If Min Yunzhong dies in the next episode, I will give this drama a 10/10.
If they film a good bed scene between the leads, I will shut up and stop complaining about the plot.
And if they follow the novel ending, I will recommend people to watch this drama.

Maybe it's because he wanted to master the Mirror Heart Spell as fast as he could, so he worked on it for 24 hours a day, every day, for 3 years? Never leaving his seat?
But he's still not done even after all this time XD
He could have at least put some sort of detection device on her to signal him if she was in danger or sth. He trusts the other immortals too much. And that barrier he put was completely useless, it was easily removed by Ting Xue, a low ranked immortal.

In the novel, Chong Zi was 10 years old when she joined Nan Hua. So yes, it would have been more accurate to have a child play her. But the downside is that would also enhance the father figure of the ML and make their romance kinda creepy.

And then in the forest scene...
CZ: Do you dream about me too?
LYF: Yes.
CZ: A dream that only has me in it?
LYF: Yes and yes.

At this point I'll just be imagining my own version of the story.

How could he not be horny? Guy had to wait two lifetimes and 30+ episodes of story to get laid. His body should be in flames by now.

LOOOL I laughed when they showed him imagining Chong Zi combing his hair and being surrounded by first life Chong Zi and second life Wen Zi. That's such a subtle way of letting us know he is having lewd thoughts. The way the camera panned over her chest was funny too.

He was already obsessed with CZ before getting the heart poison, so I don't even think the poison makes a huge difference to his behavior apart from causing him chest pain and coughing up blood whenever he is sad about Chong Zi. I think the trigger is mental heartbrokenness and the result is physical heartbrokenness. For example, he got triggered when Chong Zi told him she will move out of the house, and also when she said "I have no feelings for my shifu" before she got locked up in the ice chamber.

I remember this scene of Qin Ke and Zhuo Hao talking in a restaurant, and they said: "There's no use going to visit her, because who she wants to see is not us."

Well hello??? That's such a stupid reason. You guys are still friends and friends are supposed to care about each other. Simply because CZ wants to see LYF the most does not mean she doesn't need to be cared for by other people. Bruh.

I think their eyes are kinda similar. Soft and round. Maybe also the vibe. But I wouldn't say they resemble closely.

I think this drama is worth watching just to see Jeremy's acting. He really nailed the role and I can't imagine LYF as anyone else. It's fun watching him descend to madness.

I hope so. They filmed the happy ending, but whether or not they keep it in the final cut is up to them.

There are actually viewers who are hoping for a bad ending because they think it is more fitting for the leads. But if that's the case, then Luo Ge from Song of The Moon wouldn't be born lol (I know it's from a different production, but I kind of hope the world building will follow through)

You could put it that way. It takes place 4-5 generations before.

Even the drama fans in China are really mad at the plot right now. They came up with some really good theories on why certain things happened, but they overestimated the intelligence level of the writer.

One theory I really liked:
Meng Ji, the woman who knows how to disguise as other people, disguises as Ting Xue to go into the ice chamber. That explains why she is able to break the barrier. She tortures Chong Zi in order to power up her evil aura.

That makes much more sense than Ting Xue doing it. Otherwise Ting Xue is reduced into a one-dimensional villain who is overly hostile towards Chong Zi for very weak reasons just to move the plot forward.

At this point, even a random commenter is a better writer than the screenwriter. They should've hired one of us to write the drama and it would still turn out better than now.
