She is essentially the same person, just reverted back to baby form. She was not "born again" by new parents, so she probably carries the original genetics and bloodline.

They should just change Wen Zi's age to be older. And then be a little more bold with their editing, push the boundaries a bit. Film two versions of each scene and send the more controversial one for review. Looks like they didn't even bother. There's really no need to rush, these dramas usually take 2 years to air anyway.

Yeah you can tell Chong Zi is still a good person at heart, and she listens to her heart and does what she believes is right. I'm rooting for her. She's one of the few characters in the story that does not see herself as an instrument to a greater whole. That's what's charming about her personality.

Oh yes I love how confrontational demon Chong Zi is. Her words are so to-the-point and asking all the right questions.

Mu Yu's demonic side is really interesting to watch. I love his personality and how gentle he is with Chong Zi. I'm secretly shipping him and Chong Zi's moments. She finally has a person by her side who will protect her at least.

I know they cut away the kissing scenes in CZ's first life because she was too young. They didn't even let LYF confess to her, or mention missing her after she was dead. They took away all the evidence that LYF was in love with first life CZ.

And then they cut LYF giving CZ a forehead kiss while she was asleep in the ice chamber. I don't understand why even a forehead kiss is not allowed. Is it because the person is asleep? I have no idea.

Oh yeah, and after CZ gave LYF a bite from the stick candy, they said something sweet and did a pinky promise. It's in one of the stills. That was also deleted for no reason.

The lack of romance in this drama is a result of censorship and deleted scenes.

A lot of us active watchers have not given a rating to this drama yet. We're also waiting for the third arc to start so we can see if it gets better. Many of us have been enjoying this show up to the end of the second arc, and that's when a lot of plot holes started appearing that made us quite disappointed.

I think most of us understand where LYF is coming from and don't hate him much. But the writer made him dumb in the recent episodes.

I enjoyed the part where Chong Zi came out from the ice chamber and confronted LYF. I felt sad for CZ. A rare scene that has emotions acted out properly.

LYF did a really poor job explaining himself though. He probably doesn't know someone pretended to be him and caused a misunderstanding.

The immortals are stupid and useless as usual. There is no security system at all and the demons can just go in and grab the sword and the other gadget without anyone noticing. Yu Xu Zi should be guarding the entrance of the ice chamber but he's never really there until the last moment. People can just go in and out of that chamber.

When LYF asked himself "why did I not visit her for 3 years?" I laughed and choked on my water. Ask the writer!! Even LYF's character is doubting the writing. I feel sooo sorry for LYF being nerfed. He was still intellectually sound when he came up with the ice chamber plan. Then it all went downhill. Poor LYF, all he wanted to do was protect CZ but the writer won't let him😂😂😂

I also love Chong Zi's new personality. She has some cool dialogue written for her. I'm looking forward to more of her demon moments.

The leads are physically tgt most of the time, even in FL's second life. They are also clearly in love with each other, but they're simply not "official" yet, if that makes sense.

Romance wise it's pretty slowburn and we're still waiting for some passionate scenes between the leads. There's not much action in this drama. We spotted quite an amount of plot holes at the end of the second arc, so we're hoping for the third arc to get better.

Min Yunzhong didn't die in the book, sadly. I doubt he'll die in the drama either. He never gets what he deserves :(

I don't think his words were enough for her at this point because what she wanted to see from him was real action. She wanted him to show that he was on HER side, and not on the side of the other immortals who are trying to harm her. LYF's shifu said "if you don't look at the flower, then the flower doesn't exist. If you look at the flower, the flower's colors become obvious."

I think it's the idea that as long as you aren't bothered by something, then it will be as if that something doesn't exist. But if you are bothered, then that thing will always be around. Applying that to the current situation, since everyone dislikes CZ, whatever she does will be seen as guilty. But to LYF, she is innocent, and that will not change even if she is arrested and charged. That's why LYF decides to put CZ into the ice chamber to buy time for himself to master the spell. It no longer matters whether CZ is innocent or not. What matters is the outcome of removing her evil aura. Imo that was a good idea, just poorly executed.

He would've straight out said yes if they were in private. I'm still bitter over the fact he couldn't confess or give her the hairpin properly. Man just needs to give her a kiss and tell her he loves her, and she'll give in instantly!!

His hurt towards the FL is more due to incompetence rather than ill intent. I think it still makes sense for the FL to hate him cuz he did screw up the one thing he was supposed to do, but I don't think she can truly get herself to hate him for that long. She clearly still loves him and it's not that hard to win her back. If not for everyone else messing things up for them of course. So it's kind of this Romeo and Juliet situation now, like someone mentioned. They want to be tgt but the circumstances are not allowing it.

I like how that part was written. It shows that Chong Zi still loves him so much and would not want to kill him. All she is hoping for is to be with him😢
