As someone who studied psychology, I can definitely say that MBTI is not scientific at all. Please don't buy into…
I like to dig into Jung's psychological types and the cognitive functions models, which MBTI was based on. The Jung theory has a tighter logical framework that makes more sense compared to the dichotomies of MBTI which tries to plot each function into polar extremes even though that's not how it actually works. I find "typing" people with Jung's cognitive functions to be way more accurate as it explains the preferences under which the human brain works on the conscious vs subconscious level, plus I agree with the explanation that each person is capable of using all functions, but are simply accustomed to using them in a certain order for better decision-making.
I'm writing a book on Jung's cognitive functions, so I interviewed different people and tried to analyzed their thought processes, and I observe that the order in which they thought about things tightly corresponded to the functional order of their type, so it seems to me that cognitive types is a reasonably accurate model (and better than the MBTI) even though it has flaws.
I LOVE MBTI and I also tried to type some of the iconic characters in K-dramas. Here's my personal take:
ENTJ: Jang Man Wol (Hotel del Luna)
INTJ: Nam Se Hee (Because This is My First Life) Hwang Tae Kyung (You're Beautiful) Lee Jung Hoon (Find Me in Your Memory) Yoo Jung (Cheese in the Trap)
INFJ: Kim Mi So (What's Wrong With Secretary Kim) Wang So (Scarlet Heart Ryeo) Hong Seol (Cheese in the Trap)
INTP: Do Min Joon (My Love from the Stars) Prof. Hong Baek Gyun (I'm Not a Robot)
INFP: Yoon Ji Ho (Because This is My First Life) Ko Mi Nyeo/Nam (You're Beautiful) Woo Seo Ri (Thirty But Seventeen) Gil Oh Sol (Clean With Passion for Now)
ISTP: Ji Chang Wook's character (Healer) - not entirely sure about this
ISFP: Gong Woo Jin (Thirty But Seventeen) Kang Mi Rae (My ID is Gangnam Beauty)
ISTJ: Wang Yeo/Grim Reaper (Goblin) Seo Do Jae (The Beauty Inside) Ri Jeong Hyuk (Crash Landing on You) Jang Sun Gyeol (Clean With Passion for Now)
ENFJ: Yoon Seo Ri (Crash Landing on You) Kim Sunny (Goblin) Goo Chan Sung (Hotel del Luna)
ESFJ: Kim Shin (Goblin) Kim Jan Di (Boys Over Flowers) Do Bong Soon (Strong Woman Do Bong Soon)
ISFJ: Kang Shin Woo (You're Beautiful)
ENFP: Hae Soo (Scarlet Heart Ryeo) Ji Eun Tak (Goblin) Jo Ji Ah (I'm Not a Robot)
ESFP: Jeremy (You're Beautiful) Cheon Song Yi (My Love From the Stars) Yeo Ha Jin (Find Me in Your Memory) - she could be ENFP, I'm not so sure about this one Baek In Ho (Cheese in the Trap)
Wow this drama is daebak! The cliffhangers make me squeal, and the chemistry is no joke! One of the best romcoms I've watched and I've been watching k-dramas for 10 years.
I LOVED BOF when I was a kid, and it was my ultimate favorite drama. But if I had watched it now, it would've been a major WTF for me because of all that toxicity.
This show has 11000 plus watchers in MDL and there are shows with 6k, 5k and 4k viewers above this just due to…
In the past, MDL's top airing list was based on number of watchers, but recently they updated it to consider not only the number of watchers but also the ratings (not sure about the ratio between those two criteria though). I think it's to make high rated but not well-known dramas get some more spotlight?
It's sad right? I'm certain so many people might have already called it a pass on this before even watching the…
They should show "N/A" on the cover page for ongoing dramas and when ppl press on it, show the rating for "Currently Watching" and "Dropped" ratings respectively. I think they did that before, but now they changed it back.
Don't worry about the MDL ratings guys, this drama just started airing so the rating is definitely not reflective. It takes some time for the rating to start representing the majority of viewers, after more people rate it and at a later stage of airing or better yet, after it finishes airing. (Usually the rating only becomes stable after around 2 years.)
If the title of the drama was said as a dialogue who do you think would say it: Ha-ji or Anchor Lee????Or would…
Since the Korean title means "That Man's Memory Method" I guess they're referring to Anchor Lee's memory? So "Find Me in Your Memory" means to find Ha Jin in Anchor Lee's memory? Since he's the one with hyperthymesia that seems to make sense.
who do you guys think that guy that abduct Hong Jo? i just curious... he looks so creepy. anyway love bromance…
Probably a serial cat killer psychopath or black market seller? He has the scent of many cats on his body so he must regularly be handling with cats. Guy probably abducts unattended cats all the time... scary.
I just realised that Seo Ji-hoon has got the girl in two different dramas where he wasn't even the lead. Bizarre…
I agree with you that he's not going to end up with the FL. And in the last part of the latest episode they even showed her noticing her change of heart which is substantial. Even if Hong Jo ends up leaving/dying from short lifespan/changing back into a cat forever she probably still won't end up with Jaesun because she no longer has feelings for him anymore. Plus you're right that the audience wouldn't want them together cuz the writers painted him in such a bad light and I doubt it can be redeemed anymore
Seems like it was always meant to be 12 episodes. Not a bad thing tho, cuz that would make the overall pacing better for a simple story. Hopefully more romance is coming since it has already passed the half episodes mark.
I'd give the first half a solid 9 or 9.5 but the second half was a 6.5 or 7 at best because of the inconsistent…
Every plot twist was basically a new rule that wasn't introduced before, so it became too deus ex machina for my taste... my favorite drama by this writer is Nine, and that drama had some of the best plot twists I've ever seen because of how intricately it played with the established rules. But after that drama the writer seemed to become more and more deus ex machina from W to Memories of the Alhambra. Random things often popped up from nowhere just to shock the audience, often times breaking rules or making things that were impossible at the start of the series to be suddenly possible, and we are expected to accept those things without questioning why or how. It's ok for a drama to be built upon fantasy and unrealistic elements, but there has to be a framework or a foundation as to how events occur.
Erm...I'm happy to see LDW in another fantastical role, but gumihos aren't meant to be always female??????
Gumihos are essentially fox spirits who have gained enough power to shapeshift into human form, and foxes have male and female, so I assume that there are male gumihos. It's just that female ones are more common in stories because gumihos are known for their ability to seduce people, that's why mistresses are called "gumihos".
i know it's the right thing for Jae Sun to do to care what kind of mysterious man under false name infiltrated…
I think the reason why it's annoying is because he's normally so cold and indifferent towards Sol Ah and doesn't care about her when he should, but suddenly cares way too much when another guy shows up.
