I’m so happy someone else sees this!!!!! Here is my question— do you think Pok will be hurt/angry/betrayed at Tong because of the test switch? We already know that Pok is deep into Tong and Tong has feelings for Pok. Definitely a combination of the reasons you mentioned. Hurt and angry that Tong didn’t believe in Pok to do well on the test and anger and betrayal that Tong kept the truth which cost Pok a swimming medal. Their relationship started out rough and it’s only a matter of time before things get out. Pok has missed all these red flags in Tong’s attitude and behaviors, that I’m nervous of the outcome.

Sandee is taking on this villainous role, but I hope they add depth to the character. I can completely understand his reasons for beating Pok, but if he is interfering with Thanu and Wayu’s relationship because he loves Phai, and thinks Thanu will go to Phai I’ll cry. This is the only theory I can come up with. They have to really write his character well for that to work because he is showing no remorse for his actions, so I question his reasons.

I liked how the writers had Pitch’s character be an ass for 2 episodes. When they all became friends he was actually a really decent guy. I was so scared he would be 2 faced, but it worked out. So happy you find Sandee’s character as interesting as I do.

Title Not Me
HELLLAURRR?? first ep and goes boom this is so exciting! i know fs sean know the pretending black is not black…
I second your excitement for Dan and Yok. I didn’t like Fluke as Mork in Dark Blue Kiss and Kiss Me Again. I can’t explain why, but I didn’t like the Fluke/Pod pairing. It’s funn because I like Pod in Tonhon and Chonlatee (although the show leaves something to be desired) and Fluke said one word, and I love him. I wonder if it was just the partnering …

There is no question that Off/Gun will deliver, so I am here for the side couple!

I really like this drama but it is just more of a guilty pleasure. The cast if very attractive and Dun is in my…
Most of this first episode felt cringy to me….. mostly the accidental bump into Wayu and both Thanu and Pha catching him….*sigh* …..
I enjoyed the faceless Pha in season 1. Although I was fed up with Wayu’s incessant crying, The entire ghosting aspect was 100 percent on point. They did a pretty good job of how a person would feel in a similar situation. I felt so bad for Wayu and I was cursing Pha——how hard is it to give someone a reason for breaking up?——

On another note, Thanu is a rebound, so if they don’t end up together, I would not be sad. I also don’t like the idea of Thanu and Phai because the execution of the “fated love” fell really flat in season 1.

I agree with you that Mark and Kit were the highlight of the show….do you feel that their relationships ever truly progress? I feel these two act the exact same in every show they work together and there is never any movement…. I do like them as actors, but I feel I never see them really act. Best scene was when Mark confessed and he was hurt by Kit’s response. It could be just me though.

The story I am most looking forward to is Thanu and Padbok. Their entire friends to enemies troupe was played up so hard is season 1 that they better deliver. There’d better be a helluva good reason why Padbok hates Thanu and if it’s less than epic, I’ll die of betrayal!!!!

Thanks for the summary….I kept asking myself since when were Tong and Pok so close and lovey dovey? I watched the last episode of the Gen Y because I remembered Tong and Pok hating each other.. . more specifically Tong hating Pok with a passion… looks like Pok’s sex game cleared that rivalry quickly.

I’m not sure where Sandee is going, but he has me scared!
And I like it…. That man is willing to do anything for love, and those are the ones to be afraid of.
On Once in Memory: Wish Me Luck Dec 23, 2021
It is a sweet predictable time killer. There are just too many major plot holes that I can’t overlook.

1. Ton seems to know the friends, but he isn’t friends with them. Ryu refers to them as “my friends” anytime he is doing something without P’Ton. It wasn’t a huge deal at first, but when we learn that they all planned this, it turned into a big deal. How is it that P’Ton was able to plan this with two people he isn’t even friends with or close enough to have their contact?

2. If P’Ton and Ryu had known each other from before, why could P’Ton not tell Ryu he saved him from drowning? Why would P’Ton leave without saying anything or making sure Ryu was in a hospital before leaving his ring and running away? I’m still confused if they are friends or just acquaintances.

