Terrific article and wonderful actor.
LOL at that scene with the skirt! Hahaha

I too was incredibly impressed with his role in Shut Up... Brief, and yet unforgettable.

Perhaps the reason why no one had written a review before is because the drama isn't over yet? Of course it couldn't…
The respite of one airing drama without an unripe review.
This, couldn't last.

Japanese for me. :)
Still learning too, but since I'm not attending a course or anything, I fear it's going to take a very long time. In the meantime, I can always watch dramas and pretend I'm learning. ;)

And thank you for sending it! :D
Are you learning or do you already speak Korean? :)

Is this show worth it? I mean I'm bored to death of episodic crime dramas but I love Shota. Hard decision! :S
Sailorgirl's comment made me LOL so much. Accidentally, it's also very true. :D

A wonderful article, very informative and inspiring. :)
I just wished you had included some Japanese and Chinese actors - although I realize that not only this is your taste but the article would have become longer than a phone book, lol.
However, pease allow me to mention a few of my over 30 favourites: Kubozuka Yosuke, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Takenouchi Yutaka, Kimura Takuya... among others. :)

I think tomorrow I'll start Nine too.:D Not today, simply because Monday is my hubby and my day off and we use it to do a hundred things. :D

I hear your voice is the drama for you, my dear, I feel it! I am watching it with my husband, who loves the supernatural touch and he's hooked. We watched 4 episodes in a raw last night (well, this morning until 5 a.m.) and he didn't want to stop. I had to remind him the show's still airing and they have just released 8 episodes. It's the kind of drama that keeps you on edge but entertained too. It's funny and tragic, with an absolute adorable female lead, the sweetest male lead in a long time and a very goofy ex-Oska (LOL, I can't think of him as anyone else) and a very intriguing, well thought-out plot. At least until now. And because I have a couple of questions, I so hope you're going to give it a try and tell me what you think. :D

First of all: it's GREAT to talk to you, my friend. I'm glad you'r relatively free, because I'm not too busy either at the moment and we can discuss!
I am watching a few dramas at the moment, which is quite rare for me: Ryusei (if you want to re-watch it, it means it's good. The first impression was a lot better than I expected)
Sennyu Tantei - usual Japanese crime drama, but Shota is so gorgeous it's not even funny. Interesting 1st episode.
Honboshi - another crime investigation drama, nice enough, with a very handsome Renn Kiriyama.
As for Soratobu, the one I gave a 10 to, that drama touched some very sensitive spots in me, it will remain for a long time in my heart.

Awesome you pretty much covered everything. I lived in Korea for a year and I have a possible response for #2.…
Thanks for your feedback, Ayalon. Indeed, once again very 18th-century-England, lol.
In fact, they don't develop high fever when they get willingly wet in rain or fountains, nor do they ever suffer from common seasonal flu. High fever serves the purpose of having our hero/ine tend to the sick ones with wet cloths the whole night through. ;)

Thank you. I don't mind episodic dramas at all, and I love the Japanese way. :D
I'll definitely give the Vampire a go... no innuendo intended, lol. ;)

Great idea! As you can see, I am a fan of Secret Garden, mostly because I believe the script to be a true gem, so witty, surprising and romantic. Accidentally, I'm preparing an article on a writer too: Eriko Kitagawa, Japanese (Orange Days, Tatta Hitotsu No Koi, Sunao Ni Narenakute among others). I will take my time though, lol.

I am a little Japan oriented at the moment, but Korea is obviously not forgotten, nor is the sexy vampire.;)

Sometimes a drama it's good because it's... different, and because it has a very special flair. I think this applies to Reply 1997 - I humbly suggest you give it a try, it's a lovely drama. :)
This is why I'm a little skeptical towards a remake. It's like trying to recreate that special day on the beach with friends.
Which doesn't mean I hope this won't succeed: on the contrary, I wish them all the best. :)

Haven't seen Vampire Prosecutor. They tell me it's a great drama. :)
