Okay, now I know what you mean. For AOL, there are some misunderstandings and manipulation/lies that cause tension between the leads for more than once. So it may not fit your criteria.
Is this fluffy or angsty? I have been avoiding this since I figured it was like Eternal Love/TMOP full of angst,…
This one is pretty angsty. It has a lot more sweet moments than TMOPB does, but it also has a fair share of angst, misunderstandings and occasional antagonism between the leads (tho the love is still strong). If you're looking for fluffy xianxias, this one probably ain't it, but it's one of the best xianxias so I still recommend you to watch it, maybe when you have the mood to. Also, if L&D is fluffy by your definition, maybe AOL is fine for you.
I just finished reading the translated novel version and y'all, I am super excited for the drama adaptation. I…
I also think Dylan looks better with black hair, but honestly he looked fine with white hair in Miss The Dragon too. Maybe they didn't want him to look the same as in that drama.
The novel is really long and many things happen. 40 episodes is not enough to cover it all, but it doesn't seem like they are going to split it into two parts like TBW. This is one of those stories that actually dont get draggy even with 60 episodes because of the sheer amount of content.
It says "estimated Feb" so it may be subject to change. But hopefully it doesnt delay
Yeah, and as much as I want to see a new trailer or promotion materials, I'd rather they release those later so they don't get buried by the Winter Games. I think they care about this production, so they will wait until it's a better time to promote it.
Small production xianxia drama with a repetitive plotline. Every iconic scene is reenacted like 4-5 times, with the old scene played again to draw parallel, which makes them repeat 8-10 times in total. Second leads were much more interesting.
I've read through the novel. It's good, but really sad. Looking forward to the live adaptation!
Yes there is, but the happy ending happens at a later point in time than the sad one, so I kind of treated that as the real ending instead of like an alternate "choose your own ending" kind of ending.
Allen's teal and gold costume in the new stills is the prettiest historical costume I've ever seen. Those golden swirls are so detailed and the fur part is very creative too. Very well suited for a merman + king living in a snowy place.
In the novel, FL ends up with SML. It's one of the things ppl liked about the novel, but for those who want ML…
FL's sister is not in love with ML. ML mistook FL's sister as the person who saved him (but it was actually FL). FL was sad that he couldn't recognize her, but didn't clarify. Another evil woman who was in love with the ML disguised herself as FL's sister and tried to harm FL, but ML took that other woman's side.

That's not the ending tho. In the end, the female lead sacrificed herself to make the world grow back, and went into slumber. Male lead revived her, but after she woke up, she stayed with second male lead. Rumors say that the drama version will have her choose the male lead instead.