3. Why light the sparklers for 3 years? And photograph him for 3 years? What purpose does this serve? Is P’Ton shy? Is he expressing the depths of his affection? I’m assuming they don’t live close enough to see each other on the regular—which explains the cloak and dagger— BUT they are a couple now. So the original problem persists. I sure hope they exchange Lines this time.

4. And my favorite—P’Ton I almost drowned here… kidding… but really I did. And I’m pining for the person who saved me…keep flirting and I’ll fall for you too. Damn you Fai!

Yes I know I am probably reading too much into what is supposed to be a cute love story, and I don’t want to make theories to explain the holes. I had to watch more than once because I thought I kept falling asleep and missed something important. Please feel free to give me your insights.

I do agree with you!! This was so hard for me to watch in its entirety. I especially cried after learning about Tar. Anytime children are victims of sexual abuse I break down.

I still enjoyed the show very much because of the realistic portrayal of relationships. There are so many same sex couples that face domestic abuse and it gets overlooked because they are men, and it’s impossible for me to be abused. This is one show that does not romanticize being gay. Even women will stay in a toxic/abusive relationships because of love. This show really nails human needs for companionship regardless of the danger.

After the first time they had sex, I was pleasantly surprised Type admitted to being in pain and uncomfortable. Other shows portray anal sex as this easy thing to fall into and it’s no big deal. Even Tharn admitted to anal sex being awful, which is why he is ALWAYS the top.

Ahhhh the curse of 2 Moons 2. Haha I personally liked the development of the character relationships better in 2 Moons 2. I can compartmentalize pretty well, so the change in the cast didn’t bother me. People loved the cast more from 2 Moons better.

So the first few episodes of 2M2 summarizes the entire season of 2M. Then the last episodes start its own story continuing from where season 1 ends…. I think they wanted to get the viewers acclimated to the new actors. 2M3 will pick up from where 2M2 ends off with an entirely new cast too. It’s a hot mess. I do think it’s worth watching them both, but you don’t need to see 2 M to watch 2M2. I would say 2M is a stand alone, but 2M2 needs a 2nd season so the change in actors will be more jarring.

This disagreement is hilarious, but I agree with you 100 percent. I was recently telling someone about this show and I also indicated it as a slow paced romance for the very same reason as you. After my friend watched it, she was so grateful I didn’t spoil the twist for her. I highly doubt anyone would be misled by your words. And when they do learn Pha’s history with Yo, they will scream just as we probably did. I died a million times watching Pha watch Yo dancing in the glasses. One of the best Aha moments I’ve witnessed.

I did like 2 Moons 2 for the progression of Ming/Kit and Forth/Beam’s love stories. Even though it was Pha/Yo’s love story in 2 Moons, they didn’t serve much of a purpose other than eye candy. But I did love the original!

I hesitate to start two moons, should I watch?
I suppose it depends on why you hesitate to watch it…. Why do you hesitate?

It is a slower paced romance between the 2 leads, but it is worth the wait. If you are looking for a jump right into courting and lots of skin ship, then you will be disappointed. I felt like in many parts they focused too much on the Moon contest instead of character relationships, but the setting is college where attractiveness is a thing. Overall, I did enjoy the show and didn’t want to drop it over my few dislikes of the show.

Title 7 Project
Your water comment had me dying. I’m still giggling hours after the fact. The saving grace for Earth is that…
OMG yes this makes so much sense and I truly appreciate you taking the time and effort to explain. I am a female and a high school teacher. I was first introduced to BL by one of my students a few years ago. Love By Chance was the first BL I watched and I was astounded by the love story and and how well first loves were portrayed. I have felt all the emotions of Pete and Ae with the exception of being concerned and bullied over my sexuality. I have had many students over the years come out to me and this year I have 3 students who don’t identify with their biological sex. I want to be an ally for them, but also recognize I don’t truly understand because it is an experience I have never encountered. And I HATE when people say things like I don’t see color I see people. I 1000 percent agree that it completely undermines a person’s identity and it is completely insulting. I can’t pretend I don’t notice I have transgender students because I met them prior to their changes and I noticed. But I want to be supportive and respect their identity and pronouns.

