I have no words! I cannot believe this series, I think I am going to tap out at episode 39! This is insane, and…
"In no world, does evil triumph over good." That's a very naive thing to say based on the world that we live in where evil people are in charge of most governments. It's sad, but most dramas where good triumphs are just stories to make us feel good.
I put this drama on my to watch list because I loved the pairing of Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na in Goblin. For some reason, it took me this long to actually watch it. I must admit that this drama starts out really slow. It took about 4 episodes before I started having fun watching it. It's a very sweet and cute drama. There's not a lot of angst, but there are also not that many outright comedic moments. It's very sweet and romantic and it delivers what it sets out to do. Overall, I had a lot of fun watching it.
I'm not sure why I kept putting off watching this, because this is definitely one of my favourite genres. It's only 8 episodes, so I ended up watching it in one day. The acting was good and the drama looked great. The story was for the most part kind of predictable, but I ended up liking and enjoying it for the most part. It wasn't really about the surprise, but more about people and their choices and the consequences of those choices, which is laid out right from episode 1. Hee Ra is an interesting character and she was charismatically portrayed by Song Ji Hyo. Nam Ji Hyun also does a good job, but unfortunately her character is not really all that interesting. The typical good girl. She has some moments when she shows her strength and those are the parts that I liked. Gil Yong has some interesting parts and some less so, but overall it's his maturity and positivity that shines. CEO Oh was my second favourite character. He just shows up at random moments to help out, but Ha Do Kwon's charisma instantly lits up the screen. Overall, I really liked it. For short drama, it ended up telling an interesting story.
Well, as far as I remember, Ying Kong Shi will lose his memory somewhere towards the end and becomes evil. Kasuo and Ying Kong Shi have a fight during which he gets his memories back, but the Fire King appears and injures Ka Suo. Ying Kong Shi then has a fight with the Fire King and kills him. Kasuo ends up in a coma for a long time while Ying Kong Shi looks for a way to wake him up. In the end, Ying Kong Shi sacrifices himself to save his brother for the hundredth time in the drama and Kasuo wakes up.
I don’t quite understand what you meant by the comment, but I’m sure the title of this show ‘Sh**ting Stars’…
It really looks like it was meant to have the meaning that it does. If you read the summary on the page for this drama it says that the drama is about the people behind the scenes of the entertainment industry who clean up the messes caused by stars.
Final complaint: the wigs! ROTFLWho signed off on Duoluo and the Zhunian prince's wig? They should be shipped…
my thoughts exactly. For Duoluo, they seemed to have tried to make him as different to Zhuoying as they could, which resulted in the unfortunate choice of wig, but also some overacting by the actor. Suo Lan was just unfortunate. What were they thinking?
I finally watched this one. This drama went on my to watch list as soon as I saw the cast, but I needed all episodes to air and be subbed and I was right to wait. This would have been torture to watch while waiting for episodes. Yang Mi, William Chan and Xu Kai Cheng have all impressed me with multiple performances before and I was really looking forward to their performance and on screen chemistry. They did not disappoint. Obviously Yang Mi playing someone who's much younger didn't really fit, so in that aspect she was miscast and should probably have been replaced by a younger actress. She seems to have tried to compensate for that with her acting younger and the voice being girlier, but that did not help much either, because for the majority of the drama she was pretending to be a man, which would have lead to Haishi having a deeper voice on purpose. Obviously even dressed like a man, Yang Mi still looks like a gorgeous woman, but that's a whole other issue with multiple other Chinese dramas. Other than that, her performance was good. I particularly liked the heroic scenes. She fits those really well. William Chan fit his role really well and as the drama went on, he became the embodiment of Fang Jianming. The way he controlled his emotions was perfect. They are a breathtaking couple to look at and share amazing chemistry. Xu Kai Cheng seemed to overact a bit in the beginning, but a few episodes in, his moody emperor became my favourite character. Like William Chan, he became his character completely and I really looked forward to all his scenes. William Chan and Xu Kai Cheng's chemistry was also great. The brotherhood their characters shared was so apparent and so heartwarming. Despite the fact that there are three couples that the story follows, this is not really a drama that's completely centered on romance and I really appreciated that. There are plenty of schemes and battles. The drama is also absolutely gorgeous. The scenery, the costumes, the music and all the sets are beautiful. All in all, I really loved this drama and I would recommend it to anyone who loves costume dramas.
They finally started filming. Exciting!!! So Deng Wei is Tu Shan Jing after all. Also, there's no way Xiang Liu is a guest role. He's been there for the FL since the beginning till the end.
Interesting, are you able to rewatch a drama episode by episode without skipping scenes? Especially a drama like…
Depends on the drama. I suppose for this one I might skip Su Jin, because she was really annoying the first time around. I recently rewatched The Untamed and tried skipping some scenes, but ended up not being able to skip too much. We'll see.
