whaaaat.... when did the rating for this drama drop from 9.1/9.2 to 8.8!?? This deserves to stay in the 9+ rank.…
This was one of the first dramas on my watchlist which was years ago and I only watched it recently which I regret... I rmr back then how I could've sworn the rating was higher... And you're right... it does deserve even higher than what's shown here. It should be one of the TOP rated dramas!
I never saw this drama NOT 8.7 ever since I watched it 3 years ago... I can't believe the rating dropped after all these years. Oh well, I will miss you, 8.7 rating... :(
He does sound very similar to ZLH. I actually thought it was his own voice but then I had to find him in interviews…
Ding Yuxi? I like his LGIEF and LiP VA. I think it suits him. Other dubbers I prob wouldn't accept (haven't seen his others yet). Another VA that I like is Dai Luwa's. If she's dubbed, there's this VA that impresses me bc it really suits her and sounds similar to her too (like MM). I also like Ao Ruipeng's VA in MM. I even liked Zhao Lusi's in TLB.
But tbh, if I'm not used to the actor / actress and/or their voice, I don't really get put off by their VA. If I know their voice, then it depends if it fits them. For instance, I don't think Chang Huasen sounds the same as his VA in Blood River, but boy did that VA voice him perfectly. But it really impresses me if one sounds like the other.
And if I am used to an actor's voice and don't like their VA, I accept it and try to get used to it lol.
I thought I could recognize Zhang Linghe's real voice but I guess not... It's the same VA as the one in Tiger and Crane. I thought I watched him enough to recognize it... I even watched SOKP recently SKDJSKSKS I feel so stupid... This VA is really good bc to me he sounds very similar to ZLH idk!
Yooo I just saw his new drama poster and I am STUNNED omg Tian Jiarui!! Now I can't wait for this omg! This looks like it's gonna be so good! Ruirui will surely slay this!! ðŸ˜
Does no one get confused for a sec about whose Xing Jia and whose Feng Chi!!! They're somehow similar to me.
Lol it was Yuzhi and Fengchi for me in the beginning but that ended quickly. And I knew Xingjia actor from WIFTY with the ML as well. Loved their friendship in that one. Also ☓ingjia is the bright one who is friends with Zhaozhao while Fengchi always sides with Lingbo.
I just realized it too, Zhu Zanjin's face was used for AI swap...just like how Li Qing's face was used to AI swap…
Ohhh dang really? So they don't even act it out? Strange if that's true. If so, then if they did it like "Love Never Fails" it'd look more real probably. Props to that actress and the team (tho I didn't watch it) bc it does indeed look more natural in that drama tbh.
I just realized it too, Zhu Zanjin's face was used for AI swap...just like how Li Qing's face was used to AI swap…
So you're saying Zhu Zanjin also refilmed the scenes alone? And it's confirmed. Makes sense then. The fact that he doesn't look exactly like him throws me off a bit like Li Qing LOL
They AI swapped his face so obv u can't tell it's Changxi but I did feel he looked similar to Zanjin from TU but not entirely and maybe they used his face for AI swap but idk.
Why would they swap He Changxi's face? Did something happen?
I guess bc he's gonna be in a BL drama and they did it just in case? I don't get that reason tho bc many actors who acted in *actual* BLs can still act... It's strange. Poor guy's hard work gone but ig it's best to be safe?
Wow I just found out Song Yan was played by He Changxi... I watched him in the Painted Skin and Wuliang short movies and I loved him there. It's a bummer we don't get to see his actual face in the drama bc of AI swap. ã… ã… But wait... did they really use Zhu Zanjin's face (I did think at first he looked similar to him but not entirely) or did they just make up a new face for him?
Not gonna have high expectations but I'm really excited for this one! I must watch it as it airs, not to mention it's the winter season, the perfect time to watch this hehe
So is it just me... I'm kinda thrown off by the romance. Realistically, the ML should love Ruoxi (3 years ago version) as well. But he says "Wu Fei" is the only one in his heart. Why the heck was there kind of a love triangle btw the two versions of Ruoxi? It was really annoying. Yes, the love triangle is complicated, but it would make more sense if the ML had feelings for both but then questions himself why he does. "Is it bc they look the same? Or they feel kind of different but the same person at the same time?" Bc in the end, they are the same person, only from different timelines.
Even after "Fu Wei" revealed to him about how she went back three years ago, basically saying Ruoxi in that time is still her, he still insists on being with "Fu Wei". Is it bc of the dreams he had so he's also in the future but with blurry memories? Even then, Ruoxi is still Ruoxi. Love in this situation is very complicated. This makes me feel like the ML doesn't truly love her bc he doesn't love Ruoxi (3 years ago). Wouldn't he question, "Then the person I love is also Ruoxi?" Lol it's so annoying 😠I kinda wished the FL would've just told him they're the same person so how can he only have feelings for one person when in the past he had feelings for Ruoxi in the past? Anyways, it's more realistic that way. And yes, ik the three years ago Ruoxi doesn't really deserve him, but I don't like how unrealistic the love btw the present Ruoxi and him is, esp when he didn't know the Ruoxi three years ago is still her, bc they only just met (at least for him) when he and Ruoxi knew each other for years, who he actually does fall for even with that negative attitude lol. But ig the dreams led to him falling for her. Then what happens to the Ruoxi in this timeline? Doesn't add up tbh.
Sorry for the rant. Except for the romance that throws me off and the FL not being able to predict her past self previously, I still enjoyed this drama. I think after watching SOOD, I just can't help be annoyed by the way they did some of the things here that feel pretty illogical, inconsistent, or unrealistic. It's only been three years, and yes, the FL has changed a lot, but the fact that the ML claims he never had feelings for Ruoxi feels off (sorry as I'm prob repeating myself lol).

(Sorry if I said a lot!)
