Unfortunately, I never watch historical dramas. Deep inside I know I'm missing some beautiful stories and photography, but for some reason I can't bring myself to start one. And it's all the more strange, since I love period movies. Who knows, perhaps I just have to wait for the right moment/mood to break the ice. The Princess's Man is on my to-watch list. :)

Hello Starlit,
please call me Rita! Thank you for accepting. :) I've read your review of The Moon Embracing the Sun and loved it, although I haven't seen the drama, nor do I plan to. Perhaps it's a little weird, but I like reading reviews, the longer and well written, the better. ;)
So I went peeping at your list and found out not only that we have many (dis)likes in common but also that you have the most unconventional dropped drama list I've seen so far. :D

Hmmm... not a huge fan of You're Beautiful... as I said I didn't like Personal Taste, I hated Full House... there are many more, but my brain right now is a meatloaf. :P

My dearest, I must go to sleep. It's 3.30 here and tomorrow I have to wake up early. I want to go on with our discussion, so please store the energy for later on.
Until then, I hug you tight!!

Oh, and it also reminded me of Personal Taste, another dislike of mine. I'm going crazy... :p

Yes, the comedy is priceless, you are right.
I may just as well confess that on seeing the evil step-sister and scheming cousin murderer I was immediately reminded of 49 days, and that spoiled my fun in the space of a second, since I frankly HATE that drama. I know there is absolutely nothing in common between these two dramas, but you know when a thought worms up inside your mind and you can't get rid of it no matter how hard you try?

Oh, of course I was not talking about films. That's too wide a universe to put everything in a category. :) I haven't seen the Artist, what is it about?

LMAO. Sorry, I know it's not even remotely funny, but I couldn't help it. I think you need a strong dose of something right now. Soju? ;)

Rooftop is not in my chords right now, I'm afraid. I would so love to watch more of that fantastic humour, but I'm heavily deterred by the step-sister trope and love triangles - right now, I hate love triangles and other geometric figures.
I am intrigued by the princess death too, and I commented elsewhere that I believe the body in the pond to belong to the princess's sister, and not the prince's wife.
I will pick it up again, but I'm not truly watching it right now and stopped by episode 3.

Personally, I like to see passionate love stories. If that involves sex, so much so good, as long as I'm invested in that story.

Yes, I think you should. Although I think Europe is quite decadent when it comes to culture, I too appreciate our being a lot more varied and definitely not prude.
I personally find American productions... incapable of a middle way. Either they show you unnecessary sex and violence - this last disturbs me much more - or they give you those ridiculous sugary things with no hold whatsoever on reality.
And when it comes to TV dramas, they usually make each character change so many partners, that by the end I wouldn't be invested in it even if they had hot sex.
As for Asian and TV productions, I believe they are very much into selling. Which means, they won't do anything which could diminish the audience. At the same time, as you say, they are not disturbed by hentai and non-japanese counterparts.

To be honest, I don't even know what it is, LOL. I just like reading reviews. And no, I'm not going to: 1. I don't like period dramas (but I love period films, I'm a bit strange); 2. I usually don't watch anything more than 20 episodes long. I can do with 30, perhaps and only if it's brilliant.
So don't worry, you're not spoiling anything for me. :)

Yes, and she was wearing that frilly nightgown... everything seems to point at sex, you're right. I was hanging on a little hope. Because there is no way I'm ever going to forgive them for not showing me the moment that shirt was taken off!!!

LOLOLOL.
First of all, I'm super happy you're watching it and that we can discuss it. Like you, I was left speechless by the doubt, lol. Here's what I think: they will tell us about it later on. Either she allowed him to sleep in her bed but nothing happened, or they did it, but because the focus right now is on everybody's recovery, their intercourse would have lost a lot of its depth, and only serves the purpose of creating a suspense which will be released in the future.
If they DO NOT go back to it in a way or another, show us some flash-backs or at least talk about it between them, I swear I swim to Korea and kick some deserving derrieres!!

I liked your review of Beethoven Virus. For some reason, not many have seen this drama, and even less liked it. I though it was inspiring and beautiful. :)
