I have never though about the different perspective with which we analyze airing and concluded dramas. However, I have always thought that only very good dramas pass the test of the waiting. Those I consider good dramas were somehow enhanced by the wait; the others lost their charm ongoing.
Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the food for thoughts. :D

You're welcome! :)
I agree with you about the airing drama thing. I usually try to avoid them altogether, but now and then I fall into the trap and then I can't get out anymore.
And if you like Ikuta Toma and good photography, Osozaki won't disappoint you!
Once you start it, let me know what you think, please. :D

I see you're already watching a few airing dramas, so I hesitate to recommend you "I hear your voice". It's a very, very addictive drama and promises very well, at least up to now (episode8). On second thought, since you are already running a sort of drama slalom among the airing shows, inserting another could be a good idea! :D
Up to you.
Otherwise, one of my recent loves has been Osozaki No Himawari, an adorable, slice-of-life drama with splendid photography and lovely characters.
I don't know if it's really your genre, but shouldyou try it out, I suggest you don't stop by the first episode: this is a drama which snaeks in gradually. :)

I don't really care for the streaming videos, but I have been a member in the forum these past 4 years and we also had a club among friends there, a place I was very fond of. Seeing all those pages of thoughts and exchanges disappear makes me sad and demoralized.
We have found a new place to slowly gather again, but it will never be the same thing. What's lost is lost forever - am I a little dramatic? LOL, sorry. ;)

Oh, I'll do the same, lol. I've promised myself I would wait, but I'm the most terrible liar when it comes to this sort of promises. My brain is very uncooperative when the hormones are involved... :P

Please forgive me for never replying to your last message. Last night I was caught in the whirlwind of Animecrazy shutting down and rushed here and there to salvage... whatever there was to salvage, i.e. nothing. :P
So you got first my hangover version and then the crazy hectic one. Not exactly the best business card... ;)
I bet that within 24 hours of shutting down, we will see lots of drama withdrawal symptoms here! Mine is more…
It's a wonderful idea, but I doubt it's feasable. There were thousands of threads over there, imagine the figure when you sum drama, anime, general discussions...
Like you, I too will miss the forum more than anything else. It's the place where we met, an important part of us is in those pages. :(

Yes, I still don't know how to do it, but I won't let a trivial thing like my temporary ignorance get in the way, lol.
I'll tell you as soon as I've thought this over. The idea is to open a blog with the same name of our Café. What do you think? :)

Shota's GORGEOUS. I've just finished episode 1, I'm not as fast as you are.
By the by, I've tried to start Nine Time Travel too, and I must admit the guy is too handsome to be legal, but I so don't like the cinematography of that drama: it feels like a soup opera, with frozen shots and chopped editing. Not to mention the girl, who got on my nerves the moment she appeared on screen.
I am not giving up, mind you, only I may... procrastinate. Forgive me?

I promise you, if they kill Soo Ha off after having spared in the most stupid way both that irritating Innocent Man - aka Nice Guy (I know you loved him, but I maintain that while he is a gorgeous actor, his character in that drama sucked huge time) and the other one in That Winter The Wind Blows - also with an absurd, ridiculous happy ending, I'll truly fly to Korea and do a mass slaughter of screenwriters... :P

No, I haven't. I'm already anxious enough to drool all over Yamapi as soon as the drama starts airing, lol. I'm not sure it's healthy for my hormones to add fuel to the fire... ;)

Thank you for sending the friend request, Pantheria, and forgive me for replying so late: yesterday I had a glass of wine too many, and my head stopped aching only a little ago.
It's a pleasure to meet you! :D

LOL at the BBF's Ost. I know you like it. I admit at having enjoyed the drama a lot more than I was supposed to, but that Paradise song... sorry, my friend, to me it's like torture. Hahaha.
But we agree on everything else, and I believe despite our being devided by an ocean, we are doing the same thing now: watch Shota. ;);)

So here's my doubt: is Soo Ha alive? I don't know why, but I have this insistent suspicion he could be some sort of angel. I've asked myself the same questions as you did: where is he living? With what money? What happened with that uncle of his who wanted to abandon him? Why is the writer giving us so little info about his life since the murder of his father? Why is he able to read people's mind?
Possibly, I'm overanalyzing - as usual. LOL
The only sure thing is, I HOPE I'm wrong, because I want his to end up happy ever after with Hye Sung. :D

Wow, you're fast my friend! :D
I hear your voice is definitely an addictive drama, isn't it? Like you, I love all the characters - except of course the villain, he's disquieting to say the least. My favourite is our main heroine, she's my type of female, a little raugh at the edge but intelligent, proud, quick and brave. Not to mention that she's the best in terms of acting, in my opinion. I also have a very noona crush on Soo Ha, so unlike you I truly hope she ends up with him. I know he's a school boy, but he's a lot more mature than all the other adults in the drama, not to mention Oska who's hilarious but so idiotic I can't imagine him romantically involved. LOL
My problem is that I have a terrible suspicion about Soo Ha... of which I'm going to tell you in the next hidden page. ;)

You mean Sorai?
I confess I have a weakness for shy and childlike guys. I can't stand the kind of I know it all, macho men, mostly in real life. This is why when I stumble upon a character like Sorai, who's smart and knowledgeable but still timid and somehow insecure of himself in the emotion department, I melt. I adore his character, he's part of the reason why I loved that drama. The other part was of course Ina-pyon (love at first sight for her) and the other adorable characters, the chief on top.
You are right: Japanese have this ability. They create personas, not simple characters. Before the last episode, I was really sad at the thought I'd have to let them go.
Furthermore, the romantic in me loves the suave way in which they deal with love stories, without too much pomp.
Episode 7, uh? I believe by then Sorai hasn't realized yet how brief 2 seconds can be. ;)
Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the food for thoughts. :D
