Geez the "gf" is annoying. She is cold so she slips under the covers? really? SMH.. bad writing
It is dumb. Its also an actual move. I know people who have done it. Its not very consent conscious on her part but she doesnt intend it to be. She’s trying to force her way.
Can someone tell me if I should watch the last episode and not cry? I read its a cliff hanger but i dnt really…
Its very stressful. I didnt cry but I did have difficulty processing it even knowing it ends on the same cliff hanger as the first book. So we can assume all is well because everyone is okay in the second book. If you want to be perfectly happy, wait till the second season drops to watch episode 24.
Sigh... the crown prince should be punish his for stupidity which cause so many deaths. He should be exiled and…
Thats one way to go. I like that he’ll live forever alone, constantly watched in a gilded cage he cant escape. It satisfies their loyalty to his father and leaves him suffering the punishment he was most afraid of. Having no one care about him or take him seriously.
so for the future viewers just wanted to give u a heads up that even though their first kiss is in ep 27 it doesnt…
Yeah. They do a really good job building the emotional empathy. I think they were 100% committed to the marriage by episodes 16-18. Its just so many others things were happening in the world, with her health, and their own inexperience that they don’t escalate beyond cuddles until episode 27.
People like GoodRick are just hypocritical dipshits in the comment section. To quote this idiot, "I'm not here…
I see your perspective. I think the conflict may lie in the appropriation inherent in targeting stories towards woman that fetishize gay relationships for our fantasies and a gay man’s desire to be represented in media independent of the cis perspective. Woman have a right to create or intake media about the whole world as we see it or wish to see it independent of male interference. And all people have a desire to see themselves represented in media. This show cant satisfy all sides and its a good enough show that many sides want it to. Either way you are right this show is BL by definition of what a BL is. I think the continuing discussion is good. Newbies are asking if this is BL or bromance because it is important to their decision to watch. Im sorry it ruined your ability to learn about the aspects of the show that interest you. Was there something you wanted to know that you weren’t able to find in the comments?
No, it is not BL. There is homoerotic subtext, but no BL. Not even an acknowledgement or confession of romance…
Disagree. It clearly demonstrates two boys falling in love with each other. The degree to which their physical relationship is shown on screen does not change that base fact. Could it show more? Sure, that would be great. If this had Hidden Love levels of kissing, this show would be fantastic. It sucks that it doesnt for all the stupid homophobic reasons it doesnt. But Boys Love does not mean Boys Sex. Emotional connection is as important as anything else. This show demonstrates that in spades and is highly affectionate and romantic. They kiss cheeks, flirt, wrestle, fight, cry, support each other, hug, sleep in the same bed, talk about their feelings, dreams, wants, sacrifice for each other, etc. It does tease at more and relies on homoerotic subtext to imply a more developed physical relationship. I get why you dont like that. I dont like that. That still doesnt negate this show is a BL. Its evolves from a complicated platonic bromance into a romantic boys love show. Nowhere does it says the genre of BL requires sex or make-out scenes to qualify. Its a genre targeting woman that features two boys falling in love. The degree to which that is communicated physically varies. Thats it. Thats the genre description .
Her acting in Sec. Kim was abysmal given that her face couldn't move
Im confused. She had excellent facial movement and control. She did all sorts of intentional twitches in her eyes, mouth, eyebrows, head movements and body communicated what she was feeling behind her business facade. Than when not in a work situation, she was much more expressive. Her character was the consummate professional and snarky as hell. It was a perfect performance of those layers. Im sorry you missed that. It was one of the funniest things ever watching her reactions to the male lead’s crazy character.
