steered the direction while the drama was airing. All viewers found things to enjoy and gush about. Trolls were ignored and ultimately rejected. The page flourishes to this day. Fated Hearts and Mobius are two pages where fans (older and newer) happily get along and talk about what we like and enjoy, because they could see the patterns of discussion created and furthered by previous viewers who genuinely appreciate the drama and characters. And address frustrations too :)
Take your time! The chinese opera elements and the structure of a zaju shape this high fantasy xuanxia epic, and…
It's a lot easier when one doesn't have to rely on subtitles, otherwise a fair number of details will fly over the heads of the viewer. The language barrier is a bigger disadvantage for international viewers in this drama compared to other xianxia or wuxia dramas, because there is a lot to take in. For gamers and/or avid anime watchers, it will be easier to follow.
I suggest reading the collection of details by underthestars for up to episode 8, then look at that thread whenever you have completed at least one or two new episodes. Episode 8 was actually a dream episode for me, because I enjoy the Buddhism details plus novel adherence details plus how I was reminded of two specific HK movies (and yes, I created an episode summary for it). By now, you might have realised that for an epic fantasy, this drama doesn't take itself too seriously at times XD
The 2023 post by RBF is very important to fundamentally understanding Tang Lici, explaining the official poster used on this MDL drama page. Taraverde's review is highly-recommended, to dive into the minutiae and imagery of the history and culture imbued in small and big details of this drama, for art and aesthetics and also touching on Taoism.
