In the novel, FL ends up with SML. It's one of the things ppl liked about the novel, but for those who want ML…
Most readers were actually happy that FL chose SML, because of how ML was written. The morale of the story was "sometimes you end up with the one who loves you the most, not the one you love the most" and that was what made the novel more unique and realistic than other novels. But for the drama version, just by looking at the trailers, it seems they are going to change ML to be the endgame. Not that I'd complain about that, as long as they have the ML redeem himself properly.

I read the novel a while ago so I don't remember the exact details, but by part 2 of the novel ML was single and decided to compete with SML for FL. FL rejected him tho.

I'm also dumbfounded by this tag. I wonder are they going to make this lighter than the og? Cuz with so much angst going on there's no way this should be labelled as a comedy lol
The censorship is so strict they can't even broadcast a kiss in the cheek. Lol...
I know it did. I'm just salty that they had to make the only actual kissing scene into a dream. Even after their college exam, they couldn't have a real and proper kissing scene. If they do make a special or season 2 that takes place in modern time, they sure owe us something!

I thought the same thing. So kiss in the cheek is only allowed after college entrance exam. And kiss in the lips is completely forbidden unless it happens in a dream. ROFL
I have a question! Does anyone know if there are any important meaning behind those episode titles?? I still don't…
Episode titles were mainly excerpts of certain dialogues or a short phrase capturing the main idea of each episode. There is nothing very secretive about those titles, so dun worry about missing important info
I wanna ask a Q abt messages?? how he sent her I like you n she didn't know or she thought it just a spam n what…
The last message in her inbox was "I like you". It was the message she deleted to go back to the past for the second last time. (The last time was when she deleted the "I like you" message on Wan Sen's phone)

I'm also not a fan of singer-turned-actors who are not equipped adequately for the job. A lot of times they are just cringe, and their fans would defend them no matter how they do, so it drags down the overall standard for acting. Someone with both looks and skill like Dilraba would be perfect.
Can someone explain to me what is a idols drama? Is any drama with romance consider a idol drama?
My five cents - I think idol drama generally refers to dramas aimed at a younger audience and mainly talk about romance, youth or any sort of mainstream pop genre. Main actors and actresses usually have good looks (and not just good acting) so fanbase effect plays a larger role in the reception of the drama. Idol dramas can actually be of a historical setting, not just modern, but historical ones are called "古偶劇" which is basically "historical idol drama". Examples include TMOPB, Sleepless Princess etc. A non idol drama would probably be sth like Nirvana in Fire which focuses on politics and power struggle alone, and played by seasoned actors.
This one is pretty angsty. It has a lot more sweet moments than TMOPB does, but it also has a fair share of angst,…
I love watching xianxias and I've watched most of them, but there's barely enough of these dramas out there to recommend. I know one called No Boundary (2 seasons) that might meet your criteria. It sits at 7.9 on MDL which is pretty low, but the reviews are all positive. I think it got a low rating because people weren't used to dramas being split into seasons at the time. You can also try The Legends, but that one is known for having a poorly edited ending.
Actually, a bunch of new xianxias are going to be released this year, so you may have a better luck waiting. I'm currently waiting for The Blue Whisper, which is going to start airing at the end of this month. I finished the novel and LOVED it. It also fits your criteria. Maybe you can look out for that one :)
Revisiting this drama after many years. I still remember that the villains in this drama are the most annoying villains I've ever seen. Usually xianxia dramas have just one or two main villains but this one has three + one good guy turned bad (the only one that has redeeming factors)

Frankly I thought L&D had quite a few misunderstandings and lies too. It just wasn't too overbearing and got resolved rather quickly (or didn't really affect the relationship of the leads as much). I think I get your point.
