Reading your reviews is always a treat, for me, Won.
I find this one particularly effective because you chose to consider the metaphor over what was shown on screen and it makes me re-think the whole drama.
Thank you. :)
Another lovely review from you. :)
I'm planning on watching this one very soon too, so I love to gain as much valuable opinions as possible before beginning the journey myself.
Thank you. :D
After the loss of Dramacrazy and D-addicts torrent page, I'm not even surprised anymore.:(
While I understand the need to protect copyright, the geographic restrictions annoy me no end: they are discriminatory and unjust.
Dear Staff, It is already on the verge of ending !! you can say it is already completed . if you want me to delete…
The staff is not trying to be petty, this rule exists for a very good reason. A story is completed by its final episodes, if they are terrible, are you still going to state this is the best drama ever?
Since reviews are here to help future watchers, the least we can do as members of this site is to be, indeed, useful. Since you obviously love the drama I'm sure you can enjoy it to the fullest till the end and then post your review.
I'm surprised at myself for actually liking this drama. Yes, the acting is not oscar-winning, but both Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyeon have the perfect looks for the part, he so lanky and pale and she so fire filled. I'm not even a great fan of vampire stories, but I'm enjoying the scientific approach.
Also, I really don't get why Ri Ta's the only one to be generally criticized. She has a rotten temper, but not only this is OFTEN the case with surgeons, she's by far not the only one. Park Ji Sang is clearly a genius in terms of technique, but - at least now - he couldn't care less about patients, his only goal being the chase of those who killed his mother. So, in terms of likable characters, he's a lot worse than her. I personally don't mind, as the thing I like the most in a drama is to see how characters gradually change and grow. I just don't see how we can target her for being arrogant and not target him for triple as much.
Dear all, I have a small question for you: when Young Shin meets Healer on the roof of the Someday and she realizes…
Thanks for your reply, helkwo. That was my first thought too, but for some reason I started thinking I got it all wrong and had missed some hidden meaning.. :)
Dear all, I have a small question for you:
when Young Shin meets Healer on the roof of the Someday and she realizes by touching him he's standing opposite her, she asks "who are you? And who am I?"
What does she mean by asking who she is? Is she referring to the DNA test and her possible connection with him? (her wild guesses about him being her biological father cracked me up, by the way)
Thank you in advance for your feeds. :)
Thank you for mentioning Park Min Young's appearance and defending her against critics. I've watched this drama with my husband and he fell in love with her not only because her character is so likable, but also for her very natural, not at all glamourous look. Had she been the usual mini skirt fashionista we often see in dramas, how true would that have been to her character? By the by, she's pretty enough to be able to charm without makeup. :)
I've seen this type of comment more than once, so I just want to say that... obviously the eye candy helps, but…
LOL, if liking a drama depended solely on the looks of an actor, we would be in deep trouble, since there is basically NO ugly looking Korean actor in the whole entertainment business nowadays. Unless a drama deals only with 70 year olds, we can be sure a drama is going to have at least 1 eye candy. Furthermore, beauty still is a subjective matter, so we can safely state that every single drama will appease a number of viewers for the looks of the actors, even the so called perfect dramas like Bridal Mask or Queen Seon Duk. I say so called because, frankly there's no such thing as absolute perfection: there's only things that perfectly respond to what we are looking for.
In this sense, Healer was perfect for me.
With all due respect to everyone's opinion, I think many here are making too much of a drama out of the sex part.…
I think it may, Rain. Given the way it begins, with the female lead alredy trapped in that role you described, we can only infere she will gradually break free of these bonds of tradition, twisted moral and society pressure. Or so I hope too.
With all due respect to everyone's opinion, I think many here are making too much of a drama out of the sex part. I think it's clear enough by episode 2 that this story is not about two people falling in love in the usual order (see meet, bicker, fall, kiss etc etc), as much as it is about finding strength to get free of their oppressive bonds.
Therefore, there is a precise reason why everything was so rushed: instead of being the conclusion, the physical part is just the beginning.
This said, mad mother, petty old teacher and vexing ex-girlfriend make this into a hell of a frustrating experience. Not to mention the totally unrespectful students (is such a behaviour truly allowed in Japan?)
I fear this drama will depress me before it entertains me.
I have never even got near this drama, but I've read this review many times already, so witty and funny it is.
See? Even a mediocre show can have good side effects. ;);)

Nothing more to add. :)

Ok, I for one won't watch it.
Mission accomplished. ;) :D
