I wouldn't go as far as to call it a love triangle in the sense that LX doesn't ever really fall for JX. She is…
LX does retain her memories as LM but when she was LM, she had no memories as LX so in her pov she is not LX, hence the fact that JC loved her as LX but not exactly as herself really broke her and *spoiler* turned out to be her biggest and last trial. The trauma would still be there even after she returns as LX because it was a real experience. Whether they are the same person is a very philosophical question and it varies by perspective, which is what makes the drama thought-provoking.
From the description, it does sound to me a little bit like The journey of a flower. Is it?
Sort of, in terms of the status difference between the leads. Except for this one, the characters are actually honest about their feelings and causes less problems to each other. They also have a much healthier relationship.
Depends on what you mean by draggy. It's long, but it doesn't unnecessarily prolong the plot. Everything that…
The kisses happen later into the story. But once they happen it is great, the buildup in front makes it better. There's also a bed scene near the end. But then, you'll have to experience some ups and downs with the characters first. But it's all worth it. The events that happen in the front are romantic too.
When you mentioned steamy and real kisses *coughs* this is the real thing I am looking for hahaha
Hahahaha... yeah I promise you it wouldn't be dead-fish kisses like in TMOPB. Actually if you watch the behind-the-scenes clips later there are two more steamy kissing shots that were cut out. But the kisses that made it into the drama are still good.

Yunfeng doesnt die but he turns into stone to save QY and JX gets dies in the last episode
Yes, he turned evil. He became Mo Jun in the end and the leads teamed up against him. I pity his character too he deserved a better end and I wish he remained a good person :(
Can someone tell me if Run Yu gets a happy ending or a satisfying ending? :( I’m starting to really love him…
He deserves a better ending but at least he didn't die and became a good guy again and still has someone who cares about him. It could have been so much worse given that he's an antagonist. But I guess even the producers sympathize with his situation ;)
From ep 3 to 10 was like wow! it gives me Ten miles of peach blossom's feeling but now I'm getting bored specially…
To be fair, they both took advantage of her. Runyu set up a trap to make her his fiance, while Xufeng always thought the person she loved was him and that the wedding was against her will. It's wrong for him to pursue her while she's sb else's fiance, but it was also wrong for Runyu to have tricked her into the marriage knowing she doesn't know what love is. Basically there is sth I don't like about both the leads, but I have more sympathy for Runyu than the self-righteous Xufeng who keeps unknowingly hurting people.
Honestly JC is not the most handsome, mediocre at best, but not ugly like people are saying... but he fits this…
I personally find him very handsome (in modern attire), but I agree his looks are a bit unflattering in this drama. Like you said, there's no dispute that he fits this role 100% tho!
Great article. Thanks for the explanations I have not finish it I really just want lots of spoilers.@ Abzzski:…
This is the type of drama that slowly grows on people. I also got hooked to TMOPB and AOL way from the start, while L&D took me much longer. That being said, after watching the whole show, I'd put L&D above TMOPB and AOL. Its qualities unravel slowly but it is very promising. The second and third arcs are the best parts, so I hope you can keep holding on until then.
For some reason I didn't like these two dramas as much as I thought I would. They both have really good reception tho, so I'm definitely a minority. My personal picks for epic dramas in each category:
Mystery: - Signal - Nine: Nine Times Time Travels
Fantasy Romance: - Queen In Hyun's Man - Secret Garden
Slice of Life: - Reply 1988 - Because This is My First Life
Hope you can take on more drama roles in the future. Love L&D and your movies!
