Still not too far in but they really did Jung Eun-ji no favors by pairing her with Lee Jung-eun in one character. The old veteran is in irresistible form.

I think we're coming from different places and are looking for different things. I thought the violent thugs aspect had been demonstrated sufficiently in ep 3 or whenever that was.

Since you mentioned Bong-soon it is indeed similar. I loved the leads and their performance and the production standards are high. I found the domestic violence jokes increasingly unfunny and the gory violence against women completely unnecessary. Yeah, kidnapper evil but they didn't have to take the visuals that far.

MSM isn't nearly as bad but I thought that ep 15 lacked in substance what it displayed in violence. No need for a spoiler since I give away no plot points... in fact everything you need to know about ep 15 is in the ep 16 flashbacks.

For the viewers who came for the romance and fluff and not for the gangland violence, ep 15 went too far and broke the promise. I think it's as simple as that.

I think the underlying story is good but the scene transitions look forced and abrupt, the flashback returns are indiscernible, and the twists have no punctuation and awkwardly come out of nowhere.