To your point about the stereotypical top/bottom debate, I almost feel that the reason they make them this way is to make people “feel better” about homosexuality, specifically men. By having the one being penetrated more feminine, it becomes closer to a traditional heterosexual couple that viewers can relate to. Have you seen the Japanese show “What Did You Eat Yesterday?” There is a scene where the ML takes his boyfriend home to meet his parents and his parents assumed one of them dressed up as a woman when they are at home. I found it to be so funny because I hear that type of conversations when older people talk about male couples.

And don’t get me started on Leo and Fiat. As much as I love them as a couple, their story is falling so flat because of the character development. Episode after episode I feel the story is focused on them having sex and no longer on the romantic element of why they became a couple in the first place. I feel like Fiat loves Leo because Leo has never left, and Leo loves Fiat because he needs to feel needed. I don’t know if that’s what the writer’s intended, but that’s what they are delivering. Ahhhh you are such a cool person to have a chat with about these topics. Thank you, my friend!

Also, maybe you can help answer a question for me not related to this specific show. I notice you post a lot about disliking the stereotypical BL stories, and at times, they way couples are stereotyped in top/bottom or effeminate etc roles. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

I have seen in a few shows where a regularly straight guy will say, “I’m not gay. I just like him…” and I see people go off in the comments about hating when characters say that. Can you kindly explain to me why saying that is problematic? I have my suspicions, but I could totally be wrong.

Your water comment had me dying. I’m still giggling hours after the fact.

The saving grace for Earth is that he has the aesthetics to continue to play the typical bullied, whinny high school kid. I do agree that he should be given different roles because he CAN act.

The story would have been 10X better if they dropped the bully story. That completely killed the mood for me. Santa saved the show and he is the reason I watched the entire episode. I miss a love story being just a love story. No need for Santa to be a knight in shining armor saving the damsel in distress. And the time jump was just a mess.

The resort hostess irked my nerves too! Yes, both male leads are handsome and the acting was ok.

I think the part of the plot that was actually refreshing was Nine asking for Nuea’s lineID at the end. I thought it would end with, ooops I had sex with a guy due to inebriation, so let’s pretend it never happened. The main series looks more promising based on the ending.

Title Don't Say No
I can truly empathize with Fiat’s current predicament. He was single and promiscuous, which is not a crime, however, he tried to go after Type despite knowing Type had a boyfriend. He defended himself by saying Type isn’t married so he’s fair game. Now all of his past indiscretions are coming back to haunt him. Atonement anyone? I respect the writers that are depicting one still has to pay for actions made in the past regardless of time and maturity. Sure, Fiat has changed, but it doesn’t erase the hurt he inflicted on others. I love that this show doesn’t just gloss over it and it is addressed.

It’s even more heartbreaking that Leo blames himself for Fiat’s issue. Had I just confessed sooner… I do hope they force Fiat to stand on his own and stop relying on Leo to clean up all his problems. I don’t think there is anything wrong with having supports, however, Fiat not willing to stand up for himself, especially when Leo is getting hurt in the process, will be a major issue for me. We are only 3 episodes in so I don’t expect Fiat to miraculously change now, but by the end, I hope he grows up and give Leo the commitment and consideration Fiat has given him all these years.

This makes sense because there is no distinction through the entire duration of the show except that one part I mentioned. I interpreted that differently than what you describe. If you read the above comment from umasou007, the said in interviews GAD is referred to as the husband. Completely how you say the novel describes them.

Once again it really doesn’t matter. I typically assume gay couples are versatile as straight couples. Sometimes the man is on top and sometimes the woman is on top. But hey, thanks for the additional info. I haven’t read the novels…. Are they good??

That’s a fair point. I typically don’t watch actor interviews, so if they clarify things I miss it. I typically rely heavily on the writing and directing and analyze based on those things. It makes sense that when they hold fan meetings and interviews that they would try to clarify things.

Well…. That’s not really an answer as my observation is solely based on that single interaction in the show…. and of course it doesn’t matter nor change the plot or characters in anyway. I find it hilarious when directors purposefully add those subtleties as if it does matter. This is done either directly or indirectly in most BLs. It was pretty clear in the scene, so my question was more rhetorical. Sorry I didn’t clarify that part.

I like this site because you can isolate titles by the tags and avoid anything with a tragedy tag. You can also isolate by the novels that are fully translated etc.
