Its her real voice. So they may have directed her to use it like that but it is her. Given her character is suppose to be 14-15 (in novel, they never say in drama at all) I was okay with the soft squeaky breathiness. She puts deeper tones in during impactful scenes. I do know in real life some adult woman who use their voice like this. Its not totally unbelievable. And given her character is conforming to an “ideal” of womanhood for survival it kind of fits her arc as a character. You are right about these types of female voices in general being an annoying pandemic for female voice acting in cdramas.

Whereas chu kong wants to deny it was him at all while still carrying the memories of those feelings. As best I can figure Li writes the framework of the story including a basic character set up. So party A is a righteous general’s kid who will be engaged to a love party B. That way they make the choices necessary to suffer the way they are suppose to for the tribulation. But even Li doesnt know everything that will happen.

Queue to a long contemplative series of shots of their family home which obviously has no one living there. It ends at the base of the time capsule tree with three gardening tools draped about. :/

Episode 23 has some great moments but it also builds the tension and lays out the motivations for why the car accident happens. It might feel too much like a cliffhanger if you watch it and than episode 24. Next comment spoils 24 ending if you really want specifics.
