It's not covered in the Chong Zi novel or drama, but LYF and Chong Zi are dead by the time Song of The Moon takes place. If anyone is interested in how they die, I have it in spoilers below. Rest assured, this is not going to happen in the drama. It's long after their happy ending and after they have children.

This is most probably a nod to her kind-heartedness, even as a demon. She does not actually want to harm people other than the ones she is mad at. She's still a much much better person than a lot of the "righteous" sect members, even as a demon. That's the most ironic thing ever.

The guys are way too confident about themselves. Their thick skin does not allow them to look into themselves and realize just how incompetent they are in protecting CZ. CZ does not need these useless men. She can protect herself🔥

Any random person would've come up with something that's better. Especially drama watchers, we know what tropes are already overused and no longer work well in 2023. It's actually not that hard to create an appealing story nowadays, you simply have to surprise everyone by giving a twist to all the cliches. That's how fed up everyone is with cliches. The writers are the ones that keep perpetuating them for no reason. Maybe they don't know their customers enough.

Yes, I absolutely love the world building of the author. All her stories are connected and with characters related to one another. It's like a small MCU.

After Mu Yu tended to CZ's leg injury on that rainy night, she went back and LYF had a look at her leg. She asked LYF "how do you know my leg was injured?" and he said "I know everything about you". 😈🤭🥶

If you're talking about Chong Zi's second life, it's because LYF has been stalking and spying on her the whole time using the necklace he gave her. The stalking parts were edited out from the final release.
