Obviously I really like the concept, so my review whatever it might be is coloured by my overall liking of a show with a supernatural element. I really liked the characters. The story is interesting and immersive and the lead female character is definitely fun enough to carry this drama. I really liked the cast with the exception of Yeo Jin Goo. This is not a response to a lack of talent, because I think it's obvious by now that he is a great actor, but unfortunately he was miscast. For the most part it looked like a child in his father's clothing. Like a teen trying to act like an adult. It was a bit jarring. There was also not a lot of chemistry between him and IU, which ruins a love story that could have been much more if the actors shared chemistry. Overall, I really liked this drama. It's visually pleasing, the OST is beautiful and the story is engaging.

Regardless of the era, Sado as portrayed in this movie, definitely should not have been born as a King's son or at least not the heir.

Watched this a few years ago and both Song Kang Ho's and Yoo Ah In's performance is embedded in my mind. Prince Sado's story has been retold many times, but this one is so dark and haunting that it stays with you. The slow deterioration of the father/son relationship from childhood to adulthood is portrayed so well. Definitely a must watch

The best way to describe this drama is haunting. I watched this one about 7 years ago and I still remember it clearly. It's a very dark and horrifying drama that will haunt you forever

This one is definitely one of my most anticipated dramas. Both Yang Zi and Cheng Yi are a delight to watch onscreen.

I don't think "fair" has anything to do with it. Also, the way you vote doesn't necessarily mean that's how other people vote. That's what I was trying to point out. There will be people who vote like you do and there will be people who vote differently. That's just the way it is.

This list definitely looks very different from what I was expecting, but you can't really force what other people consider as their "favourite". Especially when it comes to Singer turned Actors.

I really liked this drama. Jun Ji Hyun pretty much carried it, but that was to be expected seeing as she had the most interesting character. Light, cute and funny.

Definitely agree with this. The kdrama adaptation was nothing like the manhwa, which is why I just decided to see them as two completely separate works. That's the best way to enjoy the drama and not get too upset about all the changes. I also agree with the idea that this should be a xianxia drama, because it's very obviously based on the same mythology and the overall look would just be amazing.

Loved this cute drama

I watched this back when it was airing and I must admit there's not mich to remember storywise. I watched this purely because of the cast and the beginning of the drama was interesting, but the characters just weren't developed well and the story didn't seem to be going anywhere. The actors did a great job with what they were provided. Overall, definitely a one time watch.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Lee Min Ho who was supposed to be playing the most charismatic character in the drama was outshined by Woo Do Hwan who played his bodyguard. I liked Kim Go Eun's performance. Unfortunately, this drama stopped making sense towards the end. Too many plot holes.

I usually don't drop dramas that I have started. I always want to know what will happen in the end, but I also don't want to skip just in case I miss something interesting. Yes, it sometimes leads to some painful hours.
