I'm afraid I'll miss it too. I generally get very much attached to Japanese dramas portraying friendship, because it feels so similar to things I know. In this case, there was the food bonus. You have to know my husband is a pastry chef in michelin stars kitchens, so I know of that world, what it means for them to achieve their goals, the hardships at the beginning, and also what it means to be married to one. I've also met many Japanese cook who came over to Europe to learn the basics of the Italian cuisine or the French one. It was great to see it all dramatized. And the humor cracked me up! :D

Absolutely. I was a little scared when she tries to kiss him in the last episode, but laughed out loud when instead he stuck a piece of bread in her mouth. Hahahahahaha.

Thank you, Lis! :D Indeed, as I hinted there, I watched it thanks to your and Joe's review. And I agree with you about the ending and the not so romantic plot. I'm very glad they didn't go for the obvious pairing, which would have been so out of place. Therefore, thanks for your review, which made me watch it and love it! :D

By the way: loved your review of Hungry! I've started it today, and already find it hilarious. The "grand" opening is a blast. Hahahaha
I think I will like this drama very much. :D

Hello my friend!
I LOVED it. At the beginning it reminded me of Boss - and indirectly of you, hehe - but I soon realized that setting (a woman boss in a world of men driven police) and episodic crimes were the only things in common. I haven't watched the special first, because I admit at not knowing about it. Now I'm hesitant, because I don't really like to go back. I look forward to the movie which should be released - I hope - soon.
I wanted to write a review, but I just finished the drama and I need to cool down. Takeuchi Yuko is my favourite actress, I love her to bits, so I may be a little biased... ;)
What about you?

Thank you. :)
Oh, I've seen the movie, but never the anime, nor the manga. Do you think the movie was well done? :)

Thank you for your friend request. :)
I love your profile picture, by the way. :D
You are right, the motive was left unclear. This is my guess: the policeman had an affair with this woman in earlier time, but the paternity of the child was never revealed. Since the policeman had a gambling habit though, he decided to blackmail his former lover and get money from her in order not to reveal of her affair to her family and the true identity of the son. She refused and he killed her, but to make it look as if she simply ran away from home, he wrote a hasty "farewell" note which he then changed with a typed one so that his writing couldn't be recognized. Yuki's grandfather understood there was something wrong because he got hold of the original letter, and was killed accordingly.
A bit twisted, isn't it?
By the way, I wanted to recommend this drama to you some weeks ago but then I thought: he can't miss on a family drama with Yamapi as a plus. It seems I was right. ;);)

Actually, I do own a right of way, since I declared my affair long before Kamz even knew of this site. But no worry: I'm not the jealous type. ;)
I wonder why nobody seems to like the music, which I personally found awesome.

Exactly! It's like watching Gil Ra Im all over again. ;) This said, I can't watch so many dramas at a time. It's not even a question of time, but... I tend to be "monogamist" with my drama loves, at least I love one at a time. LOL
I'll add hungry to my list right now! :D

Hello Mike, I'm doing very well, thank you. The good news is: I've found my drama addiction back. The bad news is: the same. LOL
I'm currently watching Yamapi's new drama (I can never remember the title), which is a nice family drama with some twists and King 2 Hearts, which promise to become a favourite. I marathoned through the first 3 episodes loving it more and more.
What about you? :D

I'm fine, busy but for once not tired. That's the spring for me: I blossom like a veritable cactus flower! :P I'm so full of energies I don't know where to convey them, so I decided to jump into the drama watching again, after a very long vacation from them, and I stumbled upon the newest drama with Yamapi (don't make me write the title...:P)It's a nice one, so very Japanese. And Yamapi's the usual eye-candy, if you like the genre. I've tried a couple of Korean things but dropped them around minute 6. I miss my lover, obviously.
This said, I wasn't as shocked in discovering that Skye is a dude as I was in finding out he's barely an adult.
Never heard of Kings2Hearts, but I'll put it in my to-watch list, although I must say if it weren't for your mentioning it, I would never have given any hope to such a title. :P
