That's too bad. Is it based on a book? Maybe we can read that to clarify some things.

The war between Huang Chao and Lanxi was indeed to see who was better and will get to rule. I think it was inevitable, unless one of them would just give up, which is what happened when they realized there was a third person. There were also other battles in the war though, between the other kingdoms which we didn't get to see with all thebtime skips. Obviously they wouldn't just roll over and give their state up, so that's also inevitable. That's what I meant. Lanxi was preparing his army long before he was ever preparing to fight Huang Chao and I don't think it was to fight Feng Ju who he defeated without any help from and army. I suppose that's why I liked Qingzhou as a kingdom. They only ever wanted to protect their people and in the event that a new and wise emperor would arise, they were willing to follow. It was also nice to see both Huang Chao and Lanxi protecting the common people and fighting their battles away from them in contrast to Wuyuan, who used them as human shields against Huang Chao, knowing that he would not attack and risk the lived of the people.

Lanxi creating the flower to symbolize them sounds more interesting then them receiving it. It did feel like he only used a few petals in then tv show. He ate one himself and used a few in the medicine. Either way, the flowernmay or may not have been able to save her, but it will definitely not be able to save him, so if there's a season 2, I think you're right and they'll have to look for a specific cure.

When she got hurt in the end, I was thinking that they still had a lot of the flower left and why they weren't using it to save her again instead of taking his life essence. Did he really use the whole flower then or can it only be used once? When they were given the flower, it did seem like they would only be able to use it once. Maybe the book gave a better explanation or maybe the flower wasn't even in the book? Anyway, I think the war was inevitable and even Lanxi was preparing for it. There was no peaceful way to unite the kingdoms, whether it was Huang Chao or Lanxi who did it, so that never bothered me. I was however surprised that a careful person like Huang Chao trusted an elusive person like Wuyuan so unconditionally.

Good. I can start watching then. I hate it when so much content is cut that things stop making sense. I hope it's not that bad.

If there's a season 2, it would be mostly free of court politics, which would be nice. I really loved seeing the two of them free and doing whatever they wanted in the beginning. They would definitely be much happier. Bai Feng Xi was always happier just roaming the world and it was obvious right from the beginning that that's where she belonged. Feng Lanxi had his ambition, but it was nice to see him leave the burden to Huang Chao (an equally capable ruler) and follow his heart. I would watch season two, just to see them living happily and creating a family of their own.

It indeed does make more sense that they were aware of each others identities and were just waiting for the other to reveal it. I did really like that they were clear about who they loved and other people could clearly see that there was no room for them to interfere. In the beginning I was really worried that Feng Qiwu would turn into a jealous rival and try to ruin their relationship and I would have been really upset, because right from the beginning I really liked Feng Qiwu. Thankfully, she remained the amazing woman I thought she was. I really hate it when amazing and intelligent women turn into jealous and stupid women in dramas sometimes. Han Pu's death was really sad and not entirely necessary.

LLTG is next on my list. I hope the english subs are available. Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei seem like an adorable combination.

It's true that he never loved his first queen and only married her to legitimize his rule and that would have been fine. Unfair to her, but understandable. Obviously, I think that if he was a good person, he would have tried to make the relationship work instead of neglecting her and leaving her to die, but that is common in historical dramas, so that's also clear. He never knew about his first son's illness, but treated him as non-existant, because he considered him weak, which is tragic. He was never even considered as a possible heir. While I do understand his love for his second queen, who probably reminded him of his low born mother and therefore also his love for Feng Ju, I still think it's despicable how at every turn he presented himself as a person who loved his family above all else and was just trying to keep peace between his sons, but what he was really doing was making them compete among each other as long as it kept his position as king safe. He's a hypocrite. LLTG is on my list, but with my patience level, I need all the episodes to be available before I can watch the drama in peace. The relationship between the leads is definitely one of the best things in this drama, although I never understood why she waited for him to find out about her true identity on his own even though their relationship was already at the point where she accepted his proposal.

I've been putting off watching this drama for years now, because of the comments about it's ending. Can someone tell me if it's worth watching 67 episodes?

This was a very entertaining drama, whatever else you may read about it. It's visually beautiful and the storyline is interesting to follow. There are many characters to love and many to hate. Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi make a stunning couple and share a great deal of chemistry. Their relationship is very strong and their loyalty to each other beautiful to watch. What I also appreciated were characters that I liked from the beginning, but was afraid will turn evil like they do in a lot of other dramas, but luckily they didn't. I really appreciated Huang Chao as the rival of Feng Lanxi. He was equally capable and would make just as great and benevolent a ruler as Feng Lanxi, which made him a perfect rival. I was really glad that he wasn't just some evil, power hungry man. If there was one character that was a bit disappointing, it would be Yu Wuyuan. I wish he was a bit more interesting. He may have been miscast. He matched the gentle image well enough, but I feel like the character would have benefited from a more charismatic actor for the overall development of his story. All in all, this was a great drama to watch.

The mother was a whole new level of evil parent. I can't believe how she could treat her son that way. In the beginning I did find it weird that she pretended like she had only one son and that her oldest was raised by the previous queen, because it looked like the only reason she preferred the youngest was because he was born when she was officially married to their father, even though both are the king's sons. When it was revealed that it was because of his illness, while we were finally given a reason, I hated her even more. She is a monstrous woman. I was happy that she was never able to turn Feng Chang against Feng Lanxi. Their relationship was so pure, I wouldn't be able to bare to watch it crumble. It's very unfortunate that she was able to poison Feng Ju with her evil nature. So you are right that the mother was more evil and hateful than the father, but the way he enabled her to abuse his sons right in front of his eyes while knowing full well most of the things she's done doesn't really make him that much better.

Just watch ep 34 I suddenly don’t hate Feng ju anymore. What he said to the king about Feng lan xi literally…
still hate him, but he was definitely a product of his toxic parents and he knew exactly what kind of people they were. I was happy to see him tell his father straight to his face what kind of bad parent he truly was even though he seemed to believe he was a great father

When I first heard about a live action adaptation of Bleach, I was a bit apprehensive. Especially, since Attack on Titan was incredibly disappointing. That being said, I really enjoyed this movie. I watched it back when it came out and decided to rewatch it today and it's still a very fun and enjoyable watch.

In China, there's a problem with shows being too long and having too many filler episodes, so a law was recently…
That was to be expected. That seems like the easiest solution to get around that law. The way the Chinese government interferes with dramas is not good for creativity. It's true that a lot of dramas have filler episodes, but is it really the governments place to interfere? On top of that there are already so many restrictions.
