2013: Extraterrestrial vs Earth 2016: Sea vs Land 2019: North vs South 2022: Idk what it's gonna be but I'll bet you 100% it's gonna be about star crossed lovers
I feel scammed. This was marketed as a sweet romance drama but all the kissing scenes were either cut or filmed from very far away. I wonder if it's because of censorship issues again. But it's just kissing????
The drama is fun but it feels gross to set a romcom in north korea. People starve there, and anyone that watches…
I do feel guilty whenever I laugh when watching the drama. It's like capitalizing and romanticizing a country without freedom and human rights. They also weren't accurate with the portrayal so it doesn't shed light on the real problems there, but they can't be accurate as well as that would probably anger NK by exposing their dark side. Either way, this drama can't really be taken seriously and should just be viewed in discretion with reality.
Is set in NK for real or is just an imitation of the country? I mean is like this NK? anyone knows?
People have limited freedom in NK so it's impossible to actually film there. The drama was filmed in SK and other places to imitate NK.
Living standards in NK are much worse than what was portrayed in the drama. The ML's job gives him more privilege in the country but it still won't be as luxurious as what we see here. When SKers make a drama about NK, they would naturally project their own world view on NK, so there must be some discrepancy with the true situation. It's a drama and a romcom, so political and cultural accuracy doesn't seem to be important to their writing.
I really really liked this and will definitely continue to watch but I'm curious about something.. I really don't…
It probably isn't as taboo for SK to portray sb from NK to be righteous as it is the other way around. SK has always wanted to unite the two nations to prevent war plus they're the more privileged side, but NK, on the other hand, is quite conscious about not wanting their citizens find out how much better the living standards are on the other side so they won't mention about SK on their TV let alone portray SK people as righteous.
at time it is indeed bloody (it reminds me of quentin tarantino's style tbh, but it's not that bad I guess
This is a black comedy so do expect some violence and bloody moments, but overall there's nothing I would describe as "creepy" or "horrifying". I'm not sure what would qualify as traumatizing, but this movie could be traumatizing not in the scary sense but in the pessimistic sense. In general, it doesn't aim to terrify the audience, but to strike you with some dark reality.
A bit overrated imo. I liked Shoplifters and Burning much more, and since these three movies had similar themes, I couldn't help but draw comparison. Parasite is good for its mix of genres, but it also felt incoherent and choppy in some places.
I watch LOTJ & I had no idea about this. That's sad. It's not her fault. They should've sued the production crew/co.…
They're supposed to, but the park staff from Thailand said the crew went filming without the guide knowing. Unfortunately, by law, it has to be the very person who eats the endangered species that gets sued, even though it should've been the production team's fault for not doing enough research. It's sad indeed :(
Soon, the government is going to ban girls running away from home to become warriors. This theme is getting really…
Ikr! The problem about her is that she doesn't know martial arts but she keeps getting herself into dangerous situations. If not for the ML, she would have died a hundred times. She's supposed to be very smart, but somehow she's not smart when it comes to this.
This is not like as I expected :( it is childish comedy .... I expected much more mature action type mixed with…
The screenwriter was behind My Love from the Stars and Legend of the Blue Sea, so we could sort of guess the style of this drama to be a quirky romcom as well
Is Lee Yeol Reum the actress that was sued by Thailand for eating endangered species of clam during the filming of The Law of the Jungle? If yes, that's so sad and I hope she's fine :( This drama might be filmed before that happened tho?
Son Ye Jin's visuals are so underrated. She was breathtakingly beautiful in the movie The Classic and the drama Summer Scent. Definitely the most beautiful actress at the time. She's still pretty now, just more mature-looking. Looking forward to her new drama :)
Plot twist: The leads of WWWSK could have been dating and broke up so they looked awkward!!! Yeah, but jokes aside,…
Sadly, that's what happens when fans become possessive. And since there's nothing celebrities can do about the behaviour, they can only be careful not to "trigger" their fans when having dating rumours. That's why many celeb couples end up having to break up or go underground
Dear Shippers, BEWARE: Please protect this couple by NOT shipping them too hard. I understand that they look very…

Yeah, but jokes aside, it's not good idea to ship people too hard because they'll feel embarrassed about it and stop appearing in the same occasionto prevent uproars that direct people's attention away from the occasion.
