just after finish city hunter (and i love it ) i have begin to watch this drama but it was boring me only at half…
Yes, that's quite scary, isn't it? :D
More seriously, I'm not a teenager and not a Lee Seung Gi's groupie, however I think King 2 Hearts is a brilliant drama, in terms of acting, plot development, characterization, cinematography, music, courage.
I have watched my share of dramas myself and always try to use fix criteria when judging a work of fiction - this, regardless of how many nights I spend ogling a hot actor.
This being said, you are entitled to your opinion and taste - although writing a review after 2 episodes seems a little too soon to me.

I must say I had never been called a teenage groupie before.:P

Akai, how did your exam go?
I didn't ask you directly, but I have been following your conversation with Perf... yes, I'm even eavesdropping now, lol.

I have. It's a great drama, incredibly hilarious. It's so funny to hear him talk with the Yakuza slang, with those "rrrrrr" rolled forever. Haha.
And I always love kids in japanese dramas, they are not only the cutest cubs ever, but their stories are mostly very touching and thought-provoking.
:)
Have you watched Sennyu Tantei? The drama in itself is interesting enough, but Shota is so gorgeous it's not even funny, lol. Now and then I find myself staring at the screen with my brain completely blank. ;)

LMAO!
As a matter of fact, while watching Summer Nude on Mondays, I have a daily appointment with Matsuda Shota and his Sannyu Tantei, with Renn Kiriyama and all the raw things I have downloaded due to him (what we do to please the hormones) and many more, like you very rightly say! XD
And if anyone should accuse us of being shallow, we can always blame the heat. ;)

Forgive me for replying so late, Amy, I've been... distracted. ;)

I see you go from one hottie to the next in your avatar. ;);)

I agree, he alone makes the drama worth watching, LOL.
Jokes and drools apart, I like the feel of the first episode, with likable characters and simple situations.
I'm fine, although I should be working a little more and ogle a little less. ;)
How about you, Lunar? Aside from hot guys, is there anything interesting that got your attention lately? :D

I wanted to reply sooner, but our summer is very stormy, almost tropical, with hot days and evenings charged with lightnings, so I always switch off all my electric devices.:S
I think you should write an article, if you have something you wish to say and share. Not only your English sounds flawless to me, but most writers aren't anglophone either. So please don't be deterred, the editors will also check possible typos for you. The only problem they have, as long as I know, is the number of articles they have lined up, lol. :D
It's really funny and interesting that you mention Kikuta and Himekawa: I think you're going to like my next article, after all. They are mentioned too. ;);)
It seems almost redundant for me to tell you that I totally agree with you on the "hinted" romance aspect. On a side note, the Japanese are true masters of this. This is possibly why I love them so. :)

I like sad endings when they make sense. Although every time I read or watch a cinematographic version of Romeo & Juliet a tiny part of my brain screams: "wake up!", I accept that their love story had to end the way it did. It's all the more beautiful because of it.
I also accept that a tragic drama ends tragically, that's why I hate the last melos I've watched from Korea which gave us 20 hours of tragedy and gloom and 2 final seconds of miraculous happy ever after which made no sense. Bleah.
This said, I hear your Voice is so likable because it has a big humourous side, it's more akin to a romantic comedy with the fantasy element than a tragedy with its requirements.
Therefore, I truly hope it ends well for all the nice characters involved bar the villain.
:D

I haven't read the spoilers, but everyone who did was horrified by it, lol. So I can only hope this is good news, meaning that the terrible ending will be changed into a good one (?).
A girl can hope... :P

I too wished they hadn't extended it. Extensions are never a very good sign, meaning that the script can be manipulated even so far into the story. I wish writers would stick to their original plan.
Anyway, let's wait and see.
If you start it, let me know what you think, please? :)

I am fine, thank you! I should be working hard right now, but all I can do is jumping happily from one drama episode to a book I'm reading, to a message on the wall to the next episode. In short, I'm back to a not so healthy but very satisfying addiction. (Yamapi included)
lol
How about you? :)
I AM enjoying I Hear your Voice very much. Accidentally, what you wrote in your review about the female heroines is very much on topic here: the females in this drama are great. All of them. The main one is wonderful, I'm in love with her, but all the others are likable, unique and intelligent. The plot is very addictive and the pace swift. Up to now, there hasn't been one dull moment. Hope it keeps up.
Right now, I'm ready to recommend it. :)

Thank you so much for your message, Mana, and for sending the friend request.:D
I'm glad you liked the article, I have written a new one but it will take some time before they publish it, and like it always happens now that I have sent it I would so very much like to take it back. It's too much related to my own taste. It's really hard to find issues many people can relate to: most articles end up being personal rants or raves. Oh well, the deed is done. ;)
I'm so glad I've found another Takeuchi fan. There is something about her that enchants me, even when she plays such a hard role like a cinical police officer.
I remember reading your review of Mother and adding it to my plan to watch list thanks to it. Therefore, the pleasure is mutual. :)
Thank you again for writing to me. Feel free to do so any time. :)

And thank you for doing so, bocka! I always love long and well argued messages. :D
Once I read that "only people who have ideas can change them". Simple and true, isn't it?
I totally agree with you that "unique" should be a choice in a review. I often miss a score for the cinematography too: after all, we are discussing visual products here, why not include the style?
And yes, scoring is not the easiest of tasks. I have gone back to my own many, many times. I changed them, re-changed them, and still I'm never fully satisfied.
We also change, our palates become more used to things, hence more refined and demanding.
See? I ended up blabbling too much too. It must be the good vibes. ;)
Thanks again for writing to me. :)
Thank you so much for the recommendations! I haven't seen any of those, but you made me curious about them all. I will certainly check them out. :D

Good saturday, Addy!
I've just read your review of A Gentleman's Dignity and as usual enjoyed it immensely.
Not that I have so much to say about the drama myself, since I dropped it by episode... 3 or something. However, I too couldn't connect with the females, and to be very honest neither did I like the males a lot.
Anyway, thanks for the pleasant read. :D

My dearest!
Stand Up is a great drama, in my opinion. I love the way in which they dealt with the issue teens and their hormones, but also how they showed adults can be much worse than the kids they pretend to control. The "Dotei" Boys are fantastic, lol.
By the way, Ive decided to dedicate my profile page to my loves in turn, so this Summer it will be Yamapi. :D
I have started Summer Nude... I couldn't resist, although I just have the first episode raw, lol. You know how it is when one is going through an obsession. He could be reading the yellow pages I would drool nonetheless. ;)
Joss Weadon i think it's the name of Buffy's screenwriter. I haven't thrown away the set, but it certainly is collecting dust, haha.
I'm one of is Die hard fan but I would never shy away from saying that his acting sucks !! But anyway wishing…
I also belong to his fans without actually being his fan, lol. As much as it pains me to say so, there's something irresistible about him - at least to me. The dramas he worked in sucked and his acting skills need... *cough* refining? But he was the reason why I completed those dramas. So, I'm intrigued by this and hope he takes the role. It should be fun to see him in an action drama. :)
