Okay....I've been watching a TON of clips and bts of this drama on YouTube. (I say clips because I haven't been…
It's actually pretty obvious right from start, especially if you're familiar with the actor. He has a very distinctive face, so even covering half of it doesn't really help. It's Rong Hao.
You should definitely watch this. You'll be hooked in episode one.
Youtube seems to know that I'm having a hard time letting go. It keeps recommending bts videos. Just watched one with Di Di and Shu Xin's interactions after XLH's death scene. Di Di was just laying on the ground for a bit to gather himself and come back to reality and Shu Xin was there to comfort him. The crew was incredibly respectful and gave him the time he needed too. It made me relive that scene, which made me cry when I watched it. The clip also made me all calm for some reason.
Just finished episode 12 and I must say that even if Zhi Xi dies in the future to save Yan Dan's life, she will not be able to redeem herself in my eyes. After what she did in this episode, to the sister that cares so much for her, I'm completely disappointed in her. I loved their relationship so much in the beginning and hoped it would stay the same and even when Zhi Xi started to become twisted, I tried to find excuses for her behaviour, because she did suffer from her lack of talent and being called the weaker twin, but that's over now. Her complete lack of compassion for her own sister is borderline psychotic. She only cares about herself and will probably become even worse as time goes by.
I read the novel and liked it, but couldn't make it through the drama. I dropped it after a few episodes. The reason is probably because it didn't feel anything like the novel. To be more precise, it didn't give me the same feelings as the novel did. Unfortunate, because I did love Sound of the Desert.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ma Tian Yu. I think he's a great actor and a delight to watch. I must admit I haven't really seen a lot of Angelababy in dramas. I tried watching one a while back, but had to drop it. It had nothing to do with her, the drama was just not good. I do hear a lot of hate for her acting, but seeing as I don't have any personal experience, I will wait and see before forming an opinion. All I can say for now is that she looks the part.
""There are no men like Dongfang Qing Cang out there, but there are men like Yun Zhong!" " lol, so true, but that…
I suppose I'm not really talking about the world as a whole, which as you said is in a very depressing state at the moment, but an average person's life. Like mine. I tend to try to ignore the depressing state of our world and choose to lose myself in beautiful worlds in these dramas.
""There are no men like Dongfang Qing Cang out there, but there are men like Yun Zhong!" " lol, so true, but that…
Hahahahaha. I suppose the thing about dramas is that their world is cruel and unfair too, but we do get to see a happy ending and larger than life characters and it all works out in the end, while our own future is a mystery and our own lives for the most part are in comparison boring, hence our need to be entertained.
You'll be very surprised about the Heavenly Emperor :3 I also want to point out that the punishment of love is…
I am enjoying it. That's why I'm spending time in the comment section. Thankfully Ying Yuan does seem to ignore her for the most part, but she's not subtle. Or maybe I just dislike her and want to see her punished lol. She's not a nice person overall. Thank you for helping with the explanations.
You'll be very surprised about the Heavenly Emperor :3 I also want to point out that the punishment of love is…
Based on what the Emperor said before about how those in love only repent when they're dead and Ying Yuan telling Yan Dan that he would kill her if she ever fell in love, it does seem like death is the ultimate goal. So one-sided love is ok? That doesn't seem logical. I mean, one-sided love can easily turn into an obsession and make the person do all kinds of twisted things. Just look at Ying Deng. Or at the multitude of other xianxia characters. If love in the eyes of the heavenly realm is seen as a sin or a weakness, shouldn't all kinds of love be forbidden. Also, the Emperor warned Ying Yuan that it would beba problem if she fell in love with him. That would be a one-sided love too, but he was already warning that she would be punished.
I am looking forward to the explanation why love was forbidden in the first place. If it's the usual "you can't care for the whole world if you love one person more than others", it will be weak. At least in this setting.
There's a reason why Heaven Realm doesn't allow love. Mysteries will be explained in Part 2. The leads are awesome…
I'm really looking forward to know more. The leads are definitely what I'm currently watching for. I hope the other characters get more development, but I'm really looking forward to see more of the leads together.
I loved this novel and I was really looking forward to the drama. China's rules on entertainment are getting out of hand. What is their reasoning behind banning bromance dramas anyway?
Try Love Between Fairy and Devil. It's funny and cute and has some heartbreaking moments too. It's also visually stunning. It's only 36 episodes. I fell in love with it in the first episode.
I'm watching episode 6 and it looks like my wish that the relationship between the Emperor and Ying Yuan is similar to that of the Emperor and Bu Yi in LLTG is just wishful thinking. At this point I feel like the Emperor doesn't really care for him and is merely using him because of how powerful he is. I feel like he's one of the villains, with his whole "no love" thing. Also, the punishment for love is death. What kind of rule is that? Why do these immortals even stay in the heavenly realm where emotions are death? For some reason I also feel like Ji Dou Star Lord is a villain.
I also really dislike Zhi Xi. It's painful to be seen as the weaker one even though she has worked really hard to come so far, but she's clearly jealous and would rather listen to gossip and Ying Deng than trust her own sister. The way she was trying to encourage Yan Dan to do better in the beginning just all seems fake, because she clearly prefers her little sister being lazy and not overshadowing her. It's too bad that her envy has turned her into such a twisted person.
Ying Deng is despicable. Also, she's clearly in love with Ying Yuan, so why isn't she being punished??? She's not that subtle that people can just not notice.
Luckily, I like Yan Dan at this point. She's fun, sassy, silly and kind. Yang Zi is doing really well portraying this character with a multitude of expressions.
I also like Ying Yuan, weighed down by his responsibilities as he is, he's clearly a kind soul looking for a peaceful life. Cheng Yi is always good at subtle changes in expression, conveying so much.
This is definitely the dark horse drama of the summer and even possibly year. There wasn’t much promotion at…
I was actually surprised that not many people heard about this drama before it aired. It was one of the dramas that I was eagerly waiting for along with Immortal Samsara.
You should definitely watch this. You'll be hooked in episode one.
I also picked this drama after watching LLTG.

It was funny and sad (cause it's true) at the same time plus Di Di delivering the second part with such conviction. It cracked me up.
